Optimal proportional reinsurance to minimize the probability of drawdown under thinning-dependence structure

Abstract

In this paper, we consider the optimal proportional reinsurance problem in a risk model with the thinning-dependence structure, and the criterion is to minimize the probability that the value of the surplus process drops below some fixed proportion of its maximum value to date which is known as the probability of drawdown. The thinning dependence assumes that stochastic sources related to claim occurrence are classified into different groups, and that each group may cause a claim in each insurance class with a certain probability. By the technique of stochastic control theory and the corresponding Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman equation, the optimal reinsurance strategy and the corresponding minimum probability of drawdown are derived not only for the expected value principle but also for the variance premium principle. Finally, some numerical examples are presented to show the impact of model parameters on the optimal results.

Globalization and wage inequality: Evidence from urban China

This paper examines the impact of globalization on wage inequality using Chinese Urban Household Survey data from 1988 to 2008. Exploring two trade liberalization shocks, Deng Xiaoping's Southern Tour in 1992 and China's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2001, we analyze whether regions more exposed to globalization experienced larger changes in wage inequality than less-exposed regions. Contrary to the predictions of the Heckscher–Ohlin model, we find that the WTO accession was significantly associated with rising wage inequality. We further show that both trade liberalizations contributed to within-region inequality by raising the returns to education (the returns to high school after 1992 and the returns to college after 2001).     

应急物流预案综合效果预测研究

通过分析应急物流预案综合效果的影响因素,建立了应急物流预案的预测指标体系,应用模糊层次分析法确定各指标权重,采用模糊综合分析法对应急物流预案的综合效果进行预测。最后,通过实例研究证明,该方法能够快速有效地预测应急物流预案的优劣,并且操作简便易行,提高了预测的科学性、合理性和准确性。     

农村人身保险在京郊养老体系中的发展探析

随着我国人口老龄化情况的不断加剧，养老问题解决已经迫在眉睫，而我国六成以上的老年人口分布在农村，所以农民养老问题尤显艰巨。随着计划生育政策的推行、经济社会结构的转型，家庭养老、土地养老的传统养老模式已经根本无法满足农村老年人口养老的需求，迫切需要发展农村养老保险，建立农村养老保障体系。虽然北京农村地区经济基础较为发达，但仅依靠政府财政也难以建立起较为完善的农村养老保险体系，需要商业人身保险发挥重要的补充作用，扩大覆盖面，提供多层次养老保障。
