基于后悔理论构造了后悔规避型报童的效用函数.针对资金约束条件下后悔规避型报童的多产品订购问题,运用投资组合理论,在期望效用最大化的分析框架下建立了解决该问题的模型——后悔规避型报童投资组合模型.通过数值算例,说明了如何求解模型的有效前沿以及各种后悔规避程度的报童的最优订货决策.结果表明,与传统的风险厌恶型报童相比,在某些情况下,后悔规避型报童应该采取更为激进的订货行为;而在另一些情况下,应该采取更为保守的订货行为  相似文献

Agricultural productivity depends critically on investments in research and development (R&D), but there is a long lag in this response. Failing to invest today in improvements of agricultural productivity cannot be simply corrected a few decades later if the world finds itself short of food at that point in time. This fundamental irreversibility is particularly problematic in light of uncertain future population, income, and climate change, as portrayed in the IPCC’s Shared Socio-Economic Pathways (SSPs). This paper finds the optimal path of agricultural R&D spending over the 21st century for each SSP, along with valuation of those regrets associated with investment decisions later revealed to be in error. The maximum regret is minimized to find a robust optimal R&D pathway that factors in key uncertainties and the lag in productivity response to R&D. Results indicate that the whole of uncertainty’s impact on R&D is greater than the sum of its individual parts. Uncertainty in future population has the dominant impact on the optimal R&D expenditure path. The robust solution suggests that the optimal R&D spending strategy is very close to the one that will increase agricultural productivity fast enough to feed the World under the most populous scenario. It also suggests that society should accelerate R&D spending up to mid-century, thereafter moderating this growth rate.  相似文献

Consumer search behavior has received considerable research attention in marketing. An area that has not been studied, however, is unsuccessful consumer search and the outcomes of such. This study proposes the concept of “search regret,” a postsearch dissonance that results from an unsuccessful prepurchase search. A pilot study is conducted to verify the existence of the search regret construct and to identify its potential antecedents and consequences. A conceptual model is then presented and tested. Based on the results, implications for retailers as well as suggestions for future research relating to search regret are discussed.  相似文献

This paper analyzes a stopping problem where the decision maker is driven by anticipated ex-post regret. There are two sources of potential dynamic inconsistency, one is arrival of information and the other is changing choice opportunities over time—discarding the current stopping option may change how she stops the game in the future.First we consider a naive planner who prescribes a commitment solution, and illustrate the nature of the inconsistency problem. Then we consider a sophisticated planner who plays backward induction against her ‘successive selves’. The resolution of dynamic inconsistency does not in general allow the use of standard dynamic programming technique. We provide, however, a simple characterization of the backward induction strategy, which is given in a recursive formula.We also provide a behavioral implication, that larger indeterminacy of belief may lead to a more aggressive behavior, that is, continuing the gamble longer, which contrasts to the implication of ambiguity aversion.  相似文献

Experimental designs for field experiments are useful in planning agricultural experiments, environmental studies, etc. Optimal designs depend on the spatial correlation structures of field plots. Without knowing the correlation structures exactly in practice, we can study robust designs. Various neighborhoods of covariance matrices are introduced and discussed. Minimax robust design criteria are proposed, and useful results are derived. The generalized least squares estimator is often more efficient than the least squares estimator if the spatial correlation structure belongs to a small neighborhood of a covariance matrix. Examples are given to compare robust designs with optimal designs. The work was partially supported by research grants from the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada.  相似文献

This study examines the moderating role of severity of service failure between emotions and dissatisfaction, as well as between dissatisfaction and behavioral intention. Results showed that when customers’ regret and disappointment are low, service failure severity has an amplifying impact on their dissatisfaction. It also demonstrates that when customers’ dissatisfaction levels are low, service failure severity plays an important role in their negative word of mouth and switching intention. Therefore, if a restaurant can reduce its number and frequency of critical service failures, then restaurant operators can dramatically enhance customers’ word of mouth testimonials and customer retention.  相似文献

In this paper we consider asmissible and minimax estimation of the parameter in the gamma distribution with truncated parameter space. We give a necessary and sufficient condition for minimaxity (Theorem 1) and obtain the classes of new minimax and asmissible estimators. The results of the paper can be applied to estimation of parameters in the normal, lognormal, Pareto, generalized gamma, generalized Laplace and other distributions.  相似文献
