Valuation Bounds on Barrier Options Under Model Uncertainty

This article investigates valuation bounds on barrier options under model uncertainty. This investigation enriches the literature on the model‐free valuation of these exotic options. It is found that with weak assumptions on underlying price processes, tight valuation bounds on barrier options can be sought from a set of European options. As a result, the numerical routine developed in this article can be reviewed as a new method for the evaluation of barrier options, which is independent of model assumptions. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Petrel软件在新民油田西垒地区的应用

本文利用Petrel建模软件,对新民油田西垒区块进行精细的地质建模。分别建立了该区块的构造模型(断层模型和层面模型)和相控储层模型(三维相模型、相控砂体模型和相控属性模型),预测剩余油分布规律及勘探开发潜力,从而深入认识工区油藏特征,为油田开发提供强有力的技术支撑。     

Technology elasticity and potential on energy saving and emission reduction: evidence from China

This article investigates the elasticity of different technology choices to energy efficiency and chemical oxygen demand/ammonia nitrogen emission reducing efficiency among 38 industries in China from 2008 to 2011. With data envelopment analysis, total-factor productivity growth, the common measure of technical progress, is divided into different parts: technical efficiency relative to the frontier, technology change and scale efficiency, which are regarded as three different choices of technological progress. For various industries, technology elasticity is quite different and the importance of different technical choices is diverse in the improvement of efficiency on energy saving and emission reduction. Policymakers could focus on the elasticity of different technical progress choices in various industries to improve energy and emission reduction efficiency.     

基于Nutch的物流信息平台网页资源定向采集系统

针对物流信息平台中信息资源采集系统建设的不足,提出建立基于Nutch的网页资源定向采集系统,并对中文分词、主题相关度分析、结果排序、正文解析等关键模块进行重点探讨。最后在一定条件下进行了实验,并分析了实验结果。

政府向NGO购买服务对慈善事业发展的影响

NGO的存在,对以中华慈善总会为主体的官方救助体系形成有利的补充。NGO自身的特质也决定其在为弱势群体提供服务时更便捷、更专业。因此,在NGO行业中引入＂竞争＂的经济学概念,改变原先由政府全方位提供社会救助的模式,形成由政府主导、NGO参与、政府择优购买NGO提供服务这样的自由竞争市场,使得政府由原先＂制定者＂、＂实施者＂逐渐转变为＂主导者＂、＂购买者＂的角色,可以极大地调动NGO的积极性,激活市场动力,并且通过自发的市场调节,形成对有限行政资源配置的最佳效果,同时推动中国的慈善组织蓬勃发展,使社会救助事业取得跨越式进步。     

Litigation risk,accounting quality,and investment efficiency

This paper examines the moderating effect of litigation risk on the relationship between accounting quality and investment efficiency. We use directors’ and officers’ (D&O) liability insurance as a proxy for litigation risk, accruals quality for accounting quality, and investment cash flow sensitivity for investment efficiency (Biddle & Hilary, 2006; Hovakimian & Hovakimian, 2009). Using Canadian data from 1998 to 2008, we show that firms with higher D&O insurance coverage exhibit lower quality accruals. Moreover, the previously documented negative association between accruals quality and investment cash flow sensitivity is stronger (weaker) when abnormal D&O coverage is low (high), suggesting that the role of accounting quality in facilitating investment efficiency is conditional upon observable litigation risk.
