单钢板-混凝土组合板承载性能分析

为研究单钢板-混凝土组合板在公路桥梁中的应用,提出一种新的钢板与混凝土板组合形式。通过对其进行仿真模拟结合静力试验,研究其裂缝发展模式和破坏形态,分析该模式组合板受弯承载性能。试验结果表明：试件破坏模式为弯剪混合破坏,在试验过程中,试件截面纵向应变沿组合板高度上基本符合平截面假定,在破坏前有明显的变形特征,且承载性能较好。可见该形式的组合板基本能满足使用需求,对实际工程组合板的选型有一定的参考意义。     

Early warning indicators? The effect of consumer and investor sentiments on the restaurant industry

This study looks at the influence of cyclical fluctuations of the consumer confidence index (CCI) and the volatility index (VIX) as early-warning indicators of the variations in restaurant performance. The industry has traditionally focused on past data and on microeconomic influences to anticipate its future performance, a procedure that does not consider possible cyclical fluctuations in restaurant performance metrics. These fluctuations are driven by sentiments of consumers and investors. The study uses the cyclical component of the applied data, followed by unit root and cointegration testing, with subsequent application of the Limited Information Maximum Likelihood technique. The results show both indicators have an effect on restaurant performance, where VIX has an impact on the current, expected, and overall restaurant performance, while the CCI’s influence is only partial (current performance). Policy-makers and planners could benefit from anticipating features of indicators to assess and steer the future performance of the restaurant industry.     

家族成员涉人管理团队与公司绩效——基于我国家族上市公司的实证研究

对于家族企业,实际控制人和家族成员的意志会影响到公司决策,本文考察了具有亲缘关系的家族成员涉入管理职位对公司价值产生的影响,通过对我国沪深两市家族上市公司数据的实证研究,得到以下结论：（1）家族企业实际控制人涉入管理职位与公司绩效正相关;（2）家族其他成员涉入管理职位与公司绩效正相关;（3）以家族涉入者数量及其亲缘关系为测量变量的家族涉入水平指标与公司绩效负相关;（4）家族企业实际控制人拥有的公司控制权与现金流权偏离系数与公司绩效负相关。     

Cross-cultural comparison of the image of Guam perceived by Korean and Japanese leisure travelers: Importance–performance analysis

As international tourism becomes a global phenomenon and its volume increases rapidly, understanding cultural differences and similarities provides destination marketers in a host country with a strategic platform upon which any planning and marketing efforts should be grounded. Based on the theory of cultural value orientation, the current study focuses on a cross-cultural comparison between the two markets most important to Guam tourism: Japanese and Korean leisure travelers. Using Importance–performance analysis, the evaluative image of Guam perceived by Korean travelers is compared with that perceived by Japanese travelers to uncover any differences between these two nationality groups. The results clearly indicate a contrast between the two groups in terms of destination evaluations and behavioral patterns.     

Do socially responsible activities help hotels and casinos achieve their financial goals?

While the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR) has gained much attention and is currently practiced by many companies, it has yet to be empirically examined in the context of hotels and casinos, especially in regard to the potential effects of CSR on firm value and performance. As the findings on the relationship between CSR and financial performance have been inconclusive and this relationship has been found to differ among industries, this study examines the relationship between CSR and firm value and profitability for hotels and casinos. Results of the Durbin–Wu–Hausman (DWH) test and a subsequent two-stage least square (2SLS) method show that hotel companies’ CSR has a simultaneous and positive relationship with financial performance. For casino companies, however, results show that CSR has no simultaneous or particular effect on financial performance. Findings suggest that hotel companies can confidently and strategically increase CSR investment to enhance both short-term (profitability) and long-term performance (firm value). Casino companies need to carefully examine the effects of CSR on financial performance, when making CSR-related decisions.     

Market forces and competition in university systems: theoretical reflections and empirical evidence from Italy

This paper deals with the reforming processes in higher education (HE) from centralised systems towards more competitive ones. In particular, I discuss these issues referring to the Italian case, and the market‐like mechanisms introduced in it during 1990s and early 2000s. The focus of the paper is in analysing the effects of the increasing competition on teaching performance of universities. For this purpose, I develop a theoretical model, moving from the framework of yardstick competition (YC), to describe the functioning of a competition model based on comparing performance of institutions. Then, I apply this model using data from the Italian university system. The results suggest that an increasingly competitive environment effectively improves the universities’ performance, which is also influenced by other factors, namely the characteristics of the institutions themselves and of their students, and by the resources available. As the exploratory nature of the study, these findings must be validated through future research.     

The impacts of student and life satisfaction on tourism students’ perceived sense of belonging

This study explores how tourism students’ satisfaction with their lives and academics affect their sense of belonging within their school communities. The primary supporting research was conducted using a questionnaire, which 285 students in Akdeniz University’s Faculty of Tourism answered. The mean scores of the two scales (life satisfaction and sense of belonging) and the dimensions of student satisfaction were used to conduct multiple regression analysis. The results suggest that two aspects of student life (teaching staff and school management vs. student support and counseling) and life satisfaction had a direct correlation with students’ sense of belonging.     

基于价值链的作业成本法分析

本文针对传统成本管理方法存在的局限性,将价值链的思想引入作业成本法,用价值链分析帮助找出各作业与产品成本的联系;阐述了价值链在作业成本法中的具体分析步骤,为成本管理提供更准确的依据;从而有利于提高企业的成本优势,形成企业核心竞争力。     

影响农产品加工类上市公司股价的因素分析——基于公司财务绩效的视角

以近五个季度沪深A股市场20家农产品加工类上市公司为分析样本,从公司披露的会计信息的角度出发,运用多元线性回归的研究方法分析了财务绩效对公司股价的影响。结果表明,农产品加工类上市公司的股价波动取决于公司的盈利能力和发展能力,其中影响最为显著的是每股净资产,并且公司的发展能力在对股价的影响中呈现越来越显著的趋势。     

我国融资性担保机构绩效评价实证研究——以江苏省为例

融资性担保机构的经营绩效在不同地区往往存在一定的差异,需要政府出台有差别的政策来促进其发展。从江苏省苏南、苏中和苏北分别选取了6家融资性担保机构,运用因子分析法对它们的经营绩效进行评价。针对三个地区担保机构经营绩效表现的不同,提出提升江苏省不同地区担保机构经营绩效的制度创新路径,对我国其他地区也有较大的借鉴意义。
