Property Regimes as Information Regimes: Efficiency and Economies of Joint Production

The paper argues that it is useful to view property regimes asinformation regimes. A conceptual model and numerical example are usedto show that, under some reasonable assumptions, a common propertyregime is preferable to a private property regime when property regimesare viewed as information regimes. The paper considers a case ofidiosyncratic risk in a dynamic grazing context where the marginality ofthe resource is such that insurance markets are thin or non-existent.Agents are thought to be risk averse and exogenous enforcement of a risksharing scheme is not feasible. The policy implication is that theestablishment and maintenance of a common property regime is shown to bea (possibly) reasonable institutional response in the face of difficultand particular circumstances when property regimes are viewed asinformation regimes.     

SERIES EXPANSION OF THE SABR JOINT DENSITY

Under the SABR stochastic volatility model, pricing and hedging contracts that are sensitive to forward smile risk (e.g., forward starting options, barrier options) require the joint transition density. In this paper, we address this problem by providing closed‐form representations, asymptotically, of the joint transition density. Specifically, we construct an expansion of the joint density through a hierarchy of parabolic equations after applying total volatility‐of‐volatility scaling and a near‐Gaussian coordinate transformation. We then establish an existence result to characterize the truncation error and provide explicit joint density formulas for the first three orders. Our approach inherits the same spirit of a small total volatility‐of‐volatility assumption as in the original SABR analysis. Our results for the joint transition density serve as a basis for managing forward smile risk. Through numerical experiments, we illustrate the accuracy of our expansion in terms of joint density, marginal density, probability mass, and implied volatilities for European call options.

文章在分析传统汽车零部件采购和零部件联合采购的基础上,构建了汽车零部件联合采购模型,探索性的提出三种汽车零部件采购联盟的运作模式:委托代理式汽车零部件采购联盟、合资式汽车零部件采购联盟、第三方运营的汽车零部件采购联盟。并对每种模式进行了详细的分析,同时提出采购联盟组建过程中需要注意的问题,为汽车零部件联合采购提供了理论基础。

Risk Preferences,Production Risk and Firm Heterogeneity*

A new technique is proposed for deriving the risk preference function under production risk and expected utility of profit maximization. The derivation depends on neither a specific parametric form of the utility function nor any distribution of the error term representing production risk. The proposed risk preference function is flexible enough to test different types of risk behavior and symmetry of the output distribution. Furthermore, our production risk specification allows for inputs with positive and negative marginal risk. The econometric model accommodates production risk, risk preferences and firm heterogeneity simultaneously. Norwegian salmon farming data are used as an application.

一种基于QoS的多任务实时集群系统负载均衡算法

负载均衡算法是多任务实时集群系统的一个关键技术。在分析了常见的轮转式均衡调度算法和任务最少优先法的优缺点基础上，针对实时集群系统处理多类任务的特点，引入了加权负载率的概念来更准确地描述各分布式集群节点的负载状况。提出了通过任务QoS映射为负载权值的思想，并给出了一种改进的任务最少优先算法——加权负载率最小法，描述了以加权负载率表为核心的多任务均衡调度算法。最后，通过仿真验证了该算法明显优于前两种算法。
