Anglo versus Hispanic Children's Influence on Parental Purchase of Cereal

Children's influence on parental purchases of cereal was investigated by unobtrusively observing 15 pair of Anglo and 15 pair of Hispanic children and their parent(s) in the cereal aisle of Allentown, Pennsylvania grocery stores. Tabulation was kept on whether the child did or did not influence the purchase behavior of their parent(s). It was found that overall, children had a statistically significant influence on their parents' purchase behavior (p < .01). Although a percentage difference existed, there was no statistically significant difference between the Anglo children's influence and the Hispanic children's influence on their parents' purchasing behavior of cereal (p < .05).

近年来,随着我国石油进口量的增加以及航运业的发展,船舶溢油风险越来越高。船舶油污强制责任保险制度能有效地保障船舶油污损害得到及时充分的赔偿。我国已意识到这一制度的重要性,不断完善相关立法。《中华人民共和国防治船舶污染海洋环境管理条例》及《中华人民共和国船舶油污损害民事责任保险实施办法》的出台解决了保险范围、保险额度等一系列相关问题,也给我国油轮市场带来一定压力。在分析新规定的优势和不足后,提出了完善我国相关立法的建议。     

职业院校技能型课程行动导向教学实践与探索——以纳税实务课程为例

高职院校会计专业在人才培养过程中要注重学生综合职业能力的培养,将行动导向教学法引入会计专业的教学中,能够适应职业技能型课程的特殊要求。文章以高职院校会计专业当中的纳税实务课程的学习为例,对该种教学法的使用进行了探索与实践,并提出了在实际运用过程中应该注意的问题。

The Ethical Case for Affirmative Action

Affirmative action has been a particularly contentious policy issue that has polarised contributions to the debate. Over recent times in most western countries, support for affirmative action has, however, been largely snuffed out or beaten into retreat and replaced by the concept of ‹diversity management’. Thus, any contemporary study that examines the development of affirmative action would suggest that its opponents have won the battle. Nonetheless, this article argues that because the battle has been won on dubious ethical grounds it is important that we do not allow affirmative action to sink unnoticed. This article explores and challenges the ethical and philosophical underpinnings of opponents’ views and finds their cases against affirmative action are not ethically sound. The article concludes there are strong ethical grounds for those organisations which seek to do well, to reassert affirmative action programmes in the global efforts to eradicate systemic discrimination and disadvantage.     

土地出让市场的博弈分析:利益背景与政府行为过程

研究目的:建立土地出让市场监管博弈模型,分析监管部门和出让部门的混合策略选择,提出完善土地出让市场监管的有效制度安排。研究方法:博弈分析。研究结果:(1)出让部门违规的动因来源于其行为所产生的远超出正常行为的得益以及违规行为被查处后所受的损失与其违规收益的机会成本考量;(2)监管部门的监管绩效取决于激励及约束机制的侧重点及其效率。研究结论:完善土地出让市场的着力点在于对监管部门和出让部门的行为空间与利益空间的规制,同时应进行相应的经济及行政体制改革。     

Exploring the concept of coopetition: A typology for the strategic moves of the Finnish forest industry

The Finnish forest industry is sustainable, well-established, internationally oriented and successful. For companies in such a basic industry, an industry that features mainly bulk products and relatively small domestic markets, sustainability in business may hinge on long-term strategic choices. It is proposed in this paper that it is not only strong domestic competition, but also—and especially—coopetition traditions (simultaneous cooperation and coopetition) that are the crucial factors contributing to the success of the industry. This article contributes to the literature by providing industry-level tools, namely a coopetition framework and combined coopetition typology. The findings indicate that coopetition traditions have been present throughout the activities of the Finnish forest industry, enabling sustainability of the industry to a significant extent. Managerial and theoretical implications are also discussed.
