新形势下高校支部设置的新模式——学生班级党支部的尝试与探索

学生班级党支部是顺应扩招新形势而产生的高校支部设置的新模式,其对于学生党员组织能力的培养、先进性的发挥,以及党支部、班委和团支部工作的协同运行有着重要的意义。同时,在班级支部的创建过程中,支部书记的选配与培养、管理制度的建立与完善、组织生活的指导与监督又极其重要。在其管理过程中,不同的发展阶段,我们的管理策略亦应有所不同。     

论当代中国社会阶层结构变迁与经济现代化

社会阶层结构本质上是经济结构的社会反映和表现形式,经济现代化需要社会阶层结构的现代化。经济现代化的推进促使当代中国的社会阶层结构发生了深刻变化,但后者与经济现代化尚不适应。推动社会阶层结构向现代化转变的关键是发展经济。

Youth on the road: Reflections on the history of tramping

Tourism is conventionally traced to the eighteenth century Grand Tour of aristocratic youth which, it is then suggested, was gradually democratized and adopted in modified form by the middle classes. In such a perspective, the road culture of contemporary youth travelers would simply represent one form of this democratized elite tradition. This paper argues instead that contemporary road culture is better seen as an upwardly rather than downwardly mobile cultural form. Tramping originated as a well-institutionalized travel pattern of working class youth. Despite its instrumental functions, it always had touristic components, serving as the young workingman's Grand Tour. When, in the course of the nineteenth century, it declined as a labor institution, it was romanticized and adopted by middle class youth for exclusively tourist purposes.

Confirmatory and Structural Categorical Latent Variables Models

The paper proposes a general framework for modeling multiple categorical latent variables (MCLV). The MCLV models extend latent class analysis or latent transition analysis to allow flexible measurement and structural components between endogenous categorical latent variables and exogenous covariates. Therefore, modeling frameworks in conventional structural equation models, for example, CFA and MIMIC models are feasible in the MCLV circumstances. Parameter estimations for the MCLV models are performed by using generalized expectation–maximization (E–M) algorithm. In addition, the adjusted Bayesian information criterion provides help for model selections. A substantive study of reading development is analyzed to illustrate the feasibility of MCLV models.

The (International) Political Economy of Falling Wage Shares: Situating Working-Class Agency

This paper relates the financial and monetary dimensions of the contemporary economic crisis to working-class agency via a central concern of classical political economy: the distribution of surplus between the chief factors of production. The fall in the wage share of value added is now accepted as a stylised fact in the empirical economic literature. This paper argues that the punctuated pattern of the development validates the regulation theoretical narrative of an epochal shift from Fordism to finance-led accumulation. Furthermore, synthesising econometric studies supports a class-centred explanation. In the last instance, the falling wage share is due to successful transnational class rule in the form of a neoliberal hegemonic paradigm. Crucially, such class rule restructured the environment of trade unions, rendering increasingly ineffective its relational power resources. The paper concludes by considering the contradictory implications for organised labour of the current financial crisis. On the one hand, the financial crisis offers an opportunity to link its particular interests to the general interest of macroeconomic management since low wage share inhibits growth rates. But how might trade unions assert a higher wage share in the face of the structural power of (financial) capital?     

New business formation and employment growth: some evidence for the Spanish manufacturing industry

This paper explores the effects of new business formation on employment growth in Spanish manufacturing industries. New firms are believed to make an important contribution to economic growth but the extent of this contribution is unclear. We consider time lags of new firm formation as explanatory variables of employment change and identify how long the effect of new firm entries on employment lasts. Our main results show that the effects of new business formation are positive in the short term, negative in the medium term and positive in the long term, thus confirming the existence of indirect supply-side effects found in similar studies for other countries.

股东派生诉讼制度与集团诉讼制度有密切的联系。我国在建构股东派生诉讼制度的过程中应注意其与集团诉讼制度的结合。在股东派生诉讼中,原告股东应有广泛的代表性;公司和法院对于原告的起诉应当发布公告;公司原告的撤诉与和解应保障其他股东的知情权;派生诉讼的判决和法院批准的和解协议对全体股东均有约束力。
