Abstract

In this paper we summarize and comment on the papers published in issue 6.3. Innovation and HRM: Absences and politics

This article analyses the role of HRM practices in the implementation of an innovative cross-functional approach to new product development (concurrent engineering, CE) in Eurotech Industries. Contrary to CE methodology stipulations, and despite supportive conditions, HRM received scant attention in the implementation process. Organizational power and politics were clearly involved in this situation, and this article explores how their play created such HRM ‘absences’. The article builds on a four-dimensional view of power in order to provide a deeper understanding of the embedded, interdependent and political nature of HRM practice and innovation.     

The ‘Human’ Touch

Abstract

This article critically discusses the almost mythical conception of voluntary and ‘grass-roots’ organizations as problem solvers in current welfare policy – a myth, which over the last twenty years has become increasingly dominant in social policy programmes in advanced liberal welfare states. In particular, the article examines the assumption that voluntary and local organizations are permeated by a different rationality that enables human beings to act as ‘real humans’ rather than as professionals and clients – a rationality which is, however, permanently at risk of being contaminated by bureaucratic influence. It is demonstrated that among the conditions of possibility for this discourse are explanatory models and concepts in modern organizational theory and in voluntary sector studies. The article argues that the conceptualizations of power, rationality and social change dominant in these studies are unsatisfactory. Instead, it applies a Foucauldian approach to the domain of drug addiction treatment, analysing a social work ‘regime’ that transgresses the traditional boundaries between state and voluntary sector.     

Top pay transparency in Europe: codes,convergence and clichés

Following the waves of corporate scandals and the increasing attention to corporate governance, the transparency of reporting on director-level pay has increased across Europe. This article examines the extent of convergence in laws, codes and corporate reporting practices in regard to director-level pay in France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK. The paper analyses annual reports and the websites of 23 companies, using institutional theory to discuss the coercive, normative and mimetic pressures for convergence that are revealed, not just in the laws and codes in each country, but also in the standardized wording in the relevant sections of reports which have become clichés.

电力投资决策的期权博弈模型及其发展评述

电力投资决策对于电力企业甚至电力行业的发展有着举足轻重的作用,电力企业的投资选择是在外部环境竞争复杂性和不确定性的约束下进行的,需要研究复杂竞争环境和不确定因素条件下的投资决策方法。本文以电力投资决策模型分析入手,总结了电力投资决策模型的发展过程,探讨了电力投资的期权博弈模型发展过程、研究重点、缺陷、及发展方向,展示了电力投资决策期权博弈理论的发展脉络和思考重点。实践证明,该方法不仅能够对电力投资项目进行更加科学的而评估,还能够为电力行业的发展做出更加科学合理的决策。     

关于电厂变压器的安装与调试分析

电厂要为用户输送分配电能离不开变压器的作用,电力系统能否稳定有效的工作与变压器的安全可靠性息息相关。变压器在电力系统中的作用多种多样,不管是变电所还是发电厂,都有不同规格、容量、电压级的变压器。电厂对变压器的安装调试和运作要严格根据相关的操作顺序和施工办法进行,不能够违背国家规定的安全准则和验收标准,这样才能保障变压器的安全可靠性。     

供电企业财务预算管理初探

随着我国电力企业改革的不断深入,如何建立起与企业实际情况及市场经济相适应的全面预算管理模式,受到了企业组织者及财务管理者的极大重视。文章首先分析企业财务预算管理的内涵,随后对电力企业财务预算管理现状进行探讨,最后提出了几点具体策略。     

汽轮机的运行和故障分析

企业的经营生产离不开电力的供应,而现阶段我国的电力供应依靠发电厂供电,通过汽轮机等一系列机械设备来产生电能。就目前的情形来看,为了保证我国更好地发展,还需要加强对电力设备的保障,而汽轮机则是其中的重要环节。
