专业英语的教学改革,须从学生的实际水平出发,教师应更新教育思想观念,考虑他们的兴趣和学习需求,实现"教和学"良性互动。因此寻求一套可行的土木工程专业英语的教学方法显得尤为重要。本文重点探讨了通过土木工程专业英语特点和教学现状,以及如何更好的完成教学工作。     

Military expenditure in post-conflict societies

Post-conflict situations face a high risk of reversion to conflict. We investigate the effect of military expenditure by the government during the first decade post-conflict on the risk of reversion. We contrast two theories as to the likely effects. In one, military spending deters conflict by reducing the prospects of rebel success. In the other it acts as a signal to the rebels of government intentions. In the signalling model, low military spending signals that the government intends to adhere to the terms of the peace settlement and so reduces the risk of renewed rebellion. We investigate the effects of post-conflict military spending on the risk of conflict, using our existing models of military expenditure and of conflict risk. We find that, consistent with the signalling model, high military spending post-conflict significantly increases the risk of renewed conflict. This effect of military spending is distinctive to post-conflict period, and becomes progressively more pronounced over the decade. 产业保护政策和第五航权开放

我国第五航权的开放刚开始起步。受传统的产业保护政策、经济全球化及WTO相关开放时间表影响,是否进一步开放航权或是继续给予民航业政策保护成为学术界近期争论的一个焦点。笔者通过借鉴美日两国的产业保护措施,同时以相关产业保护政策理论为基础,分析了我国"开放天空"的利弊,并进一步论证第五航权开放决策是符合我国当前经济发展趋势的。     

污泥在民用蜂窝煤生产中的应用研究

对污泥进行了物理化学性质分析，在原料煤粉中加入干化污泥制备民用蜂窝煤，当干化污泥的加入量为25％时，蜂窝煤的热值为20．25MJ／kg。

论配偶权侵权民事救济

配偶权是基于合法婚姻关系而在夫妻双方之间发生的、由夫妻醍方平等专属享有的要求对方陪伴、生活、钟爱、帮助的基本人身权。配偶权的具体内容包括同居权利义务、贞操忠实义务、夫妻姓名权、住所决定权、日常事务代理权等。我国民法对侵害配偶权的行为应当予以救济。     

Addressing Ethnicity in Sub-Saharan Africa: Institutions and Agency

African leaders have not used processes in constitutional reforms that would result in institutions that could, in turn, reduce ethnicity (ethnic consciousness and mobilization for effective ethnic group demands on the state). Popular methods used to manage ethnicity have serious costs and weaknesses. Proposed are constitutional reforms via stable equilibrium determination processes. Focal points embedded in the cultures of the groups, relating to political institutions, distributive justice, and societal civility should facilitate the tasks. Important as enabling factors are leadership activities within civil society, inter alia to promote mutual respect, generalized trust, and pluralistic solidarity. 论商业秘密的民法保护

民法保护是商业秘密法律保护的重要组成部分,对于保护商业秘密权利人的合法权益,维护正常的市场竞争环境,建立和谐的市场竞争秩序,具有十分重要的作用。在民法保护中,应当准确界定商业秘密的权利归属,合理划分侵权诉讼的举证责任,明确商业秘密被侵权时可采取的法律保护形式,依法判定侵权人应当承担的民事法律责任。
