Reductionist scientific methodology has been at the forefront of economics research for much of the past 50 years. This short essay argues that recent discoveries in genetic engineering show that the study of complex phenomena might not be best served by such an approach, but rather by one that takes into consideration more evolutionary approaches. This provides a tremendous opportunity for the field of bioeconomics to establish itself as a major school of though, going into the future.

近几年,票据转贴现业务在银行间市场兴起,并迅速壮大,但关于该业务的报价分析和深入研究几乎是空白。作者结合对银行资金交易的全面了解,以及工作中对票据转贴现业务的深入分析,找出对票据转贴现盈亏起决定作用的因素,进而,依据＂盈亏平衡＂理论,建立数学模型,精确推导出合理的贴现率报价,使得报价行在保证持有票据期间的期望收益率后,最大化持有期收益或最小化持有期的亏损。     

Theme park revenue management with a dual admission policy

There are several efforts to increase the revenue of theme parks. One of them is to divide admission policy into normal and express admission. If a certain customer buys express admission ticket with more expensive price, it is possible to reduce the excessive waiting time by using the exclusive waiting line for some or all the attraction’s rides. In this study, decision-making elements such as the price of the express admission ticket, maximum allowed number of express admission ticket per day, and the type of rides which can apply the express admission ticket are investigated to maximize the revenue.     

What do customers expect of travel agent–customer interactions? Measuring and improving customer experience in interactions with travel agents

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to explore what customers expect of travel agent–customer interactions by developing a scale of customer service experience; further, a framework to demonstrate how to improve customer service experience derived from interactions with travel agents is proposed. The results indicate that the indirect effect of travel agent interpersonal competencies on word-of-mouth is not through cognitive customer service experience but rather through affective customer service experience. Also, the indirect effect of travel agent professional competencies on word-of-mouth is not through affective customer service experience but rather through cognitive customer service experience.     

基于数学规划的混凝土最佳砂率确定方法

砂率对混凝土的经济性和耐久性的影响不可忽视。本文讨论了最佳砂率的影响因素，介绍了数学规划的基本思想和求解方法。利用正交试验和最小二乘法建立了坍落度(SL)与用水量(W)和砂率(Sp)之间的数学模型，在此基础上可以通过数学规划的方法确定任一指定坍落度下的最佳砂率。     

将数学软件和数学实验融入微积分教学的实践

现有的高等数学教学已不适应现代经济发展要求。我们将Mathematica数学软件和数学实验引入课堂教 学,利用数学软件的功能,提高学生学习数学知识和应用数学知识解决实际问题的能力,以达到培养学生的创新意识 和应用能力。
