Proactive personality and work performance in China: The moderating effects of emotional exhaustion and perceived safety climate

Grounded in the interactionist paradigm, this study shows that emotional exhaustion and perceived safety climate constitute important moderators of the relationship between proactive personality and work performance. More specifically, the study analyzes the relationship between proactive personality and its behavioural outcomes—organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB) and job performance—and investigates the interactive effects of emotional exhaustion and perceived safety climate. The study involves 485 Chinese airline employees including pilots, flight attendants, engineers, and service employees. Proactive personality positively predicted OCB and individual performance. Emotional exhaustion and perceived safety climate moderated the relationship between proactive personality and individual performance both independently and jointly. Bridging ties and the role of research and start-up experience on the early growth of Dutch academic spin-offs

Bridging ties are important for obtaining new information. However, when entrepreneurs try to bridge between two networks, they may face problems due to the variety of knowledge among individuals in both networks. In this paper, we argue that specific human capital is essential for interpreting new information and coordinating action when bridging between networks. In a sample of 70 Dutch academic spin-offs, our findings show that specific human capital increases the relative impact of bridging ties on early spin-off growth. This paper sheds light on the value of bridging ties for entrepreneurs and provides implications for practitioners.     

中国百岁老人养老问题研究

利用"中国高龄老人健康长寿"课题1998年调查数据,对中国百岁老人老有所养、病有所医、老有所乐等养老问题进行了初步分析.研究表明,中国百岁老人基本上实现了老有所养、病有所医和老有所乐,家庭在百岁老人养老中占绝对主导地位,是百岁老人经济供养、病时生活照料和精神慰藉的主要承担者,社会所起作用甚微.百岁老人的经济自立状况、医疗需求满足程度及医疗照料资源的可获性因城乡、性别及居住方式而异,并直接影响到其对生活的评价.社会和政府应更多地关注独居百岁老人及靠社会救济的百岁老人.     

外语学习中情感教育的策略

在当代外语教学中越来越多的人关注情感因素的作用。文章中作者分析了情感态度的作用,提出了一些行之有效的实施情感教育的策略。认为建立良好的师生关系是培养和发展学生积极情感的前提;尊重学生是实施情感教学的重要环节;营造和谐的学习氛围是实行情感教育的关键。     

浅析情感因素对服装设计的影响

服装设计如同艺术表现,是一种情感的物质化表现。论文通过对情感的内涵特征、影响因素、作用意义等方面进行分析,探讨服装设计中基本的色彩、形态、材质含有的"情感因素"的作用,来了解和把握有关服装设计中"情感"的效能运用及表达。同时通过对一些著名服装设计师作品中存在的情感因素的运用与把握,进一步概述了现代流行服装中的各种情感因素的表达。     

组织内员工关系与知识共享——基于工作关系与私人关系区分视角的实证分析

较正式的工作关系和非正式的私人关系是组织内员工间的两类基本关系,然而现有研究在探讨员工关系与知识共享间关系时,很少对这两类关系加以区分,对它们与员工知识共享间的作用机制缺乏足够的解释,文章对这一问题进行了初步探讨。在理论分析基础上,构建了员工工作关系、私人关系与知识共享间关系的概念模型,并讨论了作为情境变量的组织知识管理战略对上述关系的影响。基于问卷调查数据,对上述理论模型进行了实证检验,研究发现:工作关系和私人关系对员工知识共享都有显著的正面影响;工作关系在私人关系和员工知识共享间发挥中介作用;"人"导向的知识管理战略在私人关系和工作关系间发挥正向调节作用,并通过工作关系的中介作用对员工知识共享产生影响。最后,探讨了实证分析结果的理论意义和实践启示,并指出了进一步研究的方向。     

Where do international board members come from? Country-level antecedents of international board member selection in European boards

In this paper, it is argued that boards internationalize by recruiting international directors in order to increase companies’ performance. However, increasing nationality diversity on a board can be costly considering that it potentially creates cooperative problems on a board due to fault-lines and separation processes. As a result, boards will prefer international candidates who are more similar to themselves on a variety of ‘distances’. Based on data collected regarding 5683 board members of 361 companies from 15 countries in 2005–2007, we discover that the greater the distance (cultural, institutional and geographical) between the candidates’ and the companies’ country-of-origin, the lower the fraction of board members of that nationality on boards. Subsequently, it is argued that historical ties between countries play a ‘distance compressing’ role and partially compensate for the effects of distance. A colonial tie between countries will make recruitment of these particular nationalities more likely than others.

反思水平的设计是情感化设计的最高层次,其核心是文化。传统民间造物艺术所包含的自然观、器物观、人际观蕴藏着中国传统文化的智慧和精髓,构成了中国传统文化稳定的内核,并与当代设计中的＂以人为本＂、可持续发展、适度设计、高情感满足和人格化设计等设计理念遥相呼应,且意义更加深广。研究传统民间造物艺术的文化内涵,对于拓展和丰富当代设计理论,提升反思水平情感化设计品质,推进中国本土化设计风格的形成,均有着重要的现实指导意义。
