休闲旅游驱动森林旅游景区旅游规划模式演进。“三析五构”旅游规划模式注重社会发展导向,包括旅游环境分析、旅游资源评析和休闲旅游市场分析的“三维一体”系统评析,以及包含旅游规划理念体系、旅游规划目标体系、旅游功能区划体系、休闲旅游产品体系和旅游支持体系的“五位一体”体系构建。以南京牛首山森林公园为例对此模式进行了实证研究。

Is the US fiscal deficit sustainable?: A fractionally integrated approach

In this paper, we examine if sustainability of the US fiscal deficit holds by means of studying the univariate properties of the difference between expenditures and public revenues using a methodology based on fractional processes. Furthermore, we incorporate the possibility of structural breaks in the deficit process. The results show that when allowing for a break in the mid-1970s, the public deficit in the US is an I(d) process with the fractional integration parameter d being slightly less than unity, implying that the fiscal deficit is mean reverting, and thus, sustainable, though the adjustment process towards equilibrium will take a very long time.     

Minimal efficiency of designs under the class of orthogonally invariant information criteria

Consider the linear regression model with uncorrelated errors and an experimental design . In the article, we address the problem of calculating the minimal efficiency of with respect to the class of orthogonally invariant information criteria, containing all Kiefers criteria of _p-optimality, among others. We show that the -minimal efficiency of is equal to the minimal efficiency of with respect to a finite class of criteria which generalize the criterion of E-optimality. We also formulate conditions under which a design is maximin efficient, i.e. the most efficiency-stable for criteria from . To illustrate the results, we calculated the -minimal efficiency of _p (in particular D, A and E) optimal designs for polynomial regression on [–1,1] up to degree 4. Moreover, for the quadratic model we explicitly constructed the -maximin efficient design.Acknowledgement. The author would like to thank prof. Robust row-column designs for complete diallel cross experiments

This paper investigates the robustness of variance-balanced row-column designs for complete diallel cross experiments for estimating the comparisons among the general combining ability parameters against the loss of observations. A necessary and sufficient condition of robustness as per connectedness criterion is obtained. The robustness of optimal row-column designs of Gupta and Choi (1998) has been investigated for the loss of any m(≥1) observations in a column and for the loss of any two observations in the design. The study of robustness has also been conducted as per A-efficiency criterion.     

Relationship between Treasury bills and Eurodollars: Theoretical and Empirical Analyses

In this paper, we derive an equilibrium relationship between the yields on Eurodollar and Treasury bills based on equivalent martingale results derived by Harrison and Kreps (1979) and Harrison and Pliska (1981, 1983) as well as the corporate debt pricing model developed by Merton (1974). The derived equilibrium relationship incorporates the models used by Booth and Tse (1995) and Shrestha and Welch (2001) as special cases. The equilibrium relationship indicates that the conditional volatility of the yield on Eurodollars explains the variation in the TED spread. We empirically test the equilibrium relationship using a GARCH-M model and the concept of fractional cointegration. We use both the ex ante data implied by the respective futures contracts as well as the ex post spot data with daily, weekly and monthly frequencies. We find empirical support for the Equilibrium relationship.

Premium and reinsurance control of an ordinary insurance system with liabilities driven by a fractional Brownian motion

This paper investigates the problem of premium and reinsurance control of an ordinary insurance system when liabilities are driven by a fractional Brownian motion. The reserve equation is considered using two alternative routes: the first with no reinsurance option, and the second with some controllable proportional reinsurance coverage. Recent results from the theory of fractional linear-quadratic control (fractional calculus) are discussed, partially extended and utilized to derive compact analytical formulae for the optimal functionals of the safety loading (consequently for the respective premium rate), and the volume of the retained risk (or equivalently, for the proportion of the reinsurance coverage).     

Market Research for the Optimization of the Consumers Response to the Recent Award of a Protected Geographical Indication to a Local Product,Beans from “La Bañeza-León” (Spain)

Abstract

In Europe several low involvement food products with reduced productions have been awarded with a PGI or PDO during the last few years. The beans from La Bañeza-León (Spain) are an example of this and received a PGI in September 2005. The general objective was to appraise the effect that the award of the PGI to such kinds of food products has in consumers, in order to optimize the managerial and public policies, and to get maximum advantage from the PGI distinction in the commercialization of them. For low involvement products with PGI, the general guidelines should be to keep the prices as low as possible, to develop intensive public information campaigns about the award of the PGI, and to offer the product in medium or high involvement restaurants, in order to reach those consumers willing to pay more for the product, that are mainly in the age range of 36 to 45 years. It is also discussed that the PGI label would have more interest than a private brand. Specifically for beans from “La Bañeza-León,” the PGI Council should urgently tackle a promotional campaign about the product and the PGI award that should reach to most of the consumers in the target markets, taking into account that as the distance from the production area increases the knowledge of the product decreases. This campaign should help the consumer to clearly identify the beans from the PGI by using an attractive logo, and to inform them that the beans from the PGI are superior than substitutive beans in taste and cooking time. Finally, public campaigns that promote the consumption of beans among youth would be necessary.
