The role of the state in resolving business disputes in China

In this paper, we follow the theoretical framework proposed by Djankov et al. (2003) to investigate the role of the state in resolving business disputes and its impact on enterprise performance. Using a survey of private enterprises in China, we first construct an index to quantify the power of the state vis-à-vis the market in resolving business disputes, and then find that enterprises located in regions where the government has a greater relative power enjoy better performance. Our results suggest that the regulatory state has played a positive role in the economic transition in China.     

Religion,the Nature of Ultimate Owner,and Corporate Philanthropic Giving: Evidence from China

Using a sample of Chinese listed firms for the period of 2004–2010, this study examines the impact of religion on corporate philanthropic giving. Based on hand-collected data of religion and corporate philanthropic giving, we provide strong and robust evidence that religion is significantly positively associated with Chinese listed firms’ philanthropic giving. This finding is consistent with the view that religiosity has remarkable effects on individual thinking and behavior, and can serve as social norms to influence corporate philanthropy. Moreover, religion and corporate philanthropic giving have a significantly weaker (less pronounced) positive association for state-owned enterprises than for non-state-owned enterprises. The results are robust to a variety of sensitivity tests. Our results highlight religious influence on corporate philanthropic giving in contemporary China, an old traditional country with a typical communist economy.     

A tripartite evolutionary game research on information sharing of the subjects of agricultural product supply chain with a farmer cooperative as the core enterprise

In order to explore the interaction law of information sharing behavior of decision-making subjects in the agricultural product supply chain, this paper establishes a tripartite evolutionary game mathematical model, uses the replicator dynamics equation to analyze the dynamic evolution process of the three-dimensional dynamic system, and carries out numerical simulation analysis. The results show that there are seven key factors affecting the information sharing decisions of the decision-making subjects. This paper explores the specific role of these influencing factors and finds ways to improve supply chain performance. Finally, the study proposes four suggestions for supply chain information sharing management.     

高大平房仓小麦准低温储粮性能研究

通过对河南利用高大平房仓储存期限达3年和5年小麦的跟踪调查,从气温、仓温、粮温等非生物因子变化情况、储粮品质变化、机械通风应用等方面分析研究了高大平房仓长期储粮性能,为更好地利用高大平房仓进行安全科学储粮提供了必要的技术支持.     

农民工市民化难点与新型城镇化战略

刘易斯模型、托达罗模型等宏观经济学理论能够解释中国农民工向城市流动的动力问题,但无法揭示我国农民工市民化的障碍根源问题.城乡之间、区域之间的劳动生产率差距和收入差距,引导农村人口向城市流动,但同时也给农民工市民化造成障碍,国民经济中劳动收入占比的不断下降不利于农民工获取市民化的个人成本.因此在以市民化为核心的新型城镇化进程中,要把握城市群战略、产业转型战略、土地流转管理机制等关键规划的实施,促进和推动农民工顺利市民化.     

图书馆电子资源有效利用的途径——浅论武汉工业学院图书馆数据库宣传及读者培训工作

本文主要通过实际工作探索如何在宣传、培训以及服务三个方面做好工作,使读者不仅了解我馆购买的电子资源,并且能方便、高效地利用这些电子资源,充分发挥图书馆电子资源的作用。     

PPP模式在城乡居民医保一体化建设中的应用——以湛江为例

在基本公共服务均等化的大背景下,湛江市引入PPP模式,在城乡居民医保一体化建设中取得了显著成效。通过对湛江经验的分析,文章认为,确立政府的主导地位,在此基础上积极发挥市场的作用,构建多元主体的公私合作伙伴关系,实现经济效益和社会效益的统一,是适应市场经济发展要求,构建城乡一体化医疗保障制度的必然选择。
