美德会展业发展比较及其启示

当今世界会展业的发展已经取得了举世瞩目的成就,带动了相关人流、物流、资金流、信息流的迅速发展。尤其在以美国和德国为代表的欧美国家,会展业对GDP贡献十分明显,会展业俨然成为经济结构中重要的产业部门。在介绍当今美、德会展业发展模式的基础上,采用比较分析的方法,分析了两国会展业发展的异同之处,并结合当前中国会展业存在的问题,借鉴美德会展业发展的先进经验,得出中国会展业发展应该管理突出行业化、办展注重专业化、发展实现品牌化、人才培养优秀化的启示。     

Institutional arrangements and price rebalancing: empirical evidence from the United States and Europe

This paper explores the rebalancing of prices for voice service in the United States (US) and the European Union (EU) from conceptual and empirical perspectives. We determine the overall cost and structure of a standardized basket of residential and business services. Our data indicate that during the 1994–2000 period the degree of rate rebalancing was significantly higher in the EU than in the US. While the developments at the level of EU Member States are more heterogeneous and the process of rate rebalancing is not completed, these findings correspond to the predictions derived from our comparative institutional analysis.

我国汽车工业进一步发展的制约因素正由“供给约束型”向“需求约束型”转变,汽车消费信贷的健康发展正成为汽车工业发展的关键。本文运用比较分析法,通过对中美之间的汽车消费信贷政策、信贷机构、信贷业务、信用制度体系及信贷保险进行比较,剖析了我国汽车消费信贷发展中存在的问题,并相应提出了完善我国汽车消费信贷市场的政策建议。     

美国大豆期货市场与现货市场价格传导关系研究

对美国大豆期货市场与现货市场价格传导关系的实证分析表明,美国大豆期货市场与现货市场相关性较强,期货市场与现货市场之间存在显著的长期均衡关系;期货市场和现货市场存在误差校正机制,当偏离两者的长期均衡关系时,重新回到原有均衡关系的调整速度较快;期货市场与现货市场相互引导,但现货市场的引导作用大于期货市场.文章提出,发现价格和套期保值是期货市场最基本的功能,这些功能的发挥与现货市场的发展密切相关.期货市场的产生与发展并不是对现货市场的替代,而且在完善的市场体系中,现货市场对期货市场具有较强的引导作用,现货市场发展的程度是影响期货市场功能发挥程度的关键因素.不断改善现货市场环境,加强现货市场建设,是促进期货市场快速发展的现实选择.     

The Defects of WTO Anti-Dumping Rules and Related Reform

Since Canada made the first anti-dumping code in 1904,United States,Australia and France made their domestic anti-dumping codes successively.In 1947, the contracting parties made anti-dumping rules part of GATT （Article VI）.Due to the broad use of tariff and non- tariff trade barriers,few countries turned to anti-dumping measures in 1950s.Recently,because of the reduction of tariff and the restrictions on non-tariff barriers,the number of anti- dumping cases increases very quickly.For example,the total anti-dumping initiations in 1980 are 69,while the number of anti-dumping initiations in 2001 is 366.

Prevalence and predictors of bicycle helmet use in a southeastern,US city

Fatalities and head injuries from bicycle-related crashes remain a concern in the United States. Despite legislation in many states, helmet use remains low. This observational study examined the helmet use and related factors in a North Carolina city. The sample consisted of 2088 observations of bicyclists. The objectives were to (1) determine helmet use; (2) describe other safe bicycling practices; and (3) examine the relationship of demographic variables and safe riding practices with helmet use. Helmet use was observed for 25% of the sample. Demographic factors related to helmet use were being female (OR = 1.32), 26 years old or older (OR = 4.94), and White (OR = 2.17). Bicyclists riding on the road with traffic were more likely to wear a helmet than bicyclists riding on the sidewalk (OR = 2.04). Findings indicate that helmet use remains low in the city. Research to monitor, better understand, and promote helmet use is needed.     

Long-term evolution of airport networks: Optimization model and its application to the United States

In this article, we introduce an optimization model aimed to assist aviation authorities in their strategic decisions regarding the long-term expansion of a network of airports. The objective is to maximize total system throughput for a given budget taking into account the capacity of the airports and the impact of travel costs upon demand. The results that can be obtained through the application of the model are first illustrated for a hypothetical small-size network and then in a study regarding the evolution of the network of the principal airports of the United States.     

The Role of Governments in Aligning Functional Income Distribution with Full Employment

Demand is an incentive for investment. The latter is necessary to create employment. If demand lags behind supply, then unemployment and underemployment rise. Persistent unemployment and underemployment indicate a dysfunctional price mechanism. Then, only governments can stimulate demand. They may equalize ex ante saving and investment by public investment, income redistribution, or market regulation.
