Shopping enjoyment and store shopping modes: The moderating influence of chronic time pressure

The objectives of this study were to investigate: (a) whether shopping enjoyment has a differential influence on two key store shopping modes (browsing vs. bargain hunting); (b) whether the level of chronic time pressure moderates the influence of shopping enjoyment on each shopping mode; and (c) whether each of the shopping modes has a differential influence on hedonic shopping value. Data were collected from a sample of US store shoppers (n=1009). Results revealed that the influence of shopping enjoyment was much stronger on the browsing mode than on the bargain hunting mode. In turn, the browsing mode exerted a stronger influence on hedonic shopping value. Also, this study confirmed that the level of chronic time pressure significantly moderated the influence of shopping enjoyment on the browsing mode. Implications for brick-and-mortar retailers were discussed with suggestions for future research.

Issues in New Political Economy: An Overview

A brief overview of the historical background, nature, and rapid growth in volume and scope of new political economy since the early 1980s is provided. the paper continues with some general reflections on the strengths and weaknesses of the new political economy approach, illustrated by the other contributions to this special issue of the Journal of Economic Surveys . The final Section summarises these contributions.     

北京超市购物环境面面观

本文认为,如今超市购物环境虽然得到了消费者的初步肯定,但仍存在很多问题,如有些超市服务设施不足,导购标志与卫生间、安全通道、禁烟区标志不明显,残疾人服务设施缺乏,停车难,个别超市服务不到位等。文章提出,为改善超市购物环境,应建立和完善绿色商场评估体系,制定绿色商场标准,大力推广绿色商场创建及评价工作,实行商场绿色挂牌制度;制定商场无危险、无污染、无异味、无障碍、无内急现象的“五无”绿色标准,低能耗、低空驶、低噪声的“三低”绿色标准和绿色营销、绿色包装、绿色监管、绿色服务等四项绿色管理标准。     

Ownership concentration and corporate governance practices: substitution or expropriation effects?

The objective of this study is to analyze the relation between ownership concentration and corporate governance practices of a group of Canadian companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. We rely on the corporate governance index developed by the Report on Business (ROB) in 2002. Our empirical results are consistent with the expropriation effect argument that predicts a negative relation between deviation from the one share‐one vote rule and corporate governance best practices. In this context, the dominant shareholder has incentives to maintain weak internal controls in order to facilitate expropriation. In addition, consistent with prior research, our results give partial support to the substitution effect argument by showing a negative impact of ownership concentration on the board composition subindex. 购物中心零售业态是传统的具有双边市场特征的交易平台。大型零售商通过整体租赁购物中心零售业态进行选址开店的模式,可以看作是双边市场中基于零售商一体化双边市场交易平台的行为。一体化结构下,大型零售商不仅成功实现零售业态的进一步拓展,本身也由单纯从事商品销售的零售商转变为具有双边市场特征的平台企业。作为平台企业,其运作机制遵循双边市场的经营特征,主要表现在倾斜定价机制和平台多产品组合竞争。但其核心竞争力依然来源于自身经营商品的竞争优势。

资产专用性对诚信行为选择的作用机理

对资产专用性影响诚信行为选择的作用机理进行探讨的结果显示,资产专用性的投入对经济主体的诚信行为选择具有一定的约束力,资产专用性程度投入水平较低的交易方具有较大的主动权和决定权,影响资产专用性作用发挥的主要因素包括交易频率和信息不对称。为了构建诚信交易环境,需要适度提高专用性资产投入水平、加强市场监管力度、降低信息不对称程度、培养交易主体的诚信意识等。     

网购平台信用评价体系系统研究

近年以来,网络购物取得了爆发式增长,给人民带来便利的同时,网络诚信问题也随之凸显。网购平台的信用评价系统是解决网络诚信问题的重要工具。本文以国内最大网购平台淘宝为例,系统研究了淘宝信用评价系统的优劣,存在的问题及原因,并就如何优化淘宝的信用评价系统给出了相关建议。     

阿根廷债务重组：现实困局与制度反思

自2001年主权债务违约后,阿根廷经历了2005年和2010年两次债务互换,但是,由于少数“钉子户”债权人的反对并诉诸司法程序,阿根廷债务重组陷入再次违约的重大风险。回顾阿根廷债务重组的过程以及以对冲基金为主的少数债权人对阿根廷的诉讼,可以清晰地看出阿根廷主权债务重组困境是由阿根廷自身非审慎性的债务重组机制、美国行为的双重标准以及全球主权债务重组基础机制缺失等造成的。随着重债富国问题的出现,主权债务重组中的国内外司法管辖权、私人部门与公共部门参与、集体行动条款与同等权益条款,以及合同法与法定机制等争论更加凸显,建立一个全球性主权债务重组机制是国际金融体系稳定的基础任务。
