城镇化背景下的户籍制度改革：方向、重心与路径选择

随着我国工业化、城镇化建设的快速推进,户籍制度对人口流动的限制作用正在逐渐减弱,因此当前我国户籍制度改革的探索方向与重心应开始转向如何通过革除当前户籍制度的利益分配功能进而实现公民利益权利的无差别化待遇,如何加快推进城乡一体化进程进而缩小城乡差距,以及如何提高农村劳动力的受教育程度和质量进而解决城乡教育的“二元化”等一系列问题上来。     

The Components of Accounting Ratios as Co-integrated Variables

Time series of accounting variables may often be non-stationary, i.e. they have a unit root, as in the common example of a random walk. This can lead to spurious results in time series regression analysis which uses such variables. The problem is overcome if the variables are co-integrated. This paper examines and tests the proposition that, where the variables are expressed in logarithmic form, calculating a ratio may capture the effects of co-integration. Thus, accounting ratios (calculated in logarithmic form) might be stationary, and therefore exempt from the econometric pathology associated with their component variables.     

Decentralization,Economic Development,and Growth in Turkish Provinces

There have been important developments in the decentralization of the government structure in Turkey since the early 1980s. This paper examines economic development and growth in Turkish provinces. It first discusses local government reforms throughout the history of Turkey with the focus on recent reform efforts. It then empirically analyzes the effects of recent decentralization reforms in Turkish provinces using cross-sectional and panel data approaches as well as spatial econometrics. The panel data set consists of sixty-seven provinces from 1976 to 2001. Using the number of local governments per capita and number of local governments per square kilometer of land to indicate decentralization, the analysis examines whether variations in local decentralization across these provinces and across time have significantly affected economic development and growth in those provinces. The findings suggest a weak negative economic effect of decentralization through a number of municipalities per capita. However, the findings do not show any significant effect from the creation of new provinces by separation from the existing ones.

缺乏积极的城市化推进模式是中国城市化整体发展滞后的重要原因。旨在扩大农村劳动力非农就业的思路模式是中国城市化进程加速发展的理性选择。基于扩大非农就业的路径选择,城市化促进模式体现为一个政策体系:提高农村劳动力的非农就业收入,降低农村劳动力的非农就业成本,扩大非农产业市场的劳动需求,完善城市就业制度。     

关于中国农村劳动力转移规模的估计

在传统的城乡二元体制下，我国是一个人口流动率极低的国家。随着改革开放的不断深入和劳动力市场的不断完善，大规模的农村劳动力转移已经成为我国社会经济发展进程中引人注目的现象。关于农村劳动力转移规模的估计，现有的大部分研究和调查结果并不一致。通过对现有文献中有关农村劳动力转移规模的估计进行梳理，希望能够更加全面地反映改革开放以来我国农村劳动力转移的规模和变化趋势。     

农村劳动力转移与城乡收入差距

若要缩小城乡收入差距,农村劳动力的转移无疑是至关重要的。但是,如果农村人力资本转移与农村劳动力数量转移不均衡,就会使农业的发展相对滞后、城乡收入差距持续扩大。这就意味着为达到缩小城乡收入差距的目的,既要促进农村劳动力的转移,还要注意消除农村劳动力转移对农业活动的消极影响。

经济理论表明长期雇佣是维持和谐、稳定劳动关系的重要条件.在长期雇佣条件下雇佣双方通常会理性地选择对双方都有激励和约束作用的报酬后置的支付模式,但考虑到这种支付模式是双方的隐性协议以及我国劳动力市场中雇佣双方力量悬殊的现实情况,不可避免地会出现用人单位单方面发生道德风险的可能性,而<劳动合同法>中无固定期限劳动合同的出台有效地保护了劳动者尤其是资深劳动者的合法权益.

Enter the Dragon: Have Imports from China Hurt Wages in Manufacturing?

While it is often argued that imports from China are depressing manufacturing wages in recipient countries, this has never been tested using cross‐country data. This article investigates the effect of increased import penetration from China on the wages of workers (total, skilled and unskilled) in the manufacturing sector of 100 economies from 1976 to 2008. The econometric analysis finds no evidence suggesting that import penetration of manufactured goods from China has a statistically significant effect on real manufacturing wages (skilled, unskilled and total) in either developed or developing economies. This may be because Chinese exports are too heterogeneous to strongly affect any particular industry in recipient economies or because foreign consumers are differentiating products made in China from those made locally based on country and brand loyalty and preconceived notions of quality.     

Appearance-related consumption among dating,cohabiting and married consumers: a comparison between men and women

This paper explores press releases, a neglected area of retail and marketing research, from leading British supermarket retailers over a two-year period to December 2002. Major themes for press releases are found to be products and services, corporate social responsibility, and corporate affairs and performance, although individual retailers show different emphases. A stakeholder engagement approach demonstrates how the releases seek to build networks of common interest, which is particularly demonstrable in relation to support for British farming and charitable activities. However it is noted that both these could be considered “easy targets”, grateful for any support they can obtain.
