GAMBLING IN CONTESTS WITH REGRET

This paper discusses the gambling contest introduced in Seel and Strack (2013, Gambling in Contests, Journal of Economic Theory, 148(5), 2033–2048) and considers the impact of adding a penalty associated with failure to follow a winning strategy. The Seel and Strack model consists of n‐agents each of whom privately observes a transient diffusion process and chooses when to stop it. The player with the highest stopped value wins the contest, and each player's objective is to maximize her probability of winning the contest. We give a new derivation of the results of Seel and Strack based on a Lagrangian approach. Moreover, we consider an extension of the problem to a behavioral finance context in the sense of regret theory. In particular, an agent is penalized when her chosen strategy does not win the contest, but there existed an alternative strategy that would have resulted in victory.

随着全国楼市火爆,新疆经济建设速度的加快,乌鲁木齐近年来出现了建房、购房热潮,相继建起了一大批多高层住宅小区,物业管理也随之产生,物业公司的消防安全管理水平直接关系到高层住宅小区的消防安全状况。尤其是高层底商楼和电梯公寓楼的消防管理还不成熟、不完善。     

House price dynamics: Evidence from Beijing

To study the house price dynamics in China, this paper extends the traditional life-cycle model by incorporating land supply, regime shifts and government regulation factors. The models are estimated with an error correction framework using quarterly data from 2000 to 2007 in Beijing. The conclusions are as follows. (1) There exits a stable co-integration relationship between house price and fundamentals; land supply and financial regimes are also important determinants of long-run equilibrium house prices. (2) Short-run dynamics depend on changes of fundamentals and the adjustment process of housing market. Land supply has a significant impact on house price fluctuations while demand factors such as user costs, income and residential mortgage loan have greater influences. The adjustment speed of real house prices to the long-run equilibrium has been reduced significantly since 2005 which means exogenous shocks can cause prolonged deviation of real house prices from the equilibrium level.     

文拉法辛与阿米替林治疗年轻女性首发抑郁症对照研究

目的研究文拉法辛治疗年轻女性首发抑郁症的有效性及安全性。方法采用随机、单盲对照法,将120例18～40岁的首发抑郁症女性患者分为研究组(文拉法辛)和对照组(阿米替林),疗程8周。结果研究组显效率为59.7%,有效率为87.1%,对照组显效率为60.3%,有效率为86.2%,两药差异无显著(P>0.05)。治疗第2周末,研究组的HAMD减分率高于对照组(t=2.68,P<0.05)。治疗第4周末,研究组的TESS评分低于对照组,两组差异显著性(P<0.05)。结论文拉法辛治疗年轻女性首发抑郁症有效且不良反应较少,依从性好,耐受性好。

西方骑士文学与中国武侠文学发展历程之比较

西方骑士文学和中国武侠文学母题相似,都是歌颂正义必定战胜邪恶,但因二者产生的社会背景及根源的不同,因而在文学史上的发展历程及结局也大相径庭。西方骑士文学在封建制度灭亡之后,逐渐失去了生命力,而中国武侠文学却一直蓬勃发展。
