Pointing Out Differences: Consumer Evaluations of Comparative Information Across Product Types

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of comparative claims across search and experience product types. Data was obtained from 159 Taiwanese college students. Results reveal that comparative claims used in blogs (compared to those in print ads) produce lower counterarguments and consumers more easily accept claims made on a blog. Comparative claims lead to higher brand attitude and purchase intention for search products on the blog; however, noncomparative ads lead to higher brand attitude and purchase intention for experience products on the blog. For both search and experience products, there is no significant difference.     

采用航迹特征的智能机型识别

针对空战目标识别中机型自动识别比较困难的问题,提出了采用航迹特征的智能目标识别方法。利用卷积神经网络（Convolutional Neural Network,CNN）分层学习特征的能力,训练CNN算法模型自动地从航迹数据中学习有用的特征并分类。利用沿海实地采集的15个类别的飞机航迹数据,经一系列数据预处理后作为智能识别算法的训练和测试数据,在验证实验中描述了算法网络的相关配置,对比了CNN与其他分类器的识别结果。实验结果表明,CNN具有很好的识别性能。     

西北地区农村居民点景观格局指数的尺度效应及其最佳粒度选择分析——以西安市为例

文章以西安市2013年土地利用调查数据为源数据,基于arcgis10.0与Fragstats3.4软件,运用景观空间格局的分析方法,从斑块、类型等2个水平上分析西安市农村居民点景观空间格局粒度效应。结果表明:(1)粒度效应敏感的指数有斑块密度、斑块个数、分离度指数、邻近度指数,粒度效应比较敏感的指数有平均斑块面积、最大斑块指数,粒度效应最不敏感的指数有形状指数、聚集度指数及结合度指数。(2)大致可将上述9种景观指数分为3类:第一类,随着粒度的增大,景观指数值表现为下降的变化趋势;第二类,随着粒度的增大,景观指数值呈逐渐增大的趋势;第三类,随着尺度的增大,具有显著的尺度转折,可预测性差。(3)随着粒度的粗化,农村居民点破碎度降低,优势度增加,形状变得规则,分布趋向分散。该研究区农村居民点最佳尺度范围为60~90m,适宜粒度为90m。     

董事会特征与会计师事务所的选择——来自中国证券市场的经验证据

本文利用2002—2004年中国上市公司及其主审会计师事务所作为研究样本，检验董事会特征对公司选择会计师事务所类型的影响。在控制了上市公司的规模、行业、经营业绩和财务杠杆等因素的影响后，研究发现，设立了审计委员会的上市公司更加倾向于选择“国际四大”会计师事务所，同时证明了董事会受大股东控制对于选择“国际四大”所的概率具有显著影响。     

Corporate association strategies and consumer responses: The relative effectiveness of CA versus CSR communication strategy by industry type

Given the importance of communication in the realm of corporate associations, this study analyzes the roles that communication strategies play in the formation of corporate associations. The study examines (1) whether particular types of associations (corporate ability or corporate social responsibility associations) can be developed through CA- or CSR-based communication strategies, and (2) the relative effectiveness of these two association types at amplifying favorable consumer responses across three different industries (consumable goods, durable goods, and stigmatized goods). An experiment was conducted to test the proposed model with six Fortune 500 companies. The results demonstrate that communication strategies can effectively facilitate a particular type of association. Differing levels of association effectiveness were found within each industry. For the consumable goods industry, CA associations are found to be more effective than CSR associations. For the durable goods industry, CSR associations are more influential at enhancing consumer attitudes and purchase intent than CA associations, while CA associations have a larger impact on supportive communication intent. In the case of the stigmatized industry, CSR associations play a determinant role in fostering positive consumer responses. This study provides managers and communication specialists with more concrete guidance for choosing a particular corporate positioning and communication strategy.
