This article presents a medium-term forecast of the development of the Russian nanoindustry, taking into account the assumed transition of the industry from the formation stage to the investment growth stage. Problems associated with the estimated output volumes of products in the Russian nanoindustry are considered, since the trends recorded in the primary statistical data are very far from reflecting the real situation due to the imperfection of the system of statistics of nano-containing products, as well as a reduction of state funding and a decline in the intensity of research in the industry. It is concluded that a full-fledged industry has not been yet completely formed in Russia and it actually exists only as a statistical phenomenon; in addition, the project really set different objectives from the declared creation of a breakthrough high-technology branch. 相似文献

This paper is the first comprehensive analysis of the U.S. antidumping sunset review process required under WTO commitments.
The econometric models study determinants of decisions by three U.S. actors: the petitioning industry, the Department of Commerce
(DOC), and the International Trade Commission (ITC). Domestic industries facing potential vigorous competition seem to use
sunset reviews to maintain current high domestic profits. U.S. governmental institutions use criteria broadly consistent with
their legal obligations. Exports involving Chinese firms may face negative bias in the ITC process.

Some financial stress events lead to macroeconomic downturns, while others appear to be isolated to financial markets. We identify financial stress regimes using a model that explicitly links financial variables to macro‐economic outcomes. The stress regimes are identified using an unbalanced panel of financial variables with an embedded method for variable selection. Our identified stress regimes are associated with corporate credit tightening and with NBER recessions. An exogenous deterioration in our financial conditions index has strong negative effects in economic activity, and negative amplification effects on inflation in the stress regime. The Rosse–Panzar revenue test for competitive conditions in banking is based on observation of the impact on bank revenue of variation in factor input prices. We identify the implications for the H-statistic of misspecification bias in the revenue equation, arising when adjustment towards market equilibrium is partial and not instantaneous. In simulations, fixed effects estimation produces a measured H-statistic that is severely biased towards zero. Empirical results for the banking sectors of the Group of Seven (G7) countries corroborate our principal finding, that a dynamic formulation of the revenue equation is required for accurate identification of the H-statistic. 相似文献

Workload control is a production planning and control concept specifically designed for complex manufacturing environments. Past research on Workload control has been essentially focused on discrete order release. This means that release of orders to the shop floor takes places on a periodic basis. Continuous order release has been somehow neglected, in spite of its apparent potential for improving system performance, including the reduction of order flow times. This paper presents a simulation study of this order release approach. Motivated by SEC regulations requiring a majority of independent directors on corporate boards, we examine director informativeness and ability by observing the trading performance of independent directors who serve on multiple boards. As a proxy for informativeness, we find positive trading performance relative to purchases and sales. More impressive, these performance opportunities appear to be available to market participants who observe directors' Form 4 trades. We do not find evidence that diversification motives or busyness affects director trading performance. On the other hand, we do find that audit and compensation committee memberships enhance director trading performance on the sales side but that committee membership does not affect the profitability of director purchases. In comparison, multi-firm directors out-perform single-firm directors and this performance differential seems to be more attributable to superior ability than to better information. 相似文献

mail survey. The research design included a control group and four experimental groups with the following treatments: a prepayment
of $1.00 enclosed with the questionnaire (immediate personal reward), $1.00 promised upon return of the questionnaire with
the respondent identified (delayed personal reward, no anonymity), $1.00 promised upon return of the questionnaire with no
identification of the respondent (delayed personal reward, anonymity), and the promise of $1.00 contribution to a respondent-selected
charity (delayed non-personal reward). The $1.00 prepayment yielded a statistically significant higher response rate than
the $1.00 promised to charity or $1.00 promised upon return of the questionnaire. This study generally supports existing empirical
foudnations of equity theory. An immediate personal reward yields a higher response rate than a delayed personal or non-personal

For the purpose of equipping researchers in marketing with a more sophisticated method to measure alienation in a marketing
context, the authors have constructed and initially tested an alienation from the marketplace index. Alienation is defined
in terms of Melvin Seeman's (1959) five basic variants of alienation: powerlessness, meaninglessness, normlessness, social
isolation, and self-estrangement. After pretesting, two questions per variant of alienation remained as the operational measures
of alienation from the marketplace. These questions focused specifically on marketing phenomenon. Test-retest reliability
was tested with 35 paired observations. Validity was checked with survey data from 140 households. In terms of face or content
validity, the questions met the criterion of “looking as if” they should indicate the corresponding dimensions of alienation.
Correlations between the marketplace alienation items and a measure of general alienation established concurrent validity.
The authors propose that the use of the marketplace alienation index in studies involving those who are affected by our country's
business climate may prove useful. For example, one would hypothesize that increasing alienation from the marketplace would
be associated with support of consumerist goals, or even of additional government legislation to control problems that the
individual feels is uncontrollable by him because of the bigness and indifference of modern day enterprise.
