THE LAST MILE: AN EXAMINATION OF EFFECTS OF ONLINE RETAIL DELIVERY STRATEGIES ON CONSUMERS

The Internet has increased the level of importance of the end‐consumer market to transportation carriers. In two between subject experiments, carrier disclosure on retail merchant websites is examined as a strategic differentiation strategy. Predictions are offered concerning effects of carrier disclosure strategies on product delivery‐related expectations, consumer attitudes, and intentions to purchase a product online. Results from Study 1 reveal significant differences between disclosure and nondisclosure of the carrier for numerous product delivery‐related variables, as well as many differences between the six carriers examined in this first study. Study 2 extends these findings by showing that providing consumers with a choice of carrier leads to increased levels of satisfaction with the online experience and greater willingness to buy, relative to nondisclosure and disclosure strategies.     

Real exchange rate targeting and macroeconomic instability

Using an optimizing model of a small open economy, this paper studies the macroeconomic effects of PPP rules whereby the government increases the devaluation rate when the real exchange rate—defined as the price of tradables in terms of nontradables—is below its long-run level and reduces the devaluation rate when the real exchange rate is above its long-run level. The paper shows that the mere existence of such a rule can generate aggregate instability due to self-fulfilling expectations. The result is shown to obtain in both flexible- and sluggish-price environments.

我国大城市郊区化与汽车产业的发展

在我国大城市出现的郊区化现象与西方发达国家具有若干相似性 ,也存在大量的不同特征和不同的动力机制。郊区化是城市化发展到一定阶段的产物 ,是大城市空间结构调整的表现形式。在合理的城市与区域规划引导下 ,郊区化与汽车产业的发展将会相互促进 ,并推动大城市空间结构的优化     

融资优序与行业管制——兼析中国上市公司“异常融资优序”现象

企业融资先通过内部资金进行,然后再通过银行借款或发行低风险的债券,最后才采用股票,这种融资的“先后顺序”是企业出于降低融资成本和防止剩余利润被分享所做出的理性选择,这就是融资优序理论。本文认为,寡头竞争所形成的行业进入壁垒为优序融资的实现提供了必须的市场环境,其资金使用方式能够优化资源配置,提高资金的使用效率。融资优序理论在发达市场经济国家得到了实践的验证,但在我国上市公司中却存在“异常融资优序”(Abnormal pccking Order)现象,即外部资金优于内部资金,外部资金中股权融资优于债权融资。其原因在于,中国市场经济不太完善,缺乏通过寡头竞争自发形成的行业进入壁垒。本文认为只有采取行业管制手段,设置一定的行业进入壁垒,才能实现优序融资,从而达到优化资源配置的目的。     

Industry evolution and R&D externalities

R&D externalities can imply ranges of aggregate increasing returns to scale in R&D. As a consequence several equilibria can exist involving different numbers of firms and different R&D investment levels. In a theoretical model the equilibrium dynamics are analyzed, showing that cyclical fluctuations of the number of firms and R&D investment may be expected, and that the long-run equilibrium is highly sensitive to investors' initial beliefs. The model is tested empirically using a unique database comprising competing firms in various R&D races.     

基于价格指数的房地产实物期权嘈声滤波研究

房地产实物期权价值一般是建立在指数价格基础上的,基础资产具有不可交易性,物业价格与指数价格之间存在独立的嘈声过程。本文利用伊藤引理和滤波原理,对指数价格进行一定的折旧修正和嘈声滤波,使得物业价格动态方程具有可测性。采用欧式期权定价方法,研究房地产物业的实物期权价值。     

数字时代的银行业变迁——网点布局与行业结构

数字技术可以帮助市场主体重构组织模式,数字经济时代的金融业也因此迎来变革。本文基于2014年至2019年我国县级行政区数据,研究发现,数字金融的发展显著减缓了我国银行业金融机构实体网点的扩张势头,这种效应主要体现在股份制商业银行和城市商业银行上,并主要影响这两类银行的基层机构。同时,我们发现数字金融的发展加快了农村合作金融机构的转型和网点退出,但对国有“六大行”没有显著影响。进一步研究发现,数字金融的影响效果会随着经济发展程度提高和地区金融可得性增加而增强,但随着在位银行的市场势力提升而下降。本文为理解数字经济时代银行业的变迁提供了一定参考。     

对第三部门经济核算若干理论问题的再思考

在以前相关研究成果的基础上对第三部门的理论含义、分类的原则和方法以及第三部门经济核算的基本内容、方法和功能等进行了进一步的研究和思考,同时,对第三部门经济核算与第三产业核算之间的关系进行分析,并提出第三部门经济核算是有别于第三产业核算的一种新型经济核算、是对国民经济核算范围的一种拓展的观点。     

信贷技术、银行业竞争与中小企业融资

不同的银行信贷技术对中小企业具有不同的影响,银行业的逐渐开放,竞争的日益激烈,银行间并购逐年增加,银行业竞争结构的变化严重影响着中小企业融资。随着中国经济与世界经济接轨程度的加大,《新巴塞尔协议》的逐步推行,将不同程度影响银行业竞争结构及中小企业的信贷供给。因此,在制定相关政策时,要充分考虑金融政策的传导机制,不仅考虑其对金融体系及金融中介竞争结构的影响,而且还要考虑到对中小企业融资的间接影响。
