The importance of design for firms׳ competitiveness: A review of the literature

Scholars dedicated increasing attention towards appreciating how design has changed individuals? perception of new products, firms? understanding and formulation of strategy, or other relevant actors? approach to innovation and technology management. By emphasising the importance of design for the definition of consumers? needs, the restructuring of firms? organisational structures and strategies, and the evolution of firms? value creation processes, this review paper identifies relevant research gaps and questions that would benefit from future scholarly attention. In particular, it is suggested that such effort should address the analysis of how design consumption can help better comprehend consumers? needs; what are the implications of design thinking on the skill sets of design professionals; the organisational structure of firms, including the reconfiguration of other business functions, and their strategy; and whether and how design thinking can shape firms? value creation processes and contribute to the formalisation of design tasks.     

我国民间慈善组织的诚信缺失原因探究

我国民间慈善组织现已成为公益慈善体系不可或缺的重要组成部分,在构建社会主义和谐社会等方面发挥了重要作用,但部分民间慈善组织的诚信缺失严重影响了我国慈善事业的健康有序发展。本文在分析诚信缺失现状的基础上,深入探讨了产生我国民间慈善组织诚信缺失的三大原因。     

Vertical integration as a remedy for imbalances in the ‘Porterian’ value system. The Dutch financial securities industry at the beginning of the 20th century

The way of accounting for vertical integration, of this paper is based on the ‘Porterian’ value system and focuses on the relation between the creation and appropriation of value. The essence of a value system is that at each stage in the system value is created and added to the value created at previous stages. We propose that firms which are unable to appropriate the value they create at the stage they currently inhabit, would find it advantageous to integrate vertically towards stages offering a more attractive relation between value appropriation and value creation. This argument will be illustrated here by the case of a large Dutch bank that integrated vertically towards securities trading.

行业界限的模糊化和顾客需求的多样化和多变化,使得以竞争对手为焦点的战略定位越发显得不足,而以顾客价值为焦点的战略定位走入大家的视野。本文主要从这个角度重点论述了如何进行顾客价值分析,以及如何基于此进行战略定位。     

亏损上市公司价值评估模型的演变与启示

奥尔森(1995)和费森、奥尔森(1995)将以会计信息观为基础的传统公司价值评估模型拓展到了以会计计量观为基础的现代价值评估模型,使学者们研究价值评估问题的视角从价值分配转移到了价值创造上,进而引发了国内外学者们对亏损上市公司会计信息的价值相关性进行探讨。他们自Hayn(1995)开始相继提出了一系列评估亏损公司价值的理论模型,然而,无论是国外还是国内学者提出的亏损上市公司价值评估模型,在研究角度、研究内容、研究对象和研究方法上均存在一些问题,由此,笔者在考虑到亏损上市公司未来发展潜力的预测性和可变性情形下,提出运用投资者预期理论重新评估亏损上市公司的价值。     

Information technology innovation and its impact on job creation by SMEs in developing countries: an analysis of the literature review

ABSTRACT

This study reviews the literature on the role of technology innovation in job creation through small businesses in developing countries. A seven-step approach to the literature review is used for synthesising relevant data. The results show that technology innovations influence employment creation in small businesses positively and act as a driving force for economic development. The effective use of information technology in small businesses has a major impact on their competitiveness and access to international markets. Thus, the need for the government to develop technology innovative strategies for small businesses to actualise their firm performance and enhance job creation is recommended. The findings and proposed theoretical model of the study enrich existing theories and would help policymakers understand the role of information technology innovation in job creation and economic development.

An integrated replenishment-recruitment policy in a sustainable retailing system for deteriorating products

Currently, retail facilities play a significant role both economically and socially for their contributions to job creation and to reducing unemployment. In this paper, economic, environmental, and social issues, including unemployment, job creation for the local workforce within their hometown, the immigration of an unemployed workforce, and the naturalization of non-natives are addressed for a retailer. We explore the class of deteriorating products from the viewpoint of its economic and environmental features. Then, a linear multi-objective mathematical model is developed to determine an integrated replenishment and recruitment policy for the retailer in the direction of sustainability. Using data from the flower industry, a numerical analysis is presented. The results indicate that if necessary facilities and infrastructures are provided to permanently settle qualified immigrants, both social and economic indicators will be improved. We also determine that by concentrating on strategies such as job creation for natives through retail facilities with no increase in production capacity and by applying careful policies for immigration and naturalization, social welfare can be improved.     

旅游小城镇—贵州乡村经济发展的路径选择

中央十八大提出,把新型城镇化作为中国保持经济高速增长和解决农村发展的战略规划。贵州乡村经济的发展,应将乡村地区结合禀赋资源、经济状况和文化技术水平,发展特色旅游业来作为农村小城镇的主导产业。本文应用新制度经济学的路径依赖理论,以贵州农村地区资源和旅游收入绩效来实证建设与发展旅游小城镇意义,分析贵州目前乡村观光旅游存在着多种无效率的路径锁定,并创新性提出中国乡村旅游特有的一种无效率路径锁定,村级组织锁定,进一步提出旅游小城镇建设就是打破这些锁定的最有效路径创造,最后提出旅游小城镇建设一些基本措施。
