THE ANALYSIS OF THE SEPARATED LAYERS ALGORITHM BY DOMAIN DECOMPOSITION METHOD

From the principle of of the Domain Decomposition Method (DDM), we analyse the 2nd-order linear elliptic partial differential problems and link the Separated-Layers Algorithm (SLA) with DDM. The mathematical properties of SLA and numerical example are presented to obtain satisfactory computation results. For general linear differential ones, also are the structure of SLA and its characteristics discussed.     

THE APPLICATION OF COKELET''''S WAVE THEORY IN THE CALCULATION OF WAVE-CURRENT FIELD

By using Cokelet's wave theory,the limiting wave height and the relative waveangular frequency in wave-current field were calculated in this paper.It is indicated by numeri-cal calculation that if the water depth is not too small,the result given by authors'calculationare very close to the results of limiting wave height by Dalrymple(1975)and to the data of rel-ative wave angular frequency by linear wave theory;but if water depth is rather small,thereare some discrepancy,

拉格兰德二级电站严重汽蚀问题的解决

格拉兰德二级电站由多米宁工程公司供货的第一台机组,投入运行后3000小时就发现了严重的汽蚀问题。经几次对原型机组进行修正无效,为了尽快解决问题,进行了一系列模型试验。通过花费了几个月时间作的这些试验,得到了非常满意的简单易行的解决办法。     

RECENT PROGRESS IN CAVITATION RESEARCH IN THE INSTITUTE OF HIGH SPEED MECHANICS TOHOKU UNIVERSITY

Recent activities on cavitation research in the Institute of High SpeedMechanics,Tohoku University,Japan are reviewed.Firstly,our recent researchproject on cavitation occurrence in various liquids other than water is explainedin relation to the thermodynamic and gas content effects.Secondly,study oncavitation damage is introduced.In this field,the mechanism of a single bubblecollapse near solid wall and the related pit formation in soft test materials havebeen investigated.Also,the effects of fluid properties on the cavitation damageare clarified.Finally,a special study on shock wave propagating through gas-liquid two-phase magnetic fluid is explained to extend further developments ofcavitation research.
