Trend breaks in the research and development process

This work examines the behaviour of the input and output measures of the R&D process in the United States, Germany, France and the United Kingdom, in the second half of the 20th century. The researcher and idea stock series can be construed as stationary fluctuations around a trend function, with a main breakpoint at the end of the 1960s. All the countries exhibit slower growth after their last breaks that during the decades preceding its first breaks. In this connection, the United States and Germany appear to represent the end points in the range of incidence.

"员工为什么离职?"这一问题激发了组织管理学者的研究兴趣。本文试图从两个方面,即工作控制感和金钱动力,对这一问题进行探讨,并考察它们之间的交互作用。对319名员工的调查数据表明,工作控制感同离职意向负相关,金钱动力同离职意向正相关,并且它们之间存在显著的交互效应,表现为员工的金钱动力越强,工作控制感对离职意向的负影响就变得越弱。

Employer Recognition of Same-Sex Relationships in the United States: Legal and Economic Implications

Recognition of same-sex relationships is receiving increasing national attention in the United States. This paper discusses the current availability of employee rights in the United States on the basis of marital status to same-sex couples, and both the direct and indirect economic consequences to organizations of providing such rights. Despite legal recognition in some states and by many employers in the private sector, the availability of marital rights in the workplace for same-sex couples remains tenuous, at most. Although the direct economic consequences of same-sex relationships remain a matter of debate, the indirect economic advantages are several, including being an employer of choice and having a favorable reputation in the consumer, stockholder, and applicant marketplace. Employers should counterbalance indirect economic benefits with opposition to same-sex relationships, including product boycotts. The issue cannot be ignored from a legal or economic perspective.     

Marriage and employment participation with wage bargaining in search equilibrium

We build an equilibrium search model where married couples make joint decisions on home production and labour market participation and analyse the implications of our results for a frictional marriage market. A worker's bargaining position reflects their productivity, and the productivity and employment status of their spouse. People sometimes accept transitory jobs only to raise the spouse's long-term wages. Firms sometimes reduce turnover by unilaterally increasing a worker's wage, ensuring that the spouse stays at home.     

女大学生对在校期间结婚和生育的态度及影响因素研究--基于北京29所高校的调查分析

利用2009年10月北京高校大学生人口计生服务管理现状研究的调查数据,对835名在校女大学生对在校期间结婚和生育的态度及影响因素进行了分析。77.1%和32.2%的女大学生表示知道在校期间允许结婚和生育,但赞同的比例较低,学校类别、年级及母亲职业与女大学生对待结婚的态度有关;专业类别、年级及母亲教育程度与女大学生对待生育的态度有关。虽然绝大多数女大学生能正确看待在校期间结婚和生育问题,但高校仍然需要加强生殖健康/计划生育知识的宣传和教育,并将其纳入高校计生部门的服务管理范围,分类管理,为高校女大学生提供更加人性化的服务。
