汇率改革以来,政府实施了一系列金融市场改革,促使金融市场一体化程度显著提高,增强了金融市场间联系。本文采用四元VAR(6)-GARCH(1,1)-BEKK模型分析了我国主要金融市场(股票市场、债券市场、外汇市场以及货币市场)的溢出关系。研究发现,上述市场有很强的波动集聚性和持续性,大多数金融市场间存在显著的双向均值溢出,所有市场间均存在显著的双向波动溢出,还发现市场间溢出可能主要来自于市场传染效应。据此,本文认为政府应该采取合理有效的监管框架,监控金融市场参与者的资本金状况,防止金融市场大幅波动,降低风险累积程度,并在执行货币政策时,兼顾金融市场价格变化对货币政策执行效力的影响。  相似文献

The GARCH model has been very successful in capturing the serial correlation of asset return volatilities. As a result, applying the model to options pricing attracts a lot of attention. However, previous tree-based GARCH option pricing algorithms suffer from exponential running time, a cut-off maturity, inaccuracy, or some combination thereof. Specifically, this paper proves that the popular trinomial-tree option pricing algorithms of Ritchken and Trevor (Ritchken, P. and Trevor, R., Pricing options under generalized GARCH and stochastic volatility processes. J. Finance, , 54(1), 377–402.) and Cakici and Topyan (Cakici, N. and Topyan, K., The GARCH option pricing model: a lattice approach. J. Comput. Finance, , 3(4), 71–85.) explode exponentially when the number of partitions per day, n, exceeds a threshold determined by the GARCH parameters. Furthermore, when explosion happens, the tree cannot grow beyond a certain maturity date, making it unable to price derivatives with a longer maturity. As a result, the algorithms must be limited to using small n, which may have accuracy problems. The paper presents an alternative trinomial-tree GARCH option pricing algorithm. This algorithm provably does not have the short-maturity problem. Furthermore, the tree-size growth is guaranteed to be quadratic if n is less than a threshold easily determined by the model parameters. This level of efficiency makes the proposed algorithm practical. The surprising finding for the first time places a tree-based GARCH option pricing algorithm in the same complexity class as binomial trees under the Black–Scholes model. Extensive numerical evaluation is conducted to confirm the analytical results and the numerical accuracy of the proposed algorithm. Of independent interest is a simple and efficient technique to calculate the transition probabilities of a multinomial tree using generating functions.  相似文献

A model for the statistical analysis of the total amount of insurance paid out on a policy is developed and applied. The model simultaneously deals with the number of claims (zero or more) and the amount of each claim. The number of claims is from a Poisson-based discrete distribution. Individual claim sizes are from a continuous right skewed distribution. The resulting distribution of total claim size is a mixed discrete-continuous model, with positive probability of a zero claim. The means and dispersions of the claim frequency and claim size distribution are modeled in terms of risk factors. The model is applied to a car insurance data set.  相似文献

Buchwalder et al. (2006) have illustrated that there are different approaches for the derivation of an estimate for the parameter estimation error in the distribution-free chain ladder reserving method. In this paper, we demonstrate that these approaches provide estimates that are close to each other for typical parameters. This is carried out by proving upper and lower bounds.  相似文献

This paper empirically tests the law of one price by applying unit root tests to three panels consisting of data on 90 consumer price indices for the EU-25, the EU-15 and the 10 new EU member countries that joined the EU in 2004. The four major findings of this paper are: (1) panel unit root tests find evidence of price convergence for about 70% of all product groups, (2) the results are sensitive to the choice of the numeraire country implying that any conclusions must be based on all bilateral combinations, (3) the average half life across all product groups is 2.0 years, (4) the overall evidence for the law of one price is weaker in the 10 new EU member countries than in the EU-15.

模糊理论使用语义变量本身所蕴含的特性,能减少处理问题时的不确定性所带来的困扰,被广泛的应用于各种领域的研究。首先回顾了基于模糊理论的模糊时间序列定义,对现有的模糊时间序列模型进行分析;在此基础上提出了一种新的模糊时间序列预测方法,以上证指数为对象进行了拟合。从结果看,新的基于模糊时间序列预测方法在MSN、平均误差(%)和标准误差(%)等指标上要优于现有的的预测方法。  相似文献

Regime-based asset allocation has been shown to add value over rebalancing to static weights and, in particular, reduce potential drawdowns by reacting to changes in market conditions. The predominant approach in previous studies has been to specify in advance a static decision rule for changing the allocation based on the state of financial markets or the economy. In this article, model predictive control (MPC) is used to dynamically optimize a portfolio based on forecasts of the mean and variance of financial returns from a hidden Markov model with time-varying parameters. There are computational advantages to using MPC when estimates of future returns are updated every time a new observation becomes available, since the optimal control actions are reconsidered anyway. MPC outperforms a static decision rule for changing the allocation and realizes both a higher return and a significantly lower risk than a buy-and-hold investment in various major stock market indices. This is after accounting for transaction costs, with a one-day delay in the implementation of allocation changes, and with zero-interest cash as the only alternative to the stock indices. Imposing a trading penalty that reduces the number of trades is found to increase the robustness of the approach.  相似文献

We consider the dynamic mean–variance portfolio choice without cash under a game theoretic framework. The mean–variance criterion is investigated in the situation where an investor allocates the wealth among risky assets while keeping no cash in a bank account. The problem is solved explicitly up to solutions of ordinary differential equations by applying the extended Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman equation system. Given a constant risk aversion coefficient, the optimal allocation without a risk-free asset depends linearly on the current wealth, while that with a risk-free asset turns out to be independent of the current wealth. We also study the minimum-variance criterion, which can be viewed as an extension of the mean–variance model when the risk aversion coefficient tends to infinity. Calibration exercises demonstrate that for large investments, the mean–variance model without cash yields the highest certainty equivalent return for both short-term and long-term investments. Furthermore, the mean–variance portfolio choices with and without cash yield almost the same Sharpe ratio for an investment with large initial wealth.  相似文献

In this paper, we show that if asset returns follow a generalized hyperbolic skewed t distribution, the investor has an exponential utility function and a riskless asset is available, the optimal portfolio weights can be found either in closed form or using a successive approximation scheme. We also derive lower bounds for the certainty equivalent return generated by the optimal portfolios. Finally, we present a study of the performance of mean–variance analysis and Taylor’s series expected utility expansion (up to the fourth moment) to compute optimal portfolios in this framework.  相似文献
