事件经济:城市转型的发动机

面对农民工的返乡潮,可持续发展的压力,后工业社会的如期而至,城市如何实现华丽转身,从容器变为磁体,成为上海及许多城市发展的课题。文章从加拿大蒙特利尔市和意大利布雷西亚等城市利用事件经济实现城市转型的实证出发,结合城市发展与事件经济的关系梳理,探讨了事件经济对城市转型的作用模式,以上海为例,提出了利用事件经济、重视自组织事件发展、聚集创意人才来发动城市转型的具体建议。     

论高职英语听力教学中的文化导入

传统的高职英语听力教学中忽视了文化背景知识的传授，从而影响了听力教学的效果。本文阐述了文化和语言的关系，分析了文化背景对高职英语听力教学的影响，对高职英语听力教学中进行文化的导入提出了若干建议。     

Women in tourism: Shifting gender ideology in the DR

The purpose of this study is to explore the ways in which the employment of women in the tourism industry has challenged or reinforced the traditional machismo–marianismo gender ideology in the Dominican Republic. Semi-structured individual, coupled, and group interviews were conducted in 12 coastal communities to investigate residents’ perceptions about gender ideology as it intersects with the employment of women in tourism. The findings reveal tourism employment as a source of opportunity, with women gaining economic and social independence, but also conflict as women and men negotiate new gender roles and identities. Emphasizing issues such as the double workload, negotiating domestic tasks with partners, and tension resulting from employment, this study illuminates the pressing practical needs of Dominican women.     

Creating memorable experiences in a reuse heritage site

This study identified hypothetical relationships amongst motivation, nostalgia, and memorable tourism experiences in a restaurant reconstructed from an old railway station. We administered a face-to-face questionnaire survey and collected 615 valid questionnaires at the South Tainan Railway Station in Taiwan. The results showed significantly positive relationships between culinary attraction and cultural inheritance and nostalgia, as well as a correlation between nostalgia and memorable tourism experiences. Structural equation modelling analysis verified that nostalgia mediated the effect of personal emotion on memorable tourism experiences. This paper provides suggestions for enhancing memorable experiences and guidance regarding reused buildings at heritage sites.

地方高校文化与区域文化互动发展模式--文化素质提升工程的有效路径

文化根植于特定的社会历史和自然环境，归属于一定的地域。地方高校作为区域文化的中心，它的文化始终是包含在区域文化中的，带有区域文化的印记。区域文化与地方高校之间相互作用和影响，存在着紧密的互动关系，其有效互动发展模式是文化素质工程提升的有效路径。     

Cultural resistance and the gradual emergence of modern marketing and retailing practices in Spain, 1950–1975

The backwardness and autarky of early Francoism explain why Spain failed to enter the age of mass consumption before the late 1960s. The modernization of commercial practices lagged behind the rapid growth in income per capita. This article examines the different ways in which modern marketing methods were introduced in Spain during the 1950s and the 1960s. It demonstrates that marketing as both concept and practice faced fierce cultural resistance, manifest in the derided image of the salesman and an enduring distrust of advertising.     

Demonstrating Ethnocentrism

This paper presents a classroom exercise that may be used to demonstrate the concept of ethnocentrism. The exercise employs a map task that is used to indicate selective attention. The exercise is quick, informative, and generally entertaining, and it is appropriate as a teaching device wherever the marketing curriculum focuses upon international concerns.     

上海文化贸易发展的瓶颈与路径选择

“十二五”期间是我国文化产业发展的重要战略机遇期，文化贸易对国民经济的带动作用日益凸显。作为全国文化产品和服务出口的前沿阵地，上海文化贸易在快速发展的同时，仍存在规模偏小、结构不合理、贸易流向单一和贸易主体实力不强等问题。同时资金短缺、强势品牌缺失、专业人才匮乏、政府支持力度不够等制约因素使上海文化贸易进入发展瓶颈期。本文针对现有问题提出了促进上海文化贸易跨越式发展的路径与对策，以期进一步加快驱动上海外贸转型和城市创新。     

西方文明与经济全球化

近代西方文明的发展表现出对世界经济的深刻影响力，全球化成为了不以人们意志为转移的历史趋势。在全球化的背景下，西方文化加紧了对外扩张的步伐，而其实质则是利益的扩张。清醒地认识这一点，是我们在文化发展中既顺应文化融合的大潮，超越狭隘的民族局限，积极与世界沟通对话；同时又不受制于西方文化扩张的影响，熔东西方文明于一炉，从而为世界经济的发展提供不竭动力，并使经济全球化的进程沿着我们所期待的方向发展的前提。
