This paper is the result of a study aimed at answering the question: ‘What makes effective community development practitioners effective?’ In it, all the articles published over a 10-year period in the Community Development Journal, International Social Work, Journal of Community Practice and Social Work (South Africa) were subjected to a secondary analysis. This made it possible to identify eight ‘habits of effectiveness’. This set of habits can form a credo to guide a practitioner's service delivery. It also provides a list of criteria to help identify ineffective habits and confirm effective ones. 相似文献

会计发展与经济发展之间有着.必然的联系。会计发展只有与经济发展相协调,才能更好的为经济发展服务。本文对广西省2001~2006年数据进行分析后发现,会计从业人数及其职称构成的发展速度明显滞后于经济发展速度,注册会计师行业的发展速度也与经济发展速度不适应,会计本科教育和专科教育虽然得到了长足的发展,但研究生教育还比较落后。在此基础上,提出广西地方政府应当采取有力措施,努力提高广西的会计发展水平,以促进会计与经济的协调发展。 相似文献

Management accounting curricula: striking a balance between the views of educators and practitioners

Management accounting education has been subject of considerable debate since the 1970s, particularly in terms of what topics should be taught. The research reported here set out to ascertain the management accounting topics/techniques and the skills/characteristics that are considered important for a graduate who intends to pursue careers in management accounting. Based on a survey conducted on educators and practitioners, the results indicate that educators viewed behavioural implications, activity-based costing (ABC), performance evaluation and product costing as the top four important topics. In contrast, practitioners' top four important topics were cash flow management, operational budgeting, variance analysis and performance evaluation. Overall, traditional techniques, as compared to contemporary techniques, tend to be more widely used by firms. As regards skills and characteristics, practitioners and educators placed high importance on thinking, problem solving, listening and quantitative skills. 相似文献

利用来自于山东省等18省(市)的526份调查问卷,分析了超市猪肉从业人员关于质量安全的认知与行为状况。研究结果表明:受访者对食品安全重要性、目前猪肉质量安全状况以及自身条件对猪肉质量安全影响有良好的认知,但对猪肉质量安全知识的认知水平较低;受访者在个人健康危害和卫生保持方面有较好的行为,但猪肉质量安全知识学习积极性不高。为改善超市猪肉从业人员的质量安全认知与行为状况,应强化政府、猪肉供应链和超市间的合作,加强宣传、监管、培训、交流、考评和奖惩等方面的工作。 相似文献

This editorial offers some thoughts on wider criteria of evaluation than journal and article impact metrics. The editorial suggests that the measurement of journal and article impact metrics simply confirms the status quo rather than the promotion of resonance between practice, research and theory. The editorial proposes a more holistic recognition of impact, influence and usefulness that elevates the importance of three further dimensions of application, context and involvement. The editorial considers the value of scientific research to business practitioners and students concluding that an ingenuous and on-going scheme of exchange between scholars and practitioners would lead to cross-fertilization of ideas and experience and enhance empathy, learning and understanding. The alternative pursuit of scientific “respectability” by scholars in the most myopic academic sense has become less and less useful to students as well as the business community leaving the suspicion of business schools obsessed with making money whilst pretending to pursue knowledge and produce future citizens to make the world a better place. 相似文献

HR competency research has predominantly focused on identifying generic HR competencies for HR practitioners using a universalist approach. This approach has led to the distinction between strategic and functional HR competencies, and a belief that the former is superior to the latter for successful performance in the HR domain. However, little attention has been paid to the interrelationships between strategic and functional HR competency dimensions, and their perceived relevance to strategic and functional HR roles. Drawing on a situationalist perspective and using a mixed-method approach, seven HR competency concepts are identified and examined for their perceived relative importance to strategic and functional HR roles. The findings indicate that Business Awareness competencies are important differentiators between strategic and functional HR roles, whereas Leadership and Relationship Building and Self-Belief and Social Factors are generic to all HR practitioners. The findings also indicate that there is a wider range of HR attributes required for HR job success than those espoused in the HR literature. Theoretical implications and recommendations on selection and development programmes for HR practitioners are also discussed. 相似文献

ABSTRACTTour guides are a significant group of stakeholders in the tourism industry. They are responsible for the quality of communication during excursions and ultimately determine the level of satisfaction of tour participants. Therefore, they use a particular language and ways of influencing tourists. This paper investigates whether the particular language of guides contains persuasive means that are crucial for building an effective interpersonal communication. The authors focused on the question of how guides try to create positive relationships with guided groups. They conducted an examination on a group of Wroc?aw city guides during guided walking city tours. In order to complete the research project, qualitative non-participant observation and rhetorical analysis of audio-visual recordings of the guided tours were carried out. This study enabled the key areas of city guides’ communication influence to be specified, and it highlighted deficiencies in their use of some persuasive means. The results may serve as guidelines for improving the communication skills of tourism practitioners. 相似文献

A qualitative study was conducted to explore Chinese advertising practitioners’ perceptions and interpretations of big data in the Chinese market. Twenty-two in-depth interviews were conducted to collect the data. Four overarching themes emerged regarding the interviewees’ perception of the Chinese advertising market, the definition of big data, the application of big data and the future development of big data. Based on the themes, a theoretical framework was developed to demonstrate big data's application and development in the Chinese market. Theoretical and practical implications were offered. 相似文献
