Introducing a Learning Portfolio in an Undergraduate Financial Accounting Course

This paper evaluates changes made to the internal assessment component of a third year financial accounting course at a university in New Zealand. A learning portfolio was designed to supplement existing coursework. The aim was to engender in students a deep rather than a surface approach to learning. As a record of the students' learning, the learning portfolio was an attempt to produce an innovative development in the assessment of what was a traditionally taught financial accounting course. Within their learning portfolios, students were required to complete a number of tasks, each aimed at improving critical thinking skills and creativity. Students were also required to maintain a personal or reflective section aimed at personalising and deepening the quality of their learning.

文章通过软件计算分析气流在绕过建筑物时流场的变化以及在建筑物附近粒子的运动轨迹,得出随着与建筑物距离减小时,气流速度场的变化规律,以及在建筑物表面,气流速度场的分布情况。从而为流体流动的相关研究提供理论依据,并可作为建筑设计的理论参考。     

基于Solid works平面与平面立体交线求解辨析

本文结合《画法几何》教学中"平面与平面立体交线"的基本问题,利用Solid works"工程图"工具,综合运用"图解法、图示法",先根据题设进行三维实体适型,再由此生成三视图,帮助学生分析相互关系,提高学生认识基础和思辨能力。     

具有实时语音播报的超声波测距测速仪设计

超声波凭借自身指向性强、能量消耗缓慢,以及在介质中传播距离远等优势,进而广泛应用于距离测量。与其它检测方式相比,超声波作为一种非接触式的检测方式,在检测过程中不受光线、被测对象颜色等因素的影响和制约。本文介绍了超声波测距测速的原理和方法。以STC89C52RC单片机作为主控制器,用定时器实现超声波驱动信号的发射,用动态扫描法实现测量结果的12864液晶显示和ISD4004语音播报。     

一种面向多资源约束的关键链识别方法

针对资源受限项目调度问题,提出了一种面向多资源约束的关键链识别算法。该算法首先基于优先规则的资源受限并行调度算法生成调度结果,接着依据此结果将活动的资源约束转换为活动的时序约束,形成新的时序约束活动依赖矩阵,然后以此为基础结合传统向后调度算法计算在此时序约束下活动的总时差,最后根据总时差值来确定关键活动,并组成关键链。

应对气候变化 构建全球企业公民身份──跨国车企可持续发展报告比较研究及启示

本文利用评论式话语分析方法对欧、美、日3家跨国车企的可持续发展报告进行比较研究。研究发现在气候变化问题上对全球企业公民身份进行构建的一些同型主题,研究认为跨国车企在这些同型主题上的表述差异体现了不同国家文化及制度背景对全球企业公民身份概念构建的影响,同时也体现了企业根据自身战略定位争取行为合法化的努力。     

Alternative futures and foreign direct investment in China

Chinese history is littered with sharp policy swings, and the communist era, which has not yet fully drawn to a close, has witnessed a veritable embarrassment of riches. This has provided a fertile ground for researchers engaged in crystal ball gazing. Recently, momentum has accelerated on that front, a development apparently reflecting the increasingly fluid political‐economic conditions in the country. The scenarios generated can serve as an effective reference point in planning exercises, but there is scope for solidifying the conceptual architecture. The issue of rendering them highly relevant to foreign investors, presumably very important potential consumers of the product, should also be addressed.     

A critical discourse analysis of racial violence in South Carolina,U.S.A.: implications for traveling while Black

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to present a rich, detailed case that illustrates the way in which the discourse of racial violence has been constructed in the United States (U.S.), and how that has impacted Black travel. Using South Carolina, a state centrally-located along the East coast with historic, political, and social ties to the U.S. South as the context for this analysis, this paper employs a critical discourse analysis to examine the intersection of racial violence and tourism, situating cases of violence – historic to the modern. This study makes a case for more focused attention on the intersection of tourism and violence within the literature, as well as a call to the tourism industry to be proactive to discourses of violence, demonstrate a desire for diversity in their visitors, consider the critical issues of racial representation in their tourism products, and be aware of the emerging organizations supporting and facilitating Black travel.
