We study whether corporate governance and social responsibility are related to data breaches. We find that socially responsible companies with smaller boards and greater financial expertise are less likely to be breached. The financial impact of a breach is visible in the long term. Specifically, data‐breach firms have –3.5% one‐year buy‐and‐hold abnormal returns. Additionally, banks with breaches have significant declines in deposits and nonbanks have significant declines in sales in the long run. Finally, we find that following a data breach, companies are more likely to replace their chief executive officer and chief technology officer as well as improve their governance and social responsibility. 相似文献

This research uses a big dataset of online prices published on Booking.com by three-, four- and five-star hotels located in Madrid (Spain). Data is broadened by other sources, resulting in a rich set of context-, hotel- and offer-based variables. This research aims to determine the impact of these variables on the online room prices set by one representative sample, featuring the total pricing behaviour as well as per hotel categories. The variables considered, their extent and the insight per category represent a novelty and complement the literature on demand forecasting and hedonic pricing, enabling the improvement of optimisation techniques. The models, based on regression analysis with random effects, reveal a significant impact of the variables on room prices and a clearly distinct behaviour for five-star hotels. Online tourism has received increasing attention from scholars and practitioners due to its growing contribution to the economy. While related issues have been studied, research on forecasting customer purchases and the influence of forecasting variables, online tourism is still in its infancy. Therefore, this paper aims to develop a data-driven method to achieve two objectives: (1) provide an accurate purchase forecasting model for online tourism and (2) analyze the influence of behavior variables as predictors of online tourism purchases. Based on the real-world multiplex behavior data, the proposed method can predict online tourism purchases accurately by machine learning algorithms. As for the practical implications, the influence of behavior variables is ranked according to the predictive marginal value, and how these important variables affect the final purchase is discussed with the help of partial dependence plots. Travel mobility has attracted considerable attention from tourism scholars. Studies have extensively discussed discovering key (i.e., collective) movement patterns. Recently, the advancement of information technology has allowed tourism researchers to obtain detailed information regarding travel digital footprints. This study, which analyzes mobile sensor big data, proposes a data mining approach to measure the similarity of travel trajectories by performing a pair comparison of individual trajectory. This method considers the spatial and temporal dimensions of travel flow to help identify trajectory similarity across individual travelers. Considering graph theory, this research also applies graph-based spatiotemporal analytics to identify important insights from complex travel mobility networks. As a result, this study suggests an innovative approach to assess travel trajectory similarity, which can be regarded as a type of data-driven clustering method. The main purpose of this study is based on qualitative and quantitative research procedures, and integrates the key service factors for the online food delivery (OFD) industry extracted by Internet Big Data Analytics (IBDA) to construct a OFD service quality scale (OFD-SERV). This study takes OFD customers in Taipei City as the objects. The results show that 20 key service factors for the OFD industry are extracted through IBDA. The OFD-SERV scale contains six dimensions including reliability, maintenance of meal quality and hygiene, assurance, security, system operation and traceability, a total of 28 items. The results from the structural equation modeling showed that the reliability, assurance and system operation have a positive impact on customer satisfaction. Finally, the findings provide knowledge and inspiration for the current OFD, and enable OFD operators and future researchers to more accurately identify the deficiency of service quality. 相似文献

旅游的产业属性决定了旅游地理研究的实践性,在服务国家战略和产业实践需求的过程中,中国旅游地理学科呈现出研究领域、方法和应用的新特征。本文围绕旅游规划、旅游资源、旅游大数据和旅游实验方法等进行总结与展望,认为:(1)旅游规划是透视旅游地理研究发展的重要视角,旅游规划的知识域主要包括旅游开发战略与对策、旅游业与旅游企业、乡村旅游与乡村振兴等12个方面;(2)新时代文化和旅游资源普查面临文旅资源保护和整合利用的重大现实需求,为旅游地理研究带来了文旅资源的内涵与分类评价、普查信息集成与应用、普查技术与组织方式等新命题;(3)大数据背景下要求旅游地理探寻新科学问题,重点要关注大数据旅游统计测量模型和指标规则的规范,数据伦理与信息茧房,大数据旅游现象的地理效应和相关空间格局等研究;(4)实验研究方法在认识论层面从描述走向解释预测,在方法论层面从调查走向直接测量,为认识和理解旅游情境下人地关系的核心科学问题提供了“科学化”的研究路径。因此,面对新时代战略要求和旅游业发展趋势,旅游地理学应加强产业实践、研究方法和学科交叉研究,提升学科服务国家战略和社会经济发展的支撑能力。 相似文献

为探索更优的数字化交付技术架构及实施路线,提高数字化交付在煤化工项目中的应用水准,以某公司数字化交付项目为研究对象,详细梳理了三维建模、管道仪表流程图绘制、结构化文档及非结构化数据收集等方面在航天炉气化岛数字化交付项目中的实施情况,对实施方案及重点内容进行讨论,对比分析了各平台之间的优劣。结合数字化交付领域的现状,对当前煤化工产业数字化交付项目中存在的问题进行了探讨,从政策、业主、工程公司及软件平台商等方面给出了解决方法和优化建议。结果表明:1)采用PDMS,SP P&ID及其他专业技术软件支持下的AVEVA NET数字化交付平台体系架构合理,并且能够顺利完成交付实施;2)合理的实施步骤、更高的重视程度、明确的政策规范以及有效的信息传递方式可以明显改善数字化交付项目的优化效果,目前应着重提升工程公司的三维建模能力及软件商的技术水平。探讨结果不仅可以为其他企业的数字化交付工作提供借鉴,还可为实现智能工厂提供了建设思路和数据支持。 相似文献

商业银行是我国企业技术创新过程中获取外部资金的重要渠道。利用我国各省市2000~2009年的时间序列数据,通过面板数据模型检验了银行发展对企业技术创新的作用效果,结果表明:银行发展对企业技术创新具有显著的促进作用,但其作用效果受到市场化程度等非金融因素的限制。加快金融体制的市场化改革将会更好地发挥商业银行对企业技术创新的促进作用。 相似文献
