Knowledge integration and network formation

In this paper, we highlight how inter-firm collaboration networks are influenced by the knowledge composition of goods in an industry. For this purpose, we carry out an agent-based simulation study in which firms integrate their competencies under different knowledge-based regimes. In this way networks form. The results reveal that knowledge regime significantly influences the network structure, and interaction among firms not only is very intensive when the products are specialized but also have common knowledge among them.     

Re-orienting the New (International) Political Economy

This commentary on Neil Smith's Uneven Development revisits his production of nature thesis and uses it as a jumping off point to explore how human bodies matter in contemporary capitalism. It argues that human bodies are increasingly subsumed within capitalism in ways that go beyond the roles of humans as labourers and purchasers of goods and services in a system of commodities producing commodities. Bodies are also treated as property, transportation and as conditions of production within circuits of capitalisms. Bodies also absorb the externalities and excesses of production and provide new spaces of accumulation in their degradation.

检察机关作为国家法律监督机关,不仅肩负着查办职务犯罪的法律监督职能,还担负着预防职务犯罪的重要职责。文章结合检察工作实际,积极探索预防职务犯罪的新模式,着重论述了预防职务犯罪的重要意义及在开展该项工作中存在的问题,并进一步就全面履行法律监督职能,深化预防职务犯罪工作,从源头治理职务犯罪,推进三项重点工作,不断开创检察事业的新局面等方面提出见解。     

Build an Organizational Structure Based on ＂Viable System Model＂

＂Viable System Model＂, invented by Professor Stafford Beer, is unmatched in organizational theories. This model is of great help in building a unique organizational structure and system, which emphasizes on strategic decision-making, regulation and control, and can be designed. A model of decision-making by proof and verification has been built.     

Credit to and in acceptance sampling

A simple method of controlling average outgoing quality is discussed. It is based on a straightforward definition of credit and proved to be valid under a quite tractable condition. The special case of acceptance sampling by attributes is studied in detail.     

公诉案件律师代理制度研究

随着对被害人保护呼声的日益高涨，公诉案件中的律师代理制度为理论界所重视和关注。该文由公诉案件律师代理的适用情形及制度的必要性入手，进而从律师职业的性质、被害人的人权保护、正义理论三个层面分析了该制度的理论基础，最后对代理律师的权利谱系作了简要的展开。     

东方管理文化与中国文化传播战略浅析——海派城市人文品牌识别体系建设试点研究

北京奥运成功举办以来，中国开启了世界人文识别体系。它的意义不仅体现在文化认识上，更为直接的表现在经济增长助力上。中国在大国治理中的人文识别与认同具有战略性。本文以上海建立海派城市品牌识别体系为例，提出了以东方管理文化为指导，在我国改革开放进一步深化阶段以上海为试点构建战略性系统的人文识别的治理模式具有深远的战略意义。     

The use of on-line summative assessment in an undergraduate financial accounting course

Accessed 14.03.2007] “Assessment describes any processes that appraise an individual’s knowledge, understanding, abilities or skills” and is inextricably linked to a course or programme’s intended learning outcomes. Assessment also has a fundamental effect on students’ learning where it serves a variety of purposes including evaluation, feedback and motivation. Assessment also provides a performance indicator for both students and staff. Computer-aided assessment (CAA) offers an option for “sustainable assessment” and provides opportunities for creating innovative assessment practices that help engage students and increase their motivation for learning. This paper reports the findings of a qualitative study where a series of on-line summative assessments were introduced into a first-year financial accounting course. Feedback from students obtained from an evaluative survey and focus group interviews indicates that assessment played a significant role in the teaching/learning process. That is, students perceived a beneficial impact on learning, motivation, and engagement.
