Single‐Party Rule,Public Spending,and Political Rents: Evidence from Finnish Municipalities*

In this paper, I investigate the differences in public spending and extraction of political rents between single‐party and coalition governments. Common pool theories predict that coalitions tend to spend more and extract more rents than single‐party governments. Using data from Finnish municipalities for the years 1997–2012 and a regression discontinuity design approach tailored for proportional elections, I provide causal evidence consistent with the theoretical predictions.

近几年来,我国工业建筑设计在工艺生产和后期使用等方面都发生了翻天覆地的变化。文章结合工程案例,分析了我国现代工业建筑设计的事宜。     

培养基灭菌温度与时间的选择

用湿热灭菌方法对培养基灭菌时,加热的温度和时间对微生物死亡和营养成分的破坏均有作用。由于培养基营养成分的破坏和菌体死亡都属于一级动力学反应,其反应速度常数与温度的关系皆可用阿累尼乌斯方程式表示;由此公式导出,当灭菌温度上升时,微生物杀死速率的提高要超过培养基成分的破坏速率的增加。所以采用高温快速灭菌方法,即可达到杀死培养基中的全部有生命的有机体,又可减少营养成分的破坏。     

论标志设计中的群化构成形式

基本形群化的构成方法,与标志设计息息相关,存在很大的相通性、相似性。在很多成功的设计实例中我们都可以看到基本形群化的身影,它给了我们更大的发挥空间。本文主要介绍了基本形的概念、群化的应用特点、应用形式,并通过设计实例分析,进一步理解对群化构成在标志中的映射。     

An Integrated System Supporting Virtual Consortia in the Construction Sector

Work in today's economic organizations is either performed through the execution of continuous operations or through the implementation of one-off projects; hence one can distinguish between "operation-centric" and "project-centric" business environments. New information and communication technologies facilitate the introduction of innovative organizational structures in both environments. Based on the term "virtual organization," which is used for describing the new organizational structures in operation-centric environments, we introduce the term "virtual consortium" for project-centric environments and provide an analysis of the business processes of a virtual consortium. We concentrate on the construction sector, as one of the most suitable application domains to test the new concept and related systems. Focusing on one of the most critical processes of a virtual consortium, the bidding/tendering process, we review the existing information systems available on the Internet, which support this process for construction projects. Our results show that although there are a substantial number of systems that support searching for call for tenders, few of them provide support for other vital elements of the bidding/tendering process, such as robust collaboration facilities for the virtual consortium formation and for the management of the bid. We then present the SupplyPoint system, which has been developed in order to electronically support and automate the whole tendering/bidding process of virtual consortia. SupplyPoint provides-in addition to what existing systems already do-a collaboration platform that facilitates, in a virtual manner, the formation of consortia.     

The initial private placement of equity and changes in operating performance in Taiwan

We propose the corporate governance hypothesis which suggests that the outside blockholders arising from the private placement of equity are more likely to have a significantly positive effect on firms with poor corporate governance. Using a sample of Taiwan‐listed firms with initial private placements of equity, our study’s results indicate that an improvement in operating performance is more likely to be seen after a private placement for those firms that are without independent directors, are controlled by a family, have lower insider shareholdings or are characterized by a pyramidal ownership structure. These findings are consistent with our hypothesis.

通过梳理我国金融创新历程和现状发现,当前银行业基于各种目的开展的诸多金融创新看似符合自身理性,但总体形成合成谬误,本文以信托为例进行深入分析,并构建软预算约束动态博弈模型探索金融创新的驱动机理,对金融业完善金融创新路径和监管部门改进监管方式方法提出建议。

通过对峰峰集团小屯矿综采轻放面采空区气体成分变化和温度变化规律的测定,并结合采空区煤炭自燃理论,确定综采轻放面采空区煤炭自燃"三带"的范围,为合理选择采空区煤炭自燃的预防和治理措施提供了科学依据。
