A new study, sponsored by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, presented a comprehensive new perspective on the globalization of management education, (AACSB International, 2011). Its findings are sobering: with regard to emerging global trends in higher education and cross-border business, the report reveals a sizable gap between what the world needs and what management educators generally do. Key areas for attention include the expansion of mechanisms for quality improvement and assurance globally, strengthening the use of international partnerships, more intentional internationalization within the curriculum, and connecting various global activities to one another through a comprehensive globalization strategy. 相似文献

Unfortunately, most of the new teaching techniques designed to improve student learning are detrimental to student-teacher relationships. Nonresponse is a major problem in the use of mail questionnaires. The great number of variables that can influence response rates has resulted in an extensive literature on the subject, but a literature that is restricted to few examples of replication. Moreover, many of the studies reported in the literature were not conducted under controlled conditions. This article presents the results of a study using a single-factor experimental design to test the efficacy of two different follow-up forms in improving response rates. The results indicate that replacement questionnaires are to be preferred over postcard reminders when using a one-time follow-up in surveying a professional population. 相似文献

Efforts to promote corporate social and environmental accountability (SEA) should be informed by an understanding of stakeholders’
attitudes toward enhanced accountability standards. However, little is known about current attitudes on this subject, or the
determinants of these attitudes. To address this issue, this study examines the relationship between personal values and support
for social and environmental accountability for a sample of experienced MBA students. Exploratory factor analysis of the items
comprising our measure of support for SEA revealed two distinct factors: (1) endorsement of the general proposition that corporations
and executives should be held accountable for the social and environmental impacts of their actions; and (2) agreement that
the government should adopt and enforce formal SEA standards. Our findings indicate that the universalism value type is positively
associated with general support for SEA, but not with support for government enforcement of accountability standards. In addition,
we found that gender has a significant impact on support for government enforcement of SEA standards. 相似文献
