How mobile technologies support business models: Case study-based empirical analysis

Mobile technologies have pushed the connectivity of IT systems to the limit, enabling people and things to connect to one another at all times. The amount of information companies have at their disposal has increased exponentially, thanks largely to geolocation and to the vast array of sensors that have been integrated into mobile devices. This information can be used to enhance business activities and processes, but it can also be used to create new business models. Focusing on business models, we analyze mobile technologies as enablers of activity changes. We consider the differentiating characteristics of mobile technologies and examine how these can support different business functions. A study based on fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) of 30 cases across different industries allows us to identify mobile technology success factors for different core activities. The results show that several combinations of mobile technology initiatives provide a competitive advantage when these initiatives match the business model.     

基于“3S”的宜城市土地整治生态适宜性评价

随着后备资源的减少,经济的快速发展,保护资源和保障发展的双重压力加大,土地整治工作迫切要求将生态理念贯穿始终.土地整治生态评价是区域开展整治工作的前提和基础.本文基于“3S”技术,建立宜城市土地整治生态评价数据库.在GIS数据库环境支持下完成评价因子空间叠置和综合计算.通过分析评价结果,了解其生态综合状况,对其存在的生态问题采取相应的措施,从而促进宜城市土地整治事业可持续发展.     

小型随车起重机性能检测液压试验台设计与测试

为了提高小型随车起重机出厂起重性能测试的方便性和高效性,依照随车起重机自身的车载吊臂工作性能,设计了一种基于PLC控制的液压试验平台检测设备。根据随车起重机在工作中需要完成的动作和性能参数要求,设计了平台的电-液控制系统,描述了液压试验平台结合多传感器实时采集数据与PLC进行RS485通信的过程,并对液压系统中电磁阀电信号进行调控,以此检测随车起重机的起重性能状况。结果表明：应用设计的液压试验台对2 t和3.5 t小型随车起重机进行起重性能测试,其结果符合厂家设定的起重机性能参数范围。研制的液压检测设备采用触摸屏进行人机交互,界面操作简单、系统运行平稳,既保证了性能检测的准确度,又可以有效缩短检测周期,提高了出厂性能检测的效率。     

基于PLC与计算机RS-232通信的扩展应用

文章介绍了一个科普展品的设计实施方案,给出了PLC电路及程序,并用VB程序实现了在计算机上对RS-232通信数据的发送和接收,以及实现多媒体的调用,观众可以和展项互动。(注:本展项为我单位在广东科学中心F展区人与健康展馆B09展项《食物之旅》的实施情况)。

Determinants of online shopping: Examination of an early-stage online market

A conceptual framework intended to predict the number of online purchases made by Internet users in an early stage market is presented and examined using data collected in Israel. Those more likely to report buying online saw low costs and substantial benefits associated with e-shopping. They were experienced Internet users who valued online information searching. They were also more likely to shop over the phone, but did not especially like to go shopping. Finally, they tended to be the primary purchaser in the household. Our framework enhances understanding of the factors affecting consumers' online shopping behaviour, aides in profiling typical electronic shoppers, and may help practitioners develop more personalized marketing programs to increase e-commerce sales. Mental illness at work: An assessment of co-worker reactions

Guided by Colella, Paetzold, and Belliveau (2004), we surveyed 305 employees on their reactions towards co-workers with mental illness. Co-workers were less likely to view longer/more frequent work breaks as appropriate accommodations for the mentally ill relative to flexible hours, banking of overtime hours, and counselling. Moreover, employees who believed that co-workers with mental illness were being equitably (or fairly) treated at work were more likely to report that they would self-disclose—and seek assistance for—a mental illness. Finally, employees with workplace contact with the mentally ill were more likely to support hiring people with mental illness. Copyright © 2009 ASAC. Published by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Conflicts within tourism in the Pacific area arise through the interaction of numerous forces, many of which are misunderstood or ignored. What goes on in the minds of visitors and hosts is as important as tourism's environmental manifestations. Some visitor behavior is motivated by insecurity. Host behavior often stems from hostility generated in the past. A tourist is a complex symbol, often maligned. Strategies used in tourism are the same as those associated with other development. A complex situation is further complicated by increasing neuroethnological information suggesting that levels of consciousness between outsiders and insiders may be as much physiological as cultural.

介绍了JTIDS战术数据链系统的基本结构和原理,分析了JTIDS战术数据链中的RS纠错编译码以及MSK调制解调技术,研究了RS码在高斯白噪声情况下的抗噪声性能,建立了系统的性能分析模型,并使用Matlab进行了仿真,仿真结果验证了分析结论.
