运用灰色关联度法评价铁路客运企业形象

基于K-均值聚类分析的航班不正常时旅客行为分类

航班不正常是旅客投诉的主要原因之一，也是容易与地面服务人员产生冲突的主要原因之一。帮助地面服务工作人员能快速识别旅客需求、快速响应并满足旅客在航班不正常时的服务抱怨、提高航班不正常时旅客服务质量具有重要意义。为此，构建了航班不正常时旅客行为评价指标，通过问卷调查得到旅客行为数据，采用K-均值聚类分析法将航班不正常时旅客分为4类，并筛选出不同类旅客的行为表现指标。     

Ethical and moral considerations of airline management

Air transport is a relatively new industry. It has expanded rapidly and now is an exceptionally safe way to travel. But all may not be well. Despite all this achievement, the human face of commercial aviation has been somewhat tarnished by the very prolific growth of carriage by air, and the monotonous regularity with which it is executed. Aviation business management needs to go back to basics, where the formula “everyone needs to know and feel that he is needed; and everyone wants to be treated as an individual” has to be revisited in the face of modern exigencies experienced by the passenger. The issue is likely to gain in importance in the future as economic, political and social trends affect the types of people who wish to use air transport. Airline managers have to be aware of the need to identify passengers in need and offer tangible support and assistance. This article addresses issues relating to the human face of aviation management and looks at some of the proposals to improve current practices.

Drivers and barriers to online airline ticket purchasing

Although online sales of airline tickets are growing, many travellers are still reluctant to use the web as a purchase channel. Given the cost advantages of online sales for airlines, it is useful for them to know the main drivers and barriers affecting the use of the Internet to purchase tickets. This study analyses the influence of risk, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use on the airline ticket online purchase intention. The results of a survey show that perceived purchase risk and perceived usefulness exercise a direct influence on airline ticket purchasing intentions, while perceived ease of use has an indirect influence through perceived usefulness. Psychological risk, performance risk and privacy risk are the predominant perceived risk dimensions in airline tickets purchase, whereas social risk and time loss risk are negligible.     

A multivariate neural forecasting modeling for air transport – Preprocessed by decomposition: A Brazilian application

An artificial neural forecasting model is developed for air transport passenger analysis. It uses a preprocessing method that decomposes information to reveal relevant features from the data. It is found that neural processing outperforms the traditional econometric approach and offers generalization on time series behavior, even where there are only small samples.
