Innovativeness and business relationships in women‐owned firms: The role of gender stereotypes

This paper investigates the relationship between business contacts and innovativeness in women‐owned firms and how women entrepreneurs’ perception of gender stereotypes affects this relationship. Data were collected through a survey of 107 women entrepreneurs in Spain. The results show that maintaining close contacts with managers/entrepreneurs in different industries and with customers is significant in explaining innovativeness in women‐owned firms. The stronger the women entrepreneurs’ perception of stereotypes that deviate from the masculine profile of the entrepreneur, the stronger the influence of these two types of close contact on innovativeness. 大连市流动人口的社会救助现状

随着社会保障制度的不断完善,目前大连市社会救助体系已基本实现了全民覆盖。但是受我国"二元社会结构"影响,流动人口在生活、就业、社会福利及维权方面仍处于弱势地位。分别从最低生活保障、特困人员供养、灾害救助、医疗救助、教育救助、住房救助、就业救助、临时救助、民间救济、法律援助和监督管理11个方面,对大连市流动人口的社会救助现状进行了调研分析。     

Meanings of Food among Polish and American Young Women

Food carries different meanings across cultures and times. This study aimed to explore the meanings of food among young women in Poland and the United States using a qualitative approach. The findings show that, in both countries, women associate food with health, pleasure, and socializing, but overall Polish women are less emotional about food. More specifically, in the United States, women associate food with love, their identities, and have more conflictual feelings about food, whereas in Poland women associate food with creativity. The study discusses marketing implications of the results.     

Semistatic hedging and pricing American floating strike lookback options

We price an American floating strike lookback option under the Black–Scholes model with a hypothetic static hedging portfolio (HSHP) composed of nontradable European options. Our approach is more efficient than the tree methods because recalculating the option prices is much quicker. Applying put–call duality to an HSHP yields a tradable semistatic hedging portfolio (SSHP). Numerical results indicate that an SSHP has better hedging performance than a delta-hedged portfolio. Finally, we investigate the model risk for SSHP under a stochastic volatility assumption and find that the model risk is related to the correlation between asset price and volatility.     

电影中的“视觉理论”探析

电影电视已经成为了我们日常生活中的一部分。然而只需稍加注意就会发现年轻性感的银幕美女比比皆是。英国女性主义电影理论家劳拉.穆尔维在她的《视觉快感和叙事性电影》中把精神分析引入女性主义电影研究。她对主流好莱坞叙事电影进行了批判性解读,对视觉快感理论进行了阐释。观众通过对银幕美女的观看能够得到快感,而且这种视觉快感不自觉地分裂为主动的/男性和被动的/女性。     

不同负荷对女子链球旋转技术的运动学研究

本文通过对陕西省王峥、张莉、张叶伟等省队优秀女子运动员采用文献法、专家访谈法、生物力学测试方法和数理统计法等研究方法对投掷不同重量铅球的动作技术进行分析,结果表明:①不同负荷对链球旋转投掷技术在各个阶段的运动学参数存在差异。②不同负荷在教学和训练过程中应该采用相对的质量。③不同负荷在链球投掷训练过程中,建议选球重量与标准球重量差异不超过1.5公斤,否则可能对标准球投掷技术的技术结构与技术节奏产生负面影响。     

Call for papers: Special Issue of International Journal of HRM

Though women remain under-represented among expatriate managers due to a range of organisational and cultural barriers in selection and individual relocation concerns, they have begun to pursue alternative routes towards a global career such as frequent travel and undertaking domestic positions with international development and community development responsibilities. In this paper, we explore the perceptions that Middle Eastern and North American women have of traditional and new trajectories in global work and careers and conclude that increased flexibility allows women to pursue global development opportunities differently throughout their lifetime careers, permitting them to adapt to work–life circumstances. Thus, our research provides new insights into the nature and dynamic of the nature of women's global work and careers.     

中国城市女性慈善参与的影响因素分析——以海西区部分城市为研究样本

以海西区部分城市女性慈善参与状况为样本，通过抽样问卷调查和实地访谈，调查了解女性的慈善意识状况和慈善参与典型实践，阐释分析影响城市女性慈善参与的社会层面因素、家庭层面因素和个人层面因素，以期为和谐构建中的城市女性慈善队伍的发展提供可能有益的参考。     

中州铝厂烧结法赤泥“霜”物质研究

为了分析赤泥“泛霜”现象的成因，采用X-衍射、扫描电子显微镜、原子吸收等方法研究了中州铝厂各时期烧结法赤泥“霜”物质的化学：组成、矿物组成、微观形态等，结果表明，可按溶解性将白色“泛霜”物质分为可溶钠钾盐类与不可溶钙镁盐类，为解决赤泥建材产品“泛霜”问题奠定了理论基础。     

浅析肃南县开展妇女小额信贷的优势与困境

自中国实行小额信贷后不久,由于女性在借贷中的特有优势,使中国开始逐步推行妇女小额信贷。各地在初步尝试开展妇女小额信贷的过程中,会面临不同的问题。肃南县已形成良好的小额信贷基础,又具有重视女性的特有文化传统,再加上人际关系作用在借贷中对交易成本的节省,使肃南县在开展妇女小额信贷上具有一定的优势。但肃南县本身经济发展落后,金融生态环境较差以及金融知识的普及程度不高等因素也对该项信贷业务的发展形成阻碍。总体而言,肃南县开展妇女小额信贷的优势大于劣势。
