Private Information in Life Insurance,Annuity, and Health Insurance Markets

Economic theory predicts that private information on risks in insurance markets leads to adverse selection. To counterbalance private information, insurers collect and use information on applicants to assess their risk and to calculate premiums in an underwriting process. Using data from the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA), this paper documents that differences in the information used in underwriting across life insurance, annuity, and health insurance markets attenuate private information to different extents. The results are in line with – and might help to reconcile – the mixed empirical evidence on adverse selection across these markets.

在中国传统民间信仰之中,关公崇拜是俗文化兴起的产物,是社会道德情感社会潜意识孕育产生的一个道德模范,经典的三国演义为关公崇拜提供了有力的文本支撑,历代统治者的推波助澜也为这种崇拜发展起了重要作用。同时,关公崇拜背后有着深厚的道德内涵和社会价值,它所推崇的"义"是一种超越传统血亲关系的品德。这种品德即使在今天的商业社会也有着其存在发展的土壤,这也是关公崇拜得以延续至今的重要原因。     

Intraday return and volatility spillover mechanism from Chinese to Japanese stock market

We analyze the mechanism of return and volatility spillover effects from the Chinese to the Japanese stock market. We construct a stock price index comprised of those companies that have substantial operations in China. This China-related index responds to changes in the Shanghai Composite Index more strongly than does the TOPIX (the market index of the Tokyo Stock Exchange). This result suggests that China has a large impact on Japanese stocks via China-related firms in Japan. Furthermore, we find evidence that this response has become stronger as the Chinese economy has gained importance in recent years.     

Environmental taxes,reforms and economic growth: an empirical analysis of panel data

This paper explores the relationship between environmentally related taxes and the economic growth rate. The analysis also investigates whether this relationship differs between countries that have implemented environmental tax reforms (ETRs) and those that have not. Using panel data from 31 OECD countries over the period 1994–2013, the paper finds that when we allow environmentally related tax revenues to interact with an initial level of real GDP per capita, the overall revenues of these taxes are negatively associated with the economic growth rate in the short and long term. Furthermore, we show that the higher the initial level of GDP per capita, the more environmentally related tax revenues can promote the economic growth rate. The analysis also reveals that the relationship between environmentally related tax revenues and economic growth varies between countries that have a mechanism to redistribute environmentally related tax revenues and those that do not.     

涉农供应链时间竞争的基本障碍分析

在传统的农业技术条件和涉农供应链管理模式下,典型的涉农链在时间竞争的强化与柔性机制的建立上面临诸多局限和障碍：（1）横亘于涉农供应链两类制造业之间的“速度陷区”.（2）“刚性点阵”.（3）“弱刹车机制”.（4）异构性问题.（5）时间竞争工具的有限性.（6）涉农供应链特殊的物流路径特征模式.上述诸因素综合作用形成了现实中两种常见的涉农链时间反应模式：弱反应模式和高成本反应模式.而现代供应链管理理念指导下涉农供应链时间竞争追求的却是-种有效反应模式.建立涉农供应链时间竞争的有效反应模式是一个复杂艰巨的过程.     

董事高管责任保险与上市公司关联交易——基于我国上市公司经验数据的检验

董事高管责任保险(D&O保险)是一个市场化的外部治理机制。基于沪深证券交易所2003—2017年上市公司数据,本文实证检验了D&O保险对上市公司关联交易的影响。研究发现,D&O保险显著提升了关联交易总水平、关联销售金额和关联购买金额;根据控股产权性质分组研究发现,D&O保险对非国有控股公司关联交易的正向影响,比对国有控股公司更加显著;D&O保险、关联交易均与公司价值显著正相关,且关联交易发挥中介效应。研究表明,D&O保险通过监督效应提升关联交易,并促使其对公司价值发挥支持效应。研究加深了对D&O保险治理职能的理解,更新了对关联交易经济后果的惯性认知,对促进公司治理治理机制建设和完善现代企业制度具有重要的理论和现实意义。     

浅谈施工项目的质量管理措施

工程质量的管理与控制是影响和决定工程项目优劣的最直接的手段。项目的质量管理是全方位地对工程质量进行评判,保证施工项目的质量的优质,是施工单位、监管单位等相关部门共同的目标,加强施工项目的管理,采取有效的管理措施,不断的提高管理力度,通过实际施工,总结经验,多方面结合,达到最终的目的。本文通过阐述在施工过程中主要环节的管理的重要性,结合一些相关经验,提出几个观点。     

国际关联方交易内部结转价格的所得税税收和会计策略

国际关联方交易的内部结转价格是指跨国公司内部各个实体之间销售产品或者提供劳务所使用的一种内部划拨价格。跨国公司利用内部结转价格可以达到缴纳最少所得税等目的,国际上为了有效地对跨国公司国际关联方交易的内部结转价格在所得税方面进行税务和会计监督,执行着＂局外价格＂、＂比较价格＂和要求跨国公司揭示更多的财务信息的三种方法。文章认为,无论哪种方法都存在缺乏在世界范围内的统一规范、统一运作和统一监督的问题,应该成立一个由经济专家、会计专家和税务官员组成的全世界范围内的协会或组织予以协调。在我国应该结合具体国情选择相应的方法,并逐步向＂局外价格＂和＂比较价格＂过渡。

公司的社会责任是社会经济文化发展到一定阶段协调利益失衡的产物。随着中国社会经济发展的加速,公司对社会的影响也愈加增大。加强公司社会责任的认知及建设,对中国社会的健康、和谐发展有着重要作用。     

高效液相色谱法测定CHP与有关物质含量

采用Shim-pack CLC-SIL(4.6 mm×250 mm,5μm)色谱柱,建立了高效液相色谱法以乙腈-Ⅰ为流动相进行分离(其中Ⅰ为配制的稀硫酸溶液),二极管阵列检测器在230 nm波长处检测,测定CHP含量与有关物质。进样体积为10μL,流速为1 mL.min-1。
