地方政府利益、地方政府行为与经济增长

目前,对中国地方政府的经济行为的研究强调了在经济转型过程中地方政府在多样化的地方经济发展模式中的主导作用,注意到了地方政府目标的多重性,本地区社会福利最大化,政府利益最大化以及中央政府的满意程度等。对地方政府在公共产品的提供、就业、收入分配、实现社会公平等方面行为不到位方面的研究是从定性方法来论证。本文试图在定性分析基础上建立一些基本的数学模型为将来的计量研究提供一个模型框架。     

方柱和双方柱绕流的数值模拟

通过采用时间分裂步势函数有限元法,求解非定常二维不可压Navier-Stokes方程。对绕单个方柱和串列双方柱的绕流问题进行了数值模拟。给出了随时间变化柱体周围的流速分布,柱体的受力情况。本文计算结果与文献[1]的计算结果及[2]的部分实验结果趋势相符。     

Market efficiency in the Spanish derivatives markets: An empirical analysis

This paper analyzes Granger caUSAlity between daily prices of the Spanish stock index (Ibex 35) and its futures contract using Johansen cointegration methodology. The study differentiates between short-run and long-run caUSAlity. The empirical results prove that, in the short run, the futures price causes the spot price. However, the opposite is not true. On the other hand, long-run caUSAlity is embodied in the response of futures prices after deviations from the long-run equilibrium. These results say that during the period of study, the Spanish futures market behaved as an efficient market.     

FLOW RESISTANCE AND HEAT TRANSFER CHARACTERISTICS OF A NEW-TYPE PLATE HEAT EXCHANGER

A new-type corrugation Plate Heat Exchanger （PHE） was designed. Results from both numerical simulations and experiments showed that the flow resistance of the working fluid in this new corrugation PHE, compared with the traditional chevron-type one, was decreased by more than 50%, and corresponding heat transfer performance was decreased by about 25%. The flow field of the working fluid in the corrugation PHE was transformed and hence performance difference in both flow resistance and heat transfer was generated. Such a novel plate, consisting of longitudinal and transverse corrugations, can effectively avoid the problem of flow path blockage, which will help to extend the application of PHEs to the situation with unclean working fluids.

Water vending activities in developing countries

Millions of people in developing countries obtain water from commercial vendors who deliver it to their homes, yet this phenomenon has received little attention from professionals in the water resources field. This paper describes a water vending system which is in operation in Ukunda, Kenya, a town of about 5000 people south of Mombasa. In this community 45% for water consumed by households is obtained from water vendors who deliver water in carts directly to people's homes. The prices vendors charge for water are high, but vendors are not making exorbitant profits; hauling water manually is simply expensive. People in Ukunda spend about 9% of their income on vended water, which suggests that there are situations in which households are willing and able to pay substantial amounts of money for water even when traditional sources are readily available.     

箱体设备隔热降温措施研究

文章设计了一种可自然降低箱内温度的新型户外箱体结构,该箱体结构由内壁导热层、外壁隔热层以及由内壁和外壁形成的中间散热层组成。这种箱体结构可有效阻挡外界阳光和热空气的热量导入箱内,同时可将箱体内产生的热量通过内壁导热层由中间散热层及时排出箱体外。与普通金属箱体相比,箱内温度可降低10℃左右,因此,特别适合于在电力系统内的户外箱体上使用。     

Analysis of Social Performance in the Spanish Financial Industry Through Public Data. A Proposal

Banking firms are becoming increasingly aware that their clients’ management of environmental and social risks may in term threaten their own business as lenders and investors. In addition, stakeholders are requiring banks to improve their social performance. As a result, some banks are developing corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies and management systems to reduce potential risks and improve their performance. In the Spanish financial system, half of the banking firms are savings banks, most of which have always used some Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) criteria in their management. Private Banks have only recently started to integrate social aspects in their performance. However, no formal analysis has been carried out on the impact of CSR strategies. Various initiatives have been launched nationally and internationally to include the social dimension in management systems. The purpose of this research is to analyse the social performance of the main Spanish financial companies through public data such as social or sustainability reports and media sources. In order to do this, we need to determine which CSR criteria most greatly affect banking firms and to choose the most accurate quantitative and qualitative indicators to measure social performance.     

Isolating the geodemographic characterisation of retail format choice from the effects of spatial convenience

The authors analyze the relationship between the geodemographic profile of consumers and retail format choice while accounting for the effects of spatial convenience. The proposed analytic model assumes that format choice is an implicit portion of store choice, such that a geodemographic profile functions as a determinant of format choice, and spatial convenience is a determinant of store choice. The results show that some geodemographic dimensions capture preferences for certain store formats and thereby facilitate retailers’ selection of geographic markets. The results also indicate that obviating the effect of spatial convenience may lead to biased estimations.
