Monitoring economic security in the region based on indicators of sustainable development

The paper proposes a system of indicators, i.e., economic security indicators of the region, the monitoring of which will allow to control the situation, and correct the state of economic security in the region in a timely manner. The assessments of prospects for the industrial development in the region have been given. Options for business strategies and a complex of measures of regulatory control aimed at forming value chains that enable redistribution for regional producers have been proposed.     

EXPORT PROMOTION THROUGH BONUS IMPORTS: AN APPRAISAL OF INDIA'S EXPERIMENT

The purpose of writing this paper is first to describe and then to appraise an experiment in the field of export promotion which was recently tried in India. It will be of interest to many, particularly in underdeveloped countries faced with chronic balance of payments deficits under the pressure of their development programmes, to know how this experiment in export promotion worked and what results, if any, it achieved in India.     

When to Use Loose or Tight Alliance Networks for Innovation? Empirical Evidence

This study examines the impact of different degrees of organizational coupling among the members of innovation alliance project networks on the commercial performance of collaborative innovations. Specifically, we study how type of innovation (modular vs. architectural innovation) moderates this relationship. Using data from 664 product innovation networks from five different industries in the United States, we find that the degree of organizational coupling among innovation network members significantly affects the commercial performance of collaborative innovations and that the type of innovation has a significant moderating effect. More specifically, the impact on commercial innovation performance of organizational coupling is positive for modular innovations and negative for architectural innovations.
