A new continuous distribution and two new families of distributions based on the exponential

Recent work on social status led to derivation of a new continuous distribution based on the exponential. The new variate, termed the ring(2)-exponential, in turn leads to derivation of two closely related new families of continuous distributions, the mirror-exponential and the ring-exponential. Both the standard exponential and the ring(2)-exponential are special cases of both the new families. In this paper, we first focus on the ring(2)-exponential, describing its derivation and examining its properties, and next introduce the two new families, describing their derivation and initiating exploration of their properties. The mirror-exponential arises naturally in the study of status; the ring-exponential arises from the mathematical structure of the ring(2)-exponential. Both have the potential for broad application in diverse contexts across science and engineering. Within sociobehavioral contexts, the new mirror-exponential may have application to the problem of approximating the form and inequality of the wage distribution.

本文分析了会计诚信在高校会计教育中的现状,阐述了高校开展多维会计诚信教育的必要性,并从课堂教学会计诚信理念的灌输、实践环节诚信行为的培育、会计工作过程中诚信的反馈、校园环境中诚信习惯的养成、建立“大学生诚信档案”实行全程信用记录等方面,全方位、多角度地构建高校多维会计诚信教育模式。     

Endowed chairs in entrepreneurship: deans’ preferences versus chair holders’ expericences

Business school deans’ feelings about the importance of various teaching research and service activities in the roles played by holders of endowed chairs in Entrepreneurship were contrasted with the views of chair holders themselves, based on their experiences. Differences were highlighted and discussed. Results suggest that the chair holder role is negotiated between multiple constituencies, with deans’ influence being strong but limited. Implications for individuals aspiring to hold chairs are discussed.     

Productivity and Welfare

Technical change is generally characterized by a rate and biases, both evaluated for given producer prices. This paper examines the potential discrepancy between this rate and the corresponding rate of consumer welfare change as measured by Allais distributable surplus. We postulate a general equilibrium context with various market failures (taxes, quotas, imperfect competition, and “poorly priced” commodities), and use comparative statics to express the rate of welfare change in terms of the rate and biases of the technical change. An elementary simulation model of a taxed economy suggests that the rate of welfare change may differ from the rate of technical change by as much as 50% under plausible circumstances.     

会计高等教育实验教学体系架构研究

本文认为,会计实验教学是强化实践环节的基本形式,将自然科学中的实验机制引入会计教学,从不同角度寻求会计现象在实质上的共同特性,结合现有会计高等教育实验教学的弊端,建立为会计教育培养目标服务的会计实验教学体系,探讨会计实验教学体系的条件,对于提高会计高等教育效能有着极其重要的意义。

目前我国的物流人才培养还存在很多的问题，而社会的发展急需很多的高水平物流人才。本文探讨了我国物流人才培养教育问题，并提出了“构建教育网络．促进物流人才培养”这一构想。加上多元化教育的配合．将有利于我国培养更多的高素质物流人才。     

Roles of chairs in entrepreneurship: What deans expect

Major donations, especially for endowed chairs, put Colleges of Business and Universities in the spotlight and create a great deal of excitement, highlighting the important role that educational institutions play in benefiting the students, the community, and society in general. This kind of excitement needs to be sustained over time, signifying the link that the endowed Chair or Professorship in Entrepreneurship creates between the past, the present, and the future. Consequently, there is a need for a long-term personal connection and close relationship between the donor, the faculty holding the endowed chair, and the institution represented by the Dean that should be preserved over time. This study reports findings of a survey of the perceptions of AACSB Deans on what an Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship is, and what it could, and should mean for their institution.     

论我国成人高等教育理念与方法改革

成人高等教育作为我国高等教育和终身教育体系的一大组成部分，在我国和谐社会建设中起着重要的基础性和先导性作用。本文针对当前我国成人高等教育存在的问题，基于和谐社会建设这一时代背景，从教育观念转变、教育模式与方法的特色化改革等方面探讨了新形势下成人高等教育改革与发展的方向与对策，以期推动我国成人高等教育的健康持续发展，促进国家和社会发展的和谐与稳定。
