Does homeownership promote wealth accumulation?

It is well known that homeowners are richer than renters, even after controlling for observable household characteristics. This is often used as an argument for policies that foster homeownership. However, the causal link between homeownership and wealth is difficult to establish due to many potential sources of endogeneity. Utilizing the Household Finance and Consumption Survey for the Euro area, we correct for endogeneity by using inheriting the household’ s main residence as an instrument. The exclusion restriction is that conditional on the total amount of inheritance, inheriting a home affects the wealth position of the household only through homeownership. For the sample of inheritors we find that the local average treatment effect for households that inherit a home and stay homeowners is negative. Owning a home reduces riches due to sizable reductions in the net holdings of financial and other real wealth of the treated households.     

平潭非物质文化遗产校园传承需求调查——以福建信息职业技术学院文化创意与旅游学院为例

以福建信息职业技术学院文化创意与旅游学院为例，通过问卷调查法研究学生对平潭非物质文化遗产进校园的需求情况，探索形成可复制的平潭非物质文化遗产学校传承路径。结果显示：目前，平潭非物质文化遗产在学院有一定的传承，但效果还不够明显，大多数学生还没有深入接触平潭非物质文化遗产；相当一部分学生对平潭非物质文化遗产感兴趣；学院具备平潭非物质文化遗产传承的基础与条件。     

The role of brand strength,type, image and product-category fit in retail brand collaborations

Retailer brand collaborations are an underexploited way for retailers to expand product lines and target new segments relatively quickly and cheaply, yet little work has explored the area and the influence of important factors in the image inheritance process remains unknown. Using data from two experiments involving 240 subjects, we examine the role of brand type, brand strength and the fit between parent and brand collaboration product categories to show that a new retail product's image inherits more characteristics from a symbolic parent brand (even when the brand is weak) and when there are higher degrees of parent retailer-image fit. However, fit between the new retail collaboration's product category and that of the parent brands is only important for functional brands. The results help retailers decide which partner to choose to maximize image inheritance.     

Evolution and sub-optimal behaviour

The apparently sub-optimal behaviour of economic agents in games against nature can be seen as a natural outcome of evolutionary processes. This paper extends previous work on the evolutionary stability of sub-optimal adaptations by examining how stability is affected by the introduction of multiple traits and assortative mating. It is shown that increasing the number of traits tends to increase the scope for stable second best adaptations whilst assortative mating reduces it. Various economic applications are discussed.

对我国民族地区经济安全的文化思考

基于多元文化视角去探讨民族地区经济安全与少数民族文化的关系,提出了在民族地区经济发展过程中,必须弘扬少数民族文化和地方文化,突出当地少数民族的发展主体地位,增强少数民族地区经济的内生性,走少数民族文化可延承的发展道路,以此维护民族地区的经济安全。     

原生态“类体育”非物质文化遗产引入学校体育并活性传承研究

“类体育”非物质文化遗产是在漫长的历史中创造和积淀下来的民族传统体育文化,它与体育活动相关的身体运动内容是一种“活态人文遗产”,具有民俗性、群体性等特征。文章采用文献资料、网络信息检索、综合分析等研究方法,提出重视本民族、本地区原生态“类体育”非物质文化遗产的教育,并结合民族传统体育文化自身的特点,通过学校体育教育这一“活性传承方式”,对“类体育”非物质文化遗产进行原真化、多样性的体育教育传承的新思路研究,以此较好地完成既保护祖国非物质文化遗产,又完善学校体育教育的任务。     

北方游牧文明的传承与发展

社会变迁中的闽商文化传承与创新研究

在全球化和现代化的推动下,社会变迁不断加剧。闽商文化中敢拼、冒险、独立等传统精神在全球化背景下已经无法适应时代环境的要求,暴露其局限性。为此,从闽商文化自觉及闽商文化创新两方面提出实现在瞬息万变的社会变迁环境下的转型,以图新一轮的发展与突破。
