E-procurement adoption by European firms: A quantitative analysis   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We explore country differences in adoption of electronic procurement. Data are used from the EU-initiated e-Business W@tch survey 2003. Analyses are conducted on 3475 organizations from seven different European countries that were stratified according to nine different sectors and three size categories. It appears that there indeed are country differences with respect to e-procurement adoption, and that firms from countries with a low uncertainty avoidance such as Germany and the UK are the early adopters of e-procurement, while countries that are less reluctant to change such as Spain and France have lower adoption rates.  相似文献

Although training is one of the most cited critical success factors in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems implementations, few empirical studies have attempted to examine the characteristics of management of the training process within ERP implementation projects. Based on the data gathered from a sample of 158 respondents across four stakeholder groups involved in ERP implementation projects, and using a mixed method design, we have assembled a derived set of training best practices. Results suggest that the categorised list of ERP training best practices can be used to better understand training activities in ERP implementation projects. Furthermore, the results reveal that the company size and location have an impact on the relevance of training best practices. This empirical study also highlights the need to investigate the role of informal workplace trainers in ERP training activities.  相似文献

In the modern competitive organizational environment, more and more organizations are implementing knowledge management initiatives to achieve strategic advantages. One such initiative involves the implementation of electronic knowledge repositories (EKR). EKR implementation frequently results in a rapid increase in the quantity of information that must be processed daily by employees. This raises concerns about information overload (IO), and this is particularly true in relation to modern EKRs that use distributive technology. Furthermore, employees can also suffer from contribution overload (CO) because they can fulfill the functions of both knowledge seekers and knowledge contributors. This study employs the cognitive dissonance theory to determine whether IO and CO affect employees' willingness to use EKRs. The results from 144 survey respondents provide the first empirical evidence that contribution overload exerts a direct and significant negative effect on the intention to continue using EKR, whereas information overload exerts an indirect and significant negative effect on the intention to continue using EKR by altering perceived usefulness and satisfaction with the system.  相似文献

In this study, we aim to understand the characteristics of online group-buying consumers and to investigate salient factors which influence the continuance intention of online group-buying platforms (OGBP) to bridge this knowledge gap. An expectation-confirmation model of information systems (IS) continuance is adapted to construct a research model in online group-buying contexts. A total of 289 complete and valid responses were collected. Our findings contribute to academics and practitioners in two ways: Firstly, our respondents show that they are young (93% of the respondents' ages range between 19 and 28 years old), female (88% of the respondents), and thrifty (82% of the respondents' transaction amounts are below US$16). Secondly, based on our results, price performance expectations have a direct impact on confirmation. In addition, in contrast to the IS continuance model (Bhattacherjee, 2001), the effect of perceived usefulness on satisfaction is not supported. Thus, in online group-buying settings, confirmation is the key antecedent of satisfaction. Satisfaction and perceived usefulness are significantly associated with OGBP continuance intention. Consequently, in addition to offering a wide assortment of merchandise and a convenient online shopping experience to enhance customers' perceived usefulness of OGBP, OGBP managers should aim low-price marketing strategies at this female, young, thrifty and price-sensitive segment to transcend consumers' price expectations and attract consumers' continued intention to visit OGBP.  相似文献

金融创新与衍生工具的大发展是自 2 0世纪 70年代以来全球经济 (特别是发达经济体 )最显著变化之一 ,但这一变化在传统的IS LM模型中却得不到反映。本文通过金融创新对于交易效率、实际投资的利率弹性、金融投资的利率弹性这三条渠道的影响 ,将金融创新纳入IS LM模型。这一方面是弥补传统IS LM模型对现实经济变动反映的不足 ,另一方面也是对金融全球化时代符号经济与实体经济关联“形式化”的一种努力。新模型的分析结果表明 :长期而言 ,金融创新对产出有促进作用 ;但短期来说 ,金融创新的作用不确定 ,可能对产出产生负面影响。从而一味鼓吹金融创新会有误导作用  相似文献

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is critical to an organization’s success. However, the factors that contribute to the success and usage of these ERP systems have received little attention. This study developed and validation of an improved DeLone-McLean IS success model. Additionally, we examined the factors which influence ERP system usage, employee satisfaction, information quality, service quality, and system quality, as well as the factors that influence the system’s overall success. The proposed model is based on a mixed-methods case study (MM-CS). The results show that the proposed model significantly measures the success of an ERP system. The organizational climate, the information quality, the system quality, and the service quality all have an impact on the usage of an ERP system. The proposed model also shows that the use of an ERP system, training and learning, and the three information (IS) quality constructs are all significant predictors of user satisfaction. The results also indicate that gender and years of ICT use on the path of ERP users have a moderating effect on the relationship between teamwork & support and use.  相似文献
