关于珍贵乡土用材树种资源培育的思考——以本溪市为例

文章探讨了开展珍贵乡土用材树种培育的战略意义,分析了人们对乡土珍贵用材树种的漠视和培育方面存在的问题,以及辽宁省本溪开展乡土珍贵用材树种资源培育具备的优势条件,提出了定向改培和新造林的技术思路及其方法措施。     

Do natural disasters increase the likelihood that a government is replaced?

We examine the impact of natural disasters on the likelihood that a government is removed from office using panel data for 156 countries over the period 1975–2010. Employing a conditional logit model, we find that the occurrence of natural disasters, the number of natural disasters and disaster-related losses increase the chances that a government will be replaced. The magnitudes of these effects differ widely across natural disaster types, but are robust to the inclusion of economic and political variables and to model specifications. Overall, these findings are consistent across our sample of OECD and non-OECD countries.     

The Relation between Physical and Risk‐neutral Cumulants

Variance swaps are natural instruments for investors taking directional bets on volatility and are often used for portfolio protection. The empirical observation on skewness research suggests that derivative professionals may also desire to hedge beyond volatility risk and there exists the need to hedge higher‐moment market risks, such as skewness and kurtosis risks. We study two derivative contracts – skewness swap and kurtosis swap – which trade the forward realized third and fourth cumulants. Using S&P 500 index options data from 1996 to 2005, we document the returns of these swap contracts, i.e., skewness risk premium and kurtosis risk premium. We find that the both skewness and kurtosis risk premiums are significantly negative.     

Control of subsidiaries of MNCs from emerging economies in developed countries: the case of Taiwanese MNCs in the UK

There has been considerable research over the past few decades on the process through which headquarters of multinationals from developed economies exercise control over their network of subsidiaries in foreign countries. However, little research has been conducted on multinationals from emerging economies operating in developed countries. In this article, we examine the motives for, and mechanisms by which, headquarters of Taiwanese multinationals exercise control over their subsidiaries in the UK. The article draws on data collected through 66 interviews with top managers and human resource managers from four UK based subsidiaries of Taiwanese multinationals. The study reveals that Taiwanese multinationals use both output control and behaviour control to manage their subsidiaries in the UK.     

宏观经济大局与企业发展战略——在清华大学《2012年中国经济走势与西王集团公司战略》高层研讨会上的发言

目前,世界经济正处于增长速度放缓、欧洲主权债务危机持续蔓延的阶段,把握世界经济走势和特点,调整经济发展战略成为了企业实现长远发展的迫切要求。清华大学中国经济研究中心研究员常修泽在清华大学《2012年中国经济走势与西王集团公司战略》高层研讨会上,结合山东西王集团公司的实际,探讨了企业发展战略问题。他指出,2012年中国企业的发展要把握好经济稳定增长、经济结构调整、保障民生、体制改革和社会管理创新五个要点。对于西王集团公司而言,要牢牢把握发展实体经济的基本线路;拓展经营范围,做强国际贸易;推进以玉米为中心的文化创意产业和健康服务产业的发展。     

An application of six sigma methodology to enhance leisure service quality

Thanks to flourishing development of the service industry for the past few years, its GDP output value is over 73%, which accounts for 58% of the employment population. The leisure service industry, in particular grows by multiple revealing its significant importance. As there is a feature of high homogeneity and substitution in the same trade, the core issue lies on enhancement of service quality in an environment of keen competition. As a result, six sigma (6σ) is applied in this research to improve service quality and increase competitiveness of the leisure industry. First, the service quality model proposed by Parasuraman, A., V. A. Zeithaml, and L. L. Berry (PZB model for short) is utilized to design the items in the service quality questionnaire. Importance and satisfaction of each service item perceived by customers are based for the scale, whose means are further converted to indexes. Thus, a scale-based service performance evaluation matrix with indices of importance as the Y-axis and those of satisfaction as the X-axis is defined. Then, service factors of high importance and low satisfaction are located and defined for improvement in accordance with the index location of each service factor. A measurement model based on the difference between customers’ importance and satisfaction is proposed and a measurement index is defined for an objective evaluation method and procedures. Next, factors of customer dissatisfaction are analyzed and improvement methods are devised. Finally, leisure service quality is monitored by the performance control model.     

浅议体外预应力技术在现代工程改造中的应用

在现代工程结构改造中,为了完善建筑功能,形成新的大跨度空间,通过体外预应力技术实现托梁抽柱的施工工艺已经越来越多的被设计、施工单位所应用。通过对某大学教学楼会议室改造的设计理论和施工组织的研究探讨,阐明了该技术的可靠性和有效性。     

企业视角下的创新人才培育模式研究

创新人才的培育是企业经营发展过程中的一项重要内容。文章分析了企业创新人才培育现状与存在问题,并根据现存问题从企业视角提出了若干创新人才培育策略。研究结果对企业提高创新人才培育工作质量具有一定的参考价值。
