组织合作关系强度的柔性调节:客户关系动态管理的艺术

关系合作需要保持一个适当的度。过弱不利于企业的合作与发展,过强却限制了组织的发展。本文提出基于组织正式程序调节的关系强度管理模式。其核心思想就是根据企业战略发展需要,利用组织正式程序调节因非正式程序影响而造成的关系强度过强或者过弱现象,构建动态关系强度管理机制,保持企业良好的关系发展态势。

产业集群中中小企业外部融资效率研究:制度理论的视角

中小企业的融资问题一直是企业界和学术界关注的热点问题。基于制度理论,本文将网络关系合法性作为中介变量,构建了产业集群中企业间网络关系对企业外部融资效率影响的理论模型,并且探索了不同程度的政策制度支持如何影响网络合法性与外部融资效率的关系。根据对长三角地区211家企业的实证研究和深入访谈,研究结果表明企业管理高层的社交关系和供应链上下游企业长期导向的交易关系均有利于促进企业的网络关系合法性,进而提升企业的外部融资效率,合法性在此过程中扮演着部分中介的角色;进一步的,地方政府制度支持正向调节网络合法性与企业外部融资绩效的关系,说明地方政府制度支持越多,网络合法性对于企业外部融资效率的提升作用越强。     

The strength of R&D network ties in high-tech sectors – a multi-dimensional analysis of the effects of tie strength on innovation performance

We study the effect of the tie strength of inter-firm R&;D partnerships on the innovation performance of companies in four high-tech sectors (pharmaceuticals, computers, semi-conductors and telecom). Returning to Granovetter's (1973 Granovetter, M. S. 1973. The strength of weak ties. American Journal of Sociology, 78: 1360–80. [Crossref], [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar]) seminal contribution, tie strength is analysed through a broad multi-dimensional perspective. We find that inter-firm R&;D network ties that are stronger in terms of their extent (measured by the length and multitude of R&;D partnerships) and weaker in terms of their depth (the degree of cooperation and the similarity of ties of companies) improve the innovation performance of companies. Interestingly, we find strong support for the role of these R&;D ties in the context of the run-of-the-mill innovation performance of companies. However, there is no support for this effect on significant innovations of companies.     

Distribution of responsibility in socio-technical networks: the Promest case

The aim of the present paper is to show how (informal) responsibility issues within the context of a network are essentially related with the way networks are organised in order to pursue their objectives. We conceive of organisations as having at least three relevant dimensions: power, coordination and control. The case of the Dutch manure processing factory Promest is analysed in terms of these three dimensions. The analysis provides an illustration of how the dimensions enable actors to discharge their responsibilities, thereby offering insight in responsibility issues within a group of actors and contributing to the prevention of the problem of many hands.     

Monetary incentives and social ties in academic publications

Monetary incentives underlie academic publications, especially in countries where many researchers' incomes are performance-based. Evidence has documented that social ties improve the chances of publication in journals, whereas building and maintaining social ties require resources. We develop a simple model to investigate the consequences of monetary investment on the probability of publication through social ties. The results indicate that monetary incentive can stimulate researchers to make more efforts regarding publication. Through social ties, monetary investment in the process of academic publication distorts researchers' incentive. Monetary investment through social ties improves the probability of publication and then disables the signaling function of publication in terms of researchers’ abilities. Depending on the contribution of different types of researchers to society and the ability of the latter to differentiate the quality of publication in journals, the improvement in publication probability by monetary investment through social ties may improve or reduce the level of social welfare.
