Tourism and regional development a genetic approach

Research on tourism and regional development should include a temporal perspective, for studies of contemporary and economic impact are, by themselves, insufficient to explain tourism's contribution to regional development. Such a genetic approach is used to examine the growth and impact of tourism in Queenstown, New Zealand. Events and interrelationships are examined over the last twenty-five years to show the process of growth, changes in the patterns of local and outside involvement and the increasing sophistication of a resort once based largely on scenic factors alone. Certain sectors of the industry have been developed primarily by individuals and companies from the local region, while others have been dominated by outsiders. Although the former contribute the most to regional development through local participation in the development process, external developments have also generated complementary growth. A consideration of events over a certain time span allows these different factors to be placed more clearly in the context of regional development.     

Restaurant's decision to purchase local foods: Influence of value chain activities

In this paper we investigate how restaurant managements’ attitudes and behaviors influence decisions to purchase local foods as inputs to their products. An enhanced investigation of chefs’ and managers’ decision-making criteria could improve understanding of local food systems linkages with the restaurant industry. We apply a value chain framework to investigate activities that influence restaurants’ decision to purchase local foods. Results indicate that attitudes and behaviors associated with sourcing and product characteristics play an important role in local food purchase decisions in the restaurant value chain. Order processing time and uniqueness of products are the most significant reasons in restaurant managements’ decisions to purchase local foods. The implications of these findings for restaurants and producers are discussed. Our study contributes to the literature by expanding upon the criteria used by restaurants to make local food purchasing decisions.     

中国旅行社业发展现状与发展对策研究

在对中国旅行社20年来产业化、市场化、企业化和法制化进程做了系统梳理和综述的基础上，课题组重点研究了我国旅行社的产业现状和即将来临的机遇与挑战。最后，分别从产业政策、分工体系、企业制度、行业管理、经营策略、借鉴国外经验等6个方面对面向21世纪的中国旅行社业提出了具体的发展对策。     

中国休闲度假旅游的必由之路:从"黄金周"到带薪休假

“黄金周”长假期促进了假日经济的发展，开启了中国城镇居民休闲度假旅游的新时期，但“黄金周”“赶集式”的旅游也有不少负面影响。本文在分析“黄金周”旅游利弊的基础上，从自主式“个性化旅游方式的发展趋势、旅游的可持续发展、加快休闲制度与国际接轨等方面，论述了全面实行带薪休假制的必要性与可行性。     

关于旅游管理本科实践教学改革的几点思考

本文重新界定了实践教学的概念,在此基础上指出应科学设计并不断优化实践教学体系,提出系统的实践教学设计应包括课内实践、课外实践、校内实践、校外实践、业内实践与业外实践等多个相互关联的环节,确保实践教学子系统有机整合于教学系统中,同时指出,规范科学、因实践性质而异的全程管理是实践教学达到预期目标的有力保障。     

Holiday taking decisions – The role of spouses

Grounded in part the previous literature on household decision making and in part in the literature on tourism decision making, this paper tries to add to the literature by surveying Turkish academics with respect to spousal purchase decisions. In particular, the study assesses the decision tactics used for several consumer goods including vacation and travel and the link between decision tactics and consumer satisfaction/likelihood to produce positive word of mouth. The study findings confirm that spousal opinions matter and that compromise is a commonly used tactic, regardless of their features of durability (e.g. car, furniture) or non-durability (e.g. vacation, eating out), followed by the introduction of persuasion as the next most powerful tactic. Compromise is also positively associated with the level of consumer/tourist satisfaction with the product and the intention to recommend.     

The politics,satisfaction, loyalty,and success of Ph.D. students in hospitality and tourism

The purpose of this study was to explore the roles of organizational politics in educational institutions with regard to graduate students’ satisfaction with supervision and loyalty toward advisors, and thereby success of students in the Ph.D. program, within the hospitality and tourism discipline. The findings demonstrate that satisfaction and loyalty play important roles in doctoral students’ experiences in graduate education. Several implications for students and faculty are discussed.     

“60前”消费者玩转高科技产品基于反向代际影响调节作用的实证研究

针对1960年以前出生的50岁以上、居住在城市的消费者,研究了不同年龄、教育背景和月收入水平的年长消费者在高科技产品购买意愿方面的差异性,以及决策风格对于高科技产品购买意愿的影响。此外,本文还探讨了年轻一代对于年长消费者的影响,即反向代际影响对于研究人群的决策风格与高科技产品购买意愿之间关系的调节作用。本文通过研究发现不同年龄、教育背景和月收入水平的年长消费者在面对高科技产品时的购买意愿不同。同时,消费者的购物决策风格也会影响到消费者对于高科技产品的购买意愿。此外,反向代际影响对于决策风格和购买意愿之间的关系具有正向调节作用。最后,本文还根据研究结果给出了相应的管理建议。     

高酸值原油脱酸装置腐蚀防护措施及改进建议

本文根据高酸值原油腐蚀机理,分析了加工高酸值原油对常减压(高酸值原油脱酸装置)装置的腐蚀特点和重点腐蚀部位,并在此基础上提出了具体的防护措施:电脱盐、塔顶三注、高温缓蚀剂、腐蚀监测等,并重点介绍了本公司50万吨/年常减压装置的具体防腐措施,实践证明这些措施取得了较好的防腐效果,最后根据实践提出了可行的改进建议。
