下沙高校区垃圾分类现状调查

通过对下沙高教园区垃圾分类的实际情况的调查发现,下沙高教园区内垃圾分类现状存在的缺陷和漏洞。通过问卷调查和实际考察的结果,了解大学生对垃圾分类的认识及落实程度,并且通过一系列宣传有关垃圾分类知识的活动,提高大学生进行垃圾分类以及落实垃圾分类的意识,实现垃圾分类切实化、推广化,贯彻可持续发展的理念。     

The impact of minimum wages on employment of low‐wage workers

This study provides empirical evidence on the impact of a minimum wage increase on employment of workers in the formal sector who have wages below the minimum level in Vietnam. Using the difference‐in‐differences with propensity score matching and the Vietnam Household Living Standard Surveys of 2004 and 2006, the article finds that the minimum wage increase in 2005 reduced the proportion of workers having a formal sector job among low‐wage workers. Most workers who lost formal sector jobs became self‐employed.     

Transition to market economics: Employment and informal activity in rural areas

According to the neo-liberal model, the high levels of unemployment and collapsing real wages of transition will reallocate labor to new activities. But whether and how households actually reallocate labor is the subject of growing debate. We use survey data from Bulgaria to develop a typology of rural households based on their labor allocation characteristics. We find a diversity of outcomes. A significant share of households experience no change in labor allocation, some shift labor to own commercial enterprises, but a significant minority are displaced from the emerging market economy. Potential for informal activity among these households appears limited. Of great concern is the regional concentration of such households.

水资源所有权是中国水权制度改革中的核心问题.<物权法>肯定了将水资源国家所有权改造成为纯粹的私权的主流观念.事实上,在世界水资源国家所有权的产生和发展历史上,民法典并未将其纳入私权体系.水资源国家所有权主要是规定在宪法和水资源单行法中,公权的属性更为突出.应当矫正我国<物权法>对水资源国家所有权不恰当的私权定位,实现其公共所有权的回归,特别是要强调水资源国家所有权的全民性和国家责任.     

Major league baseball’s Moneyball at age 15: a re-appraisal

In the 15 years since publication of the book Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game in 2003, major-league baseball (MLB) has seen the embrace of analytics by both fans and teams. Using 45 seasons of MLB data, since the introduction of the designated-hitter in the American League in 1973, the present study validates the central premise in Moneyball regarding the importance of certain performance metrics, such as on-base percentage (OBP). The terms in our empirical model are constructed such that our results permit a straightforward comparison of the relative contribution of each factor towards MLB teams’ success in winning games. We also provide evidence indicating that MLB teams have moved to align their payrolls with Moneyball analytics in the years following the book’s publication.

网络流行语作为网络文化的产物,映射当下现代文明的各类现状。通过挖掘网络流行语内在起因、情境和心理,以反沉默螺旋法则为理论依据,研究当代民众网络话语权的产生、表达方式和表达心态以及相关应对机制。希望通过本研究对我国社会行政管理科学化进程有所助益。     

The impact of the net percentage growth rate in the number of small firms on differential state-level employment growth rates in the US: an exploratory empirical note

This brief exploratory empirical note seeks to identify key determinants of geographic differentials in the percentage growth rate of state-level employment in the US, with the primary focus being on the percentage net growth rate in the number of small firms (i.e., those with fewer than 20 employees) in each state, where this variable serves as a de facto reflection of ‘entrepreneurship’. In the interest of identifying other key factors that influence state-level employment growth rates, the effective income tax rate in each state, quality of life elements and labour market considerations are also included in the analysis. The study period runs from the year 2000 to the year 2007, ending just prior to the ‘Great Recession’. The estimation results imply that the state-level employment growth rate in the US was an increasing function of the percentage net growth rate in the number of small firms in each state. Thus, it appears that the small firms growth rate may in fact be a significant source.
