This paper provides a bibliometric and Scientometric analysis of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) in banking sector. Our study analyzes 551 articles from the Scopus database to find out the relationship between CSR and banking. A bibliometric method was used to visualize the results using R-studio and VOS viewer software. The Scientometric analysis was conducted to determine the findings and mappings of the research themes, directions of current and future research, impact, co-occurrence, co-citations and impact and collaboration trends. We explore how CSR literature has evolved over the years in the banking sector between 1993 and 2021. We find that publication in the CSR and banking domain has increased significantly during 2017 and 2021. Social aspects, board of directors, CSR, environment, competitions, Islamic banking, sustainability, disclosure, ethics, legitimacy theory, sustainable banking, loyalty, and brand equity are the popular research trends and collaboration trends identified. We also provide further scope of the study based on the extensive review of the past literature. Our findings may provide help to future researchers, bankers, and regulators in understanding the current trends and future research progression in the CSR and banking sector.  相似文献

Marketing decisions are particularly vulnerable to legal rulings made in both the courts and the legislatures. The effective management of those legal implications challenges the modern marketing professional. Grasping marketing’s overall legal environment, including its governing case law, regulatory statutes and future trends, is essential. This review will provide analysis of recent court cases and legislation with particular emphasis on creatively assisting the marketer’s management of the legal factor.  相似文献

The impact of technology on the quality-value-loyalty chain: A research agenda   总被引:30,自引:0,他引:30
In this article, the authors first propose a simple model summarizing the key drivers of customer loyalty. Then, on the basis of this model and drawing on key insights from the preceding articles in this issue, they outline a set of issues for further research related to the quality-value-loyalty chain. Next, the authors develop a conceptual framework that integrates the quality-value-loyalty chain with the “pyramid model,” which emphasizes the increasing importance of technology-customer, technology-employee, and technology-company linkages in serving customers. Using this integrated framework as a spring-board, they identify a number of avenues for additional inquiry pertaining to the three types of linkages. A. Parasuraman (D.B.A, Indiana University) is a professor and holder of the James W. McLamore Chair in Marketing at the University of Miami. He teaches and does research in services marketing, service-quality measurement, and the role of technology in marketing to and serving customers. He has received many distinguished teaching and research awards, including, most recently, the “Career Contributions to the Services Discipline Award” given by the American Marketing Association's (AMA) SERVSIG. He has written numerous articles in journals such as theJournal of Marketing, theJournal of Marketing Research, theJournal of Retailing, andSloan Management Review. He is the author of a marketing research text and coauthor of two books on service quality and services marketing. In addition to being the editor of theJournal of the Academy of Marketing Science (JAMS), he serves on the editorial review boards of five other journals. Dhruv Grewal (Ph.D., Virginia Tech) is Interim-Chair and a professor of marketing at the University of Miami. He has published more than 40 articles in journals such as theJournal of Marketing, theJournal of Consumer Research, theJournal of Marketing Research, theJournal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and theJournal of Retailing. His research interests focus on retailing, pricing, international marketing, and consumer behavior issues. He currently serves on the editorial review boards of theJournal of Marketing, theJournal of the Academy of Marketing Science, theJournal of Retailing, and theJournal of Public Policy & Marketing. He has won awards for both his teaching and research. He has coedited a special issue of theJournal of Public Policy & Marketing and of theJournal of Retailing. He was recently elected to the AMA Academic Council—VP Research and Conferences (1999–2001). He is currently writing a book onMarketing Research (publisher: Houghton Mifflin).  相似文献

We assess attenuating and augmenting effects of brand commitment on consumer responses when product recalls occur. Consistent with our theorization, results from a laboratory experiment and an event study show that high levels of brand commitment attenuate negative consumer responses in low-severity product recalls but augment them in high-severity product recalls. Thus, while brand commitment seems to provide a reservoir of goodwill in the former case, it acts as a liability in the latter. These findings add to the extant brand and product recall literature by demonstrating that brand commitment has a complex effect on consumer responses when product recalls occur. Because product recalls are widespread, these findings also have managerial relevance.  相似文献

