Leisure and tourism activities may be integrally related for some. This study examined the relationship between the preferred leisure and tourism activities and psychological involvement in paddling of a group of paddlers. Participants were surveyed at the completion of a paddle tour. Data were analyzed using frequencies, confirmatory factor analysis, cross-tabulations, and ANOVA. Four types of leisure-tourism connection (LTC) were identified. People more highly involved with paddling tended to paddle while on vacation compared with other LTC types. The findings provide empirical evidence for previous assertions proposing a connection between involvement in leisure activities and subsequent tourism behaviors.  相似文献

Previous studies on B&B (Bed and Breakfast) website usage behavior focused mainly on clients. It has been seldom researched to apply the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to verify the owner/operator usage behavior on B&B websites. This study aims to validate the causal relationship among beliefs, usage attitude, and behavior intention in website usage of B&B owners/operators. The results revealed that the TAM was recognized and the perceived ease of usage of B&B websites plays the most important role on the behavioral intention of B&B owners/operators. An easy and effective B&B website may allow an owner/operator to improve a B&B’s operational performance. Age has a significantly negative influence on perceived ease of use for B&B websites and educational attainment has a positive impact on perceived ease of use for B&B websites. Finally, conclusions and implications were discussed. This study can be used as a theoretical foundation and reference for further exploring related issues.  相似文献

This study presents a brand equity theory of culinary tourism by integrating behavioural theory with the mediation-moderation model. The culinary tourism brand-equity model underscores the value of tourists’ expectations as a means to enhance the effects of travel motivation on behavioural intention. This study empirically tests this theory using a sample of 513 foreign tourists and provides evidence that travel motivation mediates the relationship between the four critical attributes of brand equity and behavioural intention. Furthermore, the results confirm the interrelationships within brand equity and reveal that tourist expectations positively moderate the relationship between travel motivation and behavioural intention. Implications for theory, research, and practice are discussed.  相似文献

This study identifies differences in immediate and delayed post-consumption emotional assessments, triggering a dynamic shift in word-of-mouth evaluation and repurchase intention. Experiment 1 compares participants' responses to cellphone purchases in immediate and half-hour delay conditions. Experiment 2 generalizes the research scope by examining biscuit consumption and imposing an additional 24-hour delay. Results indicate that (1) products with higher hedonic value elicit excitement and cheerfulness, which intensify over time and increase consumer loyalty; (2) products with higher utilitarian value induce feelings of confidence and security, which gradually fade in intensity and diminish consumer loyalty over time; (3) products with lower hedonic value lead to dissatisfaction, which dissipates over time, and low-level consumer loyalty rises; and (4) products with lower utilitarian value generate feelings of anger, which grow over time and erode consumer loyalty.  相似文献

针对如何选择创新路径以提升创新驱动发展绩效问题,科学构建了创新驱动发展路径结构关系体系,并从知识积累异质性视角,深入探讨高技术产业创新驱动发展路径影响机制的动态异质门槛特征。研究表明:高技术产业创新驱动发展路径的影响机理存在显著的知识积累门槛特征效应;适度的知识积累水平更有利于创新路径充分发挥正向促进效应,较高或较低的知识积累水平均会在一定程度上影响创新路径的驱动作用,说明知识积累对创新路径驱动效应存在临界规模;随着地区知识积累水平提升,不同创新路径的驱动效应呈现差异化,需要针对知识积累水平选择最优创新路径以驱动地区发展。最后,地区知识积累具有阶段性发展特性,而现阶段还需控制和保持在合理范围内,警惕门槛特征带来的负向效应。  相似文献

This study examined consumers’ preferences and willingness to pay (WTP) for locally produced ground beef with an emphasis on the impacts of product attributes and the heterogeneity caused by rural consumers’ characteristics. We applied the choice-based conjoint technique to analyze data collected from a typical rural town in the Northern Great Plains. The results indicate that location associated product brand differences and leanness were dominant components affecting consumers’ WTP. The premium of locally produced ground beef for consumers with a close tie to local production is $0.48/lb. Cut difference, grass-fed, and organic were trivial factors in determining consumers’ WTP.  相似文献

Cointegration and impulse response analyses are used to investigate the short-run and long-run dynamics of the Australian beef market. The aim of this study is to determine whether long-run relationships existed between Australian beef prices at the farm, wholesale and retail levels. Based on monthly data from 1971 to 1994, the results show that all three prices considered are cointegrated. Furthermore, the wholesale price is found to be weakly exogenous. The latter result might be an indication of market inefficiency due in part to price levelling often practised in the beef marketing system.  相似文献
