WTO下的金融服务贸易自由化与国家经济安全

本文通过对《金融服务协议》(FSA)有关条款及制度设计的考察,说明WTO下的金融服务贸易自由化可保证成员国政策的独立性、资本的有限流动及金融资产安全;各国金融服务市场开放程度由谈判程序和正列举承诺方式决定的制度设计可保证成员国根据本国金融业竞争力水平自主决定其开放进程。文章结论认为,WTO下的成员国金融服务贸易自由化不会引致本国经济的不安全。     

国际小额信贷模式运作机制比较研究

国际上公认有成效的四种小额信贷模式在贷款抵押、利率形式及目标客户的选择等运作机制设计上存在差异.通过比较发现以连带责任替代抵押担保、以市场化利率取代贴息利率及采用动态贷款激励是这些模式取得高还款率和绩效的关键.为使小额信贷能在新农村建设中发挥作用,我国应建立以农村信用社为基础、市场化运作的小额信贷模式,把联保机制引入农村经济组织及实施差别利率,实现小额信贷财务持续性、服务穷人与社会效益的平衡发展,最终缓解或消除贫困.     

利率市场化对商业银行影响的经验及启示——以台湾为例

利率市场化的加速推进给国内城商行的经营发展带来深刻的影响。国内利率市场化遵循渐进改革思路,与台湾地区利率市场化具有相似之处,经历14年的利率市场化改革,台湾银行业在低利差的环境下通过推进组织流程优化来提升运营效率;强化金融服务手段来改善资金来源结构,从而降低资金成本;依托金融控股公司平台,发挥整合行销效益,扩大客户基础;积极调整优化资产结构,大力拓展民营企业和消费金融业务等举措实现发展转型及安全稳健经营。台湾银行业的发展经验值得国内城商行借鉴。     

资本市场开放与会计信息可比性——来自“沪港通”的经验证据

以2014年"沪港通"的实施作为外生事件,基于双重差分模型实证检验"沪港通"政策对于会计信息可比性的影响。研究发现:"沪港通"政策的实施显著提升了上市公司会计信息的可比性;"沪港通"政策通过公司治理机制提高了上市公司会计信息的可比性。"沪港通"政策对于提高我国资本市场的会计信息质量具有一定的积极作用,为我国后续资本市场进一步对外开放提供了经验证据。     

Investment liberalization — Why a restrictive cross-border merger policy can be counterproductive

Investment liberalizing countries are often concerned that cross-border mergers and acquisitions, in contrast to greenfield investments, might have an adverse effect on domestic firms and consumers. However, given that domestic assets are sufficiently scarce, we identify a preemption effect and an asset complementarity effect, which imply that the acquisition price is substantially higher than the domestic seller's profits. Moreover, we show that for the acquisition to take place, the MNE must be sufficiently efficient when using the domestic assets, otherwise rivals will expand their business, thereby making the acquisition unprofitable. Consequently, restricting cross-border M&As may also hurt consumers.     

市场化进程中的我国银行业绩效分析

本文首先回顾了有关市场结构与银行绩效之间关系的理论文献和实践经验,并总结出四种判断标准.其次分析了我国银行业市场化进程以及对银行绩效的影响,并实证分析了市场结构、存款规模、市场容量以及外部经济环境对银行绩效的影响.最后得出结论并提出有关建议.     

African American Participation in Wildland Outdoor Recreation

Outdoor recreation is an important aspect of the American culture, with a central tenant that all citizens have the right to enjoy the public wildlands. The present study analyzed African American wildland outdoor recreation behavior and found that this segment of the population, as a proportion, tended to participate in wildland outdoor recreation activities to a significantly lesser extent than their White counterparts. The findings suggest important public policy implications.     

Social networks,rule of law and economic growth in China: The elusive pursuit of the right combination of private and public ordering

Social networks have always been an integral part of every society. However, they are different and play a more prominent role in Asian societies. In particular, it will be argued that the relationship of private ordering, networks of relationships, and informal law to formal law are necessary in addition to rule of law for a sustained economic growth. This is evident in how various Asian countries escaped the financial crisis that crippled the region. Rather than an analysis of several different Asian societies, China will be the main focus.     

Social networks and electronic commerce in China∗

Communications technologies that make up the emerging global information infrastructure have the power to regulate online behavior. Social networks in Chinese society have survived the growth of formal legal institutions and liberalization of China's economy, but it is not clear whether they can survive the regulatory pressures created by global information technology networks. The spread of electronic commerce technologies in China may strengthen legal institutions and open local markets to international competition, but is likely to be resisted by all the same interests that resist those changes in other contexts. The Chinese response to the spread of electronic commerce might take several forms: assimilation; marginalization; or localization of new forms of commercial activity that rely on new technologies.     

Impact of Cross-Strait Trade Liberalization： A Computable General Equilibrium Analysis

This paper applies a computable general equilibrium model to investigate the potential economic effects of trade liberalization across the Taiwan Strait. Our simulation results reveal that cross-Strait trade liberalization will have significant positive impacts on external trade, domestic investment and real GDP for the economies in this area in general and in Taiwan in particular. Furthermore, the negative impact from the formation of a free trade arrangement between Taiwan and Chinese Mainland on Hong Kong seems to be rather small. These results suggest that cross-Strait trade liberalization is very likely to bring about a win-win situation for the economies in this area.
