This article explores the potential use of Science Fiction Prototypes (SFPs) as a vehicle to promote creative thinking and innovation in the business and technology development process. In particular, the paper describes a tool, “The Imagination Workshop”, which business people can use to drive near and far term product innovation, futuristic business and entrepreneurship. A key contribution of this article is the use of a modified evolutionary model of the Science Fiction Prototyping creation process (cyclic SFP), which, instead of being linear process (as in earlier approaches), is based around a set of feedback loops in the form of an iterative evolutionary co-creative process. In addition, the paper describes how the SFP methodology has been applied to business innovation and entrepreneurship in two small UK companies. Finally, it reflects on the strengths and weaknesses of these methods from a business perspective.  相似文献

Although it has been claimed that the devastation and complexities that characterize an organizational crisis may be addressed most effectively with creative solutions, theoretical and empirical research examining this challenge is scarce. We developed a theoretical model concerning creative decision making during organizational crisis for crisis management teams. To test this theory, we collected data from 191 individuals in 37 teams who participated in multi-hour, multi-phased organizational crisis simulations in the United States and Canada. Using regression analysis, we found that crisis management teams generated a creative decision when they were familiar with solutions, trusted their team members, and had creative intentions. This study supports organizational efforts to leverage education, training and accountability to reinforce creativity in crisis decision making.  相似文献

Informed by the confusion theory, this study tests the three main aspects of environmental uncertainty on organizational creativity and extends the moderating model of organizational agility in uncertain environments. The data were collected from 174 managers of five-star hotels. Construct validity and the hypotheses were tested using AMOS 26.0. The findings show that organizational agility moderates the negative impacts of competitive and technological uncertainty on organizational creativity. The results suggest that in highly dynamic and complex environments, organizations must reduce bureaucracy to manage the challenges of uncertainty. Informed by the confusion and contingency theories, this study offers new insights into the relationship between environmental uncertainty, organizational creativity, and organizational agility in the hospitality industry.  相似文献

针对工作压力与员工创造力关系的认识在管理学界存在严重分歧,其作用机制研究也处于探索阶段。通过对394名企业员工的问卷调查,研究挑战-阻碍性压力对员工创造力的影响机理,以及工作卷入的中介作用和组织支持感的调节作用。研究表明:挑战性压力对员工创造力具有显著正向影响,阻碍性压力对员工创造力具有显著负向影响;工作卷入在挑战-阻碍性压力与员工创造力之间起完全中介作用;组织支持感弱化挑战-阻碍性压力对工作卷入的影响。  相似文献

双元管理模式越来越受到商界的青睐。以往研究发现了双元领导的积极作用或消极作用,但缺乏从整合视角考量双元领导的双刃剑效应,以及双元领导何时出现利之刃,何时出现伤之刃。基于社会信息加工理论,本研究提出双元领导会给员工带来矛盾体验;这种矛盾体验既可能提升创造力,又可能导致其拖延。同时,提出中庸思维作为调节变量会强化矛盾体验与创造力的积极关系,也会削弱矛盾体验与拖延行为的消极关系。采用经验取样法,通过对8家高新技术企业68名员工连续10周的656份有效观测数据的回归分析,本研究提出的所有假设均得到支持。本研究有利于进一步认识双元领导的双刃剑效应,引领管理者调整双元领导风格和注重员工辩证思维的培养,以充分发挥员工的创造力,减少其拖延行为。  相似文献

基于1995—2015年中国家电和汽车行业共40个上市公司(20+20个)的全部发明、实用新型专利数据,提取得到219名关键研发者,并将其创造力类型划分为速成型(创造力上升迅速但下降缓慢)和慢热型(创造力上升缓慢但下降速度快)。然后,从个体属性出发,研究学历和首次职位升迁两个因素对关键研发者职业生涯上升阶段创造力的影响。利用Logit模型进行分析,结果发现:在关键研发者职业生涯上升期,其学历越高,就越有可能是速成型而不是慢热型;关键研发者职业生涯上升期如果发生首次职位升迁,他们更有可能是慢热型而不是速成型。从理论上丰富了关键研发者创造力影响因素研究,对如何实现关键研发者快速成长具有实践指导价值,有助于企业完善关键研发者选拔机制与管理策略。  相似文献

当前,“90后”正逐渐进入职场,成为企业主力军,同时,易变性职业生涯态度也已成为新生代员工的主流职业发展倾向。那么,新生代员工易变性职业生涯态度是否有利于促进其在工作中的创造力呢?为此,基于自我决定理论探究两者间的影响机制,基于251份有效样本数据的实证结果表明:易变性职业生涯态度对成就需要、创造力均有显著正向影响;成就需要在易变性职业生涯态度与创造力间起中介作用;组织支持感强化成就需要对创造力的促进作用;组织支持感强化易变性职业生涯态度通过成就需要对创造力的间接影响。研究结论对于政策制定者和管理者具有重要意义,尤其是对于那些拥有较高比例新生代员工的企业,管理实践价值更高。  相似文献

This article considers design and scenario work as a team-coaching experience. It presents the componential theory of learning in coaching and the underlying componential model of creative learning, highlighting some ideas and showing some possibilities of using them for creating and implementing a creative learning environment necessary for the success of both design and scenario work. The benefits of other methods and tools of educational science and psychology are also briefly described. Finally, possibilities arising from the new as well as the usual perspectives on design and scenario work for educational science and psychology – more precisely, coaching and creativity research – are dealt with. In the last section of the article, general principles used are highlighted and summarized. Some connections to fundamental questions of the role of sciences, arts, theory and practice as well as of the location of design and scenario work are discussed. Thereby, a possible solution to the related controversy is initially proposed. Overall, this article shows some of the areas in which educational science and psychology, on the one side, and design and scenario work, on the other, can be of mutual benefit. It aims to initiate further discussions about connections among the mentioned fields, and seeks to suggest some possibilities for interdisciplinary research and utilization of its results.  相似文献
