Information search and consideration set formation in a web-based store environment

The research reported here attempts to understand information search and consideration set formation in a web-based choice environment. A conceptual model is used to propose hypotheses that link information search and consideration set formation with two task environment influences that are typical of online settings. A study that simulates information search and consideration set formation in a web-based choice environment is conducted to test the hypotheses. The results offer insights into how the number of available alternatives and the amount of time available may have an effect on search and evaluation in a web-based store. The research has implications for understanding how consumers shop in online stores.     

品牌进入消费者考虑集的决策规则——基于牙膏产品品牌的实证研究

消费者考虑集是消费者决策过程中的重要阶段,品牌只有进入考虑集才有可能被最终购买。本研究在上海以牙膏作为测试对象检验了牙膏品牌进入考虑集时消费者所依据的决策规则。实证结果显示,消费者主要使用排除式决策规则、非权重的补偿式决策规则和权重的补偿式决策规则。     

我国地区之间实际收入差距小于名义收入差距 --加入地区间价格差异后的一项研究

影响地区间实际生活水平差异的因素包括居民名义收入和地区间价格水平差异两个方面。用价格水平对名义收入调整后才是地区间真实的收入差异。本文对我国36个城市人均可支配收入进行了价格调整,发现城市间真实生活水平的差异小于货币收入表示的名义收入差距。     

Dynamic risk management in petroleum project investment based on a variable precision rough set model

In this paper, an adaptive algorithm is designed for dynamic risk management in petroleum project investment based on a variable precision rough set (VPRS) model. In risk management, at each stage of decision-making, experts are invited to identify risk indices and support the decision-maker in evaluating the risk exposure (RE) of individual projects. The VPRS model is used to mine risk rules and determine the significance of risk indices from RE decision tables. Considering that there are multiple risks involved in any petroleum project investment, we use multi-objective programming to obtain the optimal selection of projects with minimum RE, where the significance of risk indices is assigned to each of the corresponding multi-objective functions as a weight. Moreover, we develop a risk ranking model to measure the degree of risk for individual projects in a portfolio. Finally, a numerical example based on a Chinese petroleum company's investments in overseas projects is presented to illustrate the proposed approach, and then conclusions are drawn.     

区域形状的粗集分类研究

本文主要利用粗集理论针对图像分割后的区域形状进行分类研究。依据粗集理论研究离散化数据的特点,考虑类分布信息,采用信息熵理论进行连续条件属性的离散化。在此基础上,利用约简算法剔除冗余属性,获取约简属性,并进一步提取决策规则。最后选取测试样本进行实验分析,结果表明分类是有效的。     

A characterization of exact non-atomic market games

Continuous exact non-atomic games are naturally associated to certain operators between Banach spaces. It thus makes sense to study games by means of the corresponding operators. We characterize non-atomic exact market games in terms of the properties of the associated operators. We also prove a separation theorem for weak compact sets of countably additive non-atomic measures, which is of independent interest.     

Codes of Ethics as Signals for Ethical Behavior

This study investigated effects of codes of ethics on perceptions of ethical behavior. Respondents from companies with codes of ethics (n = 465) rated role set members (top management, supervisors, peers, subordinates, self) as more ethical and felt more encouraged and supported for ethical behavior than respondents from companies without codes (n = 301). Key aspects of the organizational climate, such as supportiveness for ethical behavior, freedom to act ethically, and satisfaction with the outcome of ethical problems were impacted by the presence of an ethics code. The mere presence of a code of ethics appears to have a positive impact on perceptions of ethical behavior in organizations, even when respondents cannot recall specific content of the code.     

An empirical analysis of the factors raising the interest in new shopping destinations

The relationship among the factors in the rising interest in new alternatives is empirically investigated in the context of shopping destination choice behavior. The hypothetical causal relationship is that the rising interest in new alternatives requires both active information search and considerable benefit, which is supported by the results of the mixture structural equation models using a data set containing revealed shopping behaviors and attitudes toward shopping destinations in the Tokyo metropolitan area: a lower level of satisfaction with the current choice set incites external information search for all subjects; however, the benefit of adding new alternatives affects the interest in new alternatives only in the group that engages in active information search.
