日本的企业虽然以其不同于欧美的模式实现了经济的快速增长,但在20世纪末期的知识经济大潮中却增长乏力.成长期的王牌在新的环境里变成了桎梏.结合知识经济与日本企业的特点,认为制约其发展的弊端是主银行制、交叉持股、内部治理结构三个方面.同样的制度在不同环境背景下的不同意义,掌握其中不断变化的国情和不变的规则对我国是有益的.     

中国商业银行市场集中度影响因素及趋势研究

中国商业银行市场集中度影响因素中,期初集中度、外资银行进入、并购、市场需求成长率与效率变量对集中度的影响为负,而产品差异度与集中度不相关。对趋势的分析表明中国商业银行市场集中度将会经历一个由下降到上升的过程,但是其持续的时间将取决于中国经济金融市场化的深度与速度。     

网络外部性与网上银行的定价策略

文章首先介绍了网络外部性的理论渊源,然后探讨了网络外部性的内涵和分类,其次阐述了网上银行的定价策略,再次从直接和间接网络外部性的角度,提出了两个模型,解释网上银行定价策略的原因,最后给出了结论。     

银行业:收益、股价及投资价值的比较分析

近年来,我国股票市场出现了一个奇异现象,即银行板块业绩优异,但其股价却严重偏离其价值。研究表明,出现这一奇特现象,不是因为该行业的股票盘子大,也不是因为政府融资平台和房地产泡沫等问题的存在导致该行业风险大,而是因为银行股波动性小,同时,也是因为相对来说我国上市公司中银行业经营管理规范、稳健,没有太多可炒作的题材,因此不受市场的投机性资金追捧。     

The Power of Stakeholders' Voice: The Effects of Social Media Activism on Stock Markets

Building on social movement theory, this study assesses the influence of social media activism on the stock market performance of targeted firms. We focus on information published on Twitter by two critical stakeholders: consumer associations and trade unions. To the extent that social media represent a valid medium to mobilize stakeholders' activism, protests on Twitter may damage firm reputation, leading to capital market reactions. Using a corpus of over 1.5 million tweets referring to Spanish listed banks, we study the impact of activism by looking at targeted firms' abnormal variations in price and trading volume. Our findings suggest that the Twitter activism of key stakeholders has a significant impact on investors' decisions. Further, our empirical analyses indicate that the mechanisms affecting investors' behavior differ depending on the characteristics of the stakeholder group. Hence, this study contributes to understanding how social movements influence corporate behavior via social media. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd and ERP Environment

The Impact of House Prices on Consumer Credit: Evidence from an Internet Bank

This paper shows that house price fluctuations can have a significant impact on credit availability. Data from Prosper.com, a peer‐to‐peer lending site that matches borrowers and lenders to provide unsecured consumer loans, indicate that homeowners in states with declining house prices experience higher interest rates, greater credit rationing, and faster delinquency. We find especially large effects for subprime borrowers whose balance sheets are likely most exposed to asset price declines. This evidence suggests that asset price fluctuations can play an important role in determining credit conditions and are thus a potentially significant mechanism for propagating macroeconomic shocks.     

Assessing ethical behaviours in the Spanish banking and insurance industries: evidence and challenges

This study aims to improve understanding of the ethical nature of the relations in two labour-intensive industries to facilitate the creation of an ethical culture. For this purpose, the authors first review literature related to the main influences on ethical behaviour, then perform an empirical analysis of those factors using a hierarchical stepwise regression of a database of 525 banking and insurance employees. Contrary to expectations, leadership has a less important effect on ethical behaviour than other organizational factors. The results reveal several implications for improving the management of ethical behaviour in these industries.

Comparative Analysis of Thresholds of Non-Revolutionary Institutional Change: China and the United States in the 1980s

Ireland has experienced a series of interlocking banking, fiscal, unemployment, and political crises since 2007. We detail the challenges involved in modeling individual moments of the crisis through the lens of balance sheets and transactions matrices among sectors of the Irish society. We conclude with a series of recommendations for models of small open economies.