Conceptually, it is argued that individual differences in need for cognitive closure, which stem from Kruglanski's theory of lay epistemics, provides a framework for studying various aspects of consumer judgment and decision making. However, methodologically, the need for cognitive closure scale has not demonstrated good measurement properties and has generated controversy. To improve the measurement quality of the scale for individual differences in the need for cognitive closure, the authors carry out a large‐scale data collection and measure validation exercise. To demonstrate the usefulness of this individual difference variable in a consumer context, the authors test hypotheses concerning consumer search behavior for cars and televisions. The results are encouraging and provide initial support for the utility of this framework in consumer judgment and decision making. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Prior studies provide mixed results pertaining to the effectiveness of temporal reframing of prices. This study examines the conditions in which such temporal reframing to a shorter period of time is more or less beneficial than aggregate prices. Investigations of the role of four moderating variables—price endings, price level, time periods, and calculation affinity—show that reframed prices are more beneficial than aggregate prices for high-priced products, especially in combination with even price endings, an aggregate price that normally refers to a comparatively short time period, or customers with poor calculation affinity. Aggregate prices offer more benefits than reframed prices for low-priced products, odd price endings, aggregate prices that refer to longer periods, and customers with excellent calculation affinities.  相似文献

Many factors, both obvious and subtle, influence customers’ store patronage intentions. Using videotape technology that enabled us to experimentally manipulate the number of visible store employees, number of customers, and music, we test the relative importance of wait expectations and store atmosphere evaluations on patronage intentions. These constructs are found to be critical antecedents of store patronage intentions in the context of the service-intensive retail store at which the model was tested. We also find support for the direct effects of gender on wait expectations and store atmosphere evaluations. We discuss some implications for retailing research and practice.  相似文献

Oysters represent an excellent source of major nutrients, especially proteins, vitamins and minerals. The consumption of oysters in Australia has not grown enough to match to their increased availability. This study is designed to provide information for the oyster industry to better attract more consumers to eat oysters. Six antecedent variables affecting the consumer choice of oysters: quality, safety, labelling, presentation, psychological aspects and preferred values for packaging and price, were identified by principal component factor analysis. A logistic regression approach predicts the consumer choice of oysters using these six factors and the demographic factors in the binary choice model. The outcome of the modelling predicts that the consumer choice of ‘dine in or out’ for oysters is significantly linked to age, gender, residence, labelling and preferred values, while the frequency of eating oysters annually is significantly influenced by the factors of age and preferred values. The oyster promotions such as nutritional marketing of oysters that have low cholesterol, cooking shows and special activities that target specific subsections of the consumer market are recommended in the study.  相似文献

To explore when the presence of compensation enhances repurchase intentions after a service failure, the authors use an experimental procedure and evaluate the impact of compensation in different stability and locus of responsibility conditions. Findings from three studies using scenarios from different service industries indicate that compensation is necessary only when the company is responsible for the failure and the failure occurs frequently. If the failure occurs infrequently or the company is not responsible, compensation does not affect repurchase intentions. The results further demonstrate that stability and locus of responsibility attributions influence the perceived equity of the exchange, which mediates the effectiveness of compensation as a recovery effort. The authors discuss the theoretical and managerial implications.  相似文献

The present study investigates consumer responses to price-matching guarantees (PMGs) in the Internet environment and contrasts them with their responses in a traditional bricks-and-mortar retail environment. The effect of store reputation on consumer responses to price-matching policies is also investigated in both Internet and bricks-and-mortar retail settings. Two studies using a 2 × 2 × 2 between-subjects full factorial experimental design with two levels of PMG presence (PMG present, PMG absent), two levels of retail environment (Internet, bricks-and-mortar), and two levels of store reputation (no/low reputation, high reputation) were conducted. In study 1 reputation was manipulated using store names, while in study 2 the reputation was manipulated using store characteristics. The findings of two studies suggest that consumer reactions to price-matching guarantees, such as store price perceptions, postpurchase search intentions, and willingness to claim a refund if a lower competitive price is found, differ across the two purchase environments.  相似文献
